I had to record this morning to watch tonight, I couldn't wait as they spend 10 minutes screaming storm troopers and explaining FBI agents sleep/work schedule, The Americans was calling to me from my dvr.

I noticed last night while watching 11th Hour that the library back drop we see every day on MJ is used by all shows when someone isn't on set.

In the evening it's cast in a blue ish light. 

The Guiliani thing happened during the 9 pm Hannity so O'Donnell & Williams were all over it.  JoMika had the advantage of Williams' staff cutting those Guiliani/Hannity clips, as they were doing it live and getting them on air as they cut them.   I hope they thanked Williams and his team for getting that done so they had them ready to air this morning.  As usual, they show up and have 90% of their scripts and work done for them by the prime time shows, so all they have to do is sip on Starbucks and yell "stormtroopers!"

Kasie didn't look very happy when Mika told her the lightning bolt will never stop.   Kasie you made your bed with them, now you get to lay in it, ad infinitum. Hope it was worth it.

Mika used to wear sleeveless dresses with a high hemline. She would show off her legs. They did segments at a glass cocktail table. With Joe so you could see her full dress & legs. I thought they were trying to copy Fox & Friends.

I may not remember correctly, but my recollection is that Joe's cake was not that great either. It seemed to be just a generic Morning Joe cake. It seems like Mika did the best, with a cake, apple pie and flowers.

Wow.  Meeka inspires us all with her Knowing Her Value.  Shallow...turned the show on around 7:30; I loved the blue top and the pushed up "girls" so I was expecting an Avenati appearance.  What was going on with the eye make-up?  Slathered on but not all that unattractive.  Has she decided to play up her blue eyes?  I had to leave so didn't get to see Avenati...wasn't he supposed to be on?

And what is this we have?  Joe not appearing on his own set for his own show for how many days now this year?  Can you imagine how many well-qualified, charismatic and intelligent reporters would kill for a 3-hour show every day?  And would be happy to come into the studio.  There must be a way to get a count.

Ya know Kemper they have beaten me into submission and I could care less if either of them show up or where they are.  After Joe's stormtrooper Tourette attack earlier today the show has become so undisciplined that it doesn't really matter who is in what studio anymore.  Now with Giuliani calling Comey a sensitive little baby when he defended the NY FBI, I would imagine tomorrow will be three (or maybe 2 1/2) hours of the same.  I would also imagine CNN and NBC will go halfsies on a shuttle between their studios for Avenatti as he is going to become a regular at both stations at all hours of the day.

Kemper I think Avenatti was on at the top of the last hour (they had the Avenatti clock up since pretty much the beginning of the show to let folks know).  If I were other guests I would be slightly insulted.

It really is staggering the amount of money they spend on these two between staffing, bunkers, travel to remote locations for no discernible reason (never did figure out why they were in DC) and they return the favor by barely showing up and putting in a minimum of effort or prep work.  When you watch Cuomo or Camerota you can hear in their questions and follow up the work that went into their show.  All MJ has is Joe tripping the light fantastic down congressional memory lane and Mika spinning around in her chair and hurling questions that occasionally land (I think she was going to rough up Avenatti but then quickly thought better of it.  Lightning doesn't strike twice Meeks).  Both morning shows and many other cable shows throughout the day had Michael Caputo on for interviews after his interview with Mueller's team but not MJ.  It seems like their circle of "gets" is shrinking.

 That's right! I forgot about him! BriWi showed that interview last night, he was losing his shit over it. 

Let's face it, the serious political junkies don't watch MJ as a source of information, they know it's 5% news, 95% horseshit/ego.  Maybe since it's early in the morning MSNBC doesn't care what they do, most people aren't ready to  pay attention to a breaking story like they would in the evening.  They're running around getting ready for work, etc.

It is exhausting to try & recap this show. I used to come home & watch the parts of the show that I missed when I left for work. Now I save it for the weekend if I am bored. I remember reading that Morning Joe was bringing in $30M in advertising revenue a couple of years ago & was very profitable for the network. It could be higher now since ratings are around 1M viewers per day. MSNBC is willing to pay Mika & Joe $15M to show up or not because revenues are probably higher than $30M.

Mika used to try & get good guests using her family Rolodex in 2008-2010. Now she could care less who os on the show.

Every day now is Trump or Trump's cronies did something outrageous. Trump is doomed & going to jail.

Nothing else is happening in the USA or the world. I am so happy that we have peace & prosperity & no crime & everything is Peachy in Syria, Africa & Asia.

Friday recap: Mika is alone today, so she is hyped up with her "Mika is a tough journalist" voice. Joe is on assignment. LOL! Probably watching a soccer game.

Donny Deutsh is back on the show after getting into an altercation in a bar with another man. It was on Page 6.

Mika is wearing a dark blue top with a v neckline. Ferecio is wearing one of those black dresses with white lines. I don't like that.

Barnicle is on the set.

Turley & Teddy Savalas are the two lawyers. Giuiliani is off his meds & making life worse for Trump. Mika said rump told them during the transition that Giuliani was too erratic to be Secretary of State.

The top 2 words today were StormTroopers & Porn Star.

I am tired of Stormy Daniels porn star case.

Did anyone think that Trump wouldn't have had affairs with porn stars or other women in the 1990's & 2000's?

CNN is talking about the allegations against Charlie Rose. Charlie Rose , Mark Halperin & Harold Ford Jr & Donny Deutsh were the big name guests at Mika & Joe's engagement party last fall.

I find it hilarious that Mika is surrounded by all these sexual predators, yet doesn't even bother to discuss it on the air. All this outrage from her about Trump & Porn Stars just makes me laugh.

I wonder what will happen  if  allegations of sexual misconduct come out against Donnie. Will he still be allowed on the show?

The Washington Post reporter is reporting that former Morning Joe Producer Chris Licht knew that Charlie Rose was sexually harassing young employees. Licht now produces the Colbert Report. Licht did not escalate the report to senior management at CBS . Licht decided not to tell senior management about the sexual harassment.

Mika was working at CBS & 60 Minutes in the 1990's & 2000's. I wonder if Mika will defend Charlie Rose like she did with Tom Brokaw.

Hey there is a new guy on Morning Joe.

That guy started popping up I believe yesterday afternoon as I saw him on the afternoon shows.  I went to look up who he is on their Twitter feed (they didn't release the list of guest names until 15 after the show started, sigh) but I did notice Carol Burnett is going to be on so I need to remember to tune in probably at the end of the show.

That's a weird one, innit. Everyone's known about Donnie's misconduct for years, but his entire persona is built about being a "womanizer" so the conversation about him always spins around that instead. He's on record praising Trump for his ickiness before they became enemies.

I didn't know this latest development and MJ link, thanks for sharing Oakville. Disappointing. I don't know how Mika's KYV isn't being torn down as the result of her proximity to all of this. I can't believe she didn't know what was going on. In situations like that almost everyone working in the environment knows. The whole Morning Joe family needs to be asked some tough questions and do some introspection on why they have an environment so very welcoming to male sexual harassers.

I wish I could get more detailed rating reports. I am stunned that 1 million people tune it to watch Boring Joe. I suppose I watch now like I would watch the on bronco car chase. You know it will crash but when?

I hope the show focuses on the midterm elections in the fall. 

I hope Mueller comes out with his report before the election.

He's really good. Rachel had him on last night.  I like him better than Ari when it comes to legal explanations, he's not as  blunt as Ari Melber, and doesn't try to impress with rap references that no one gets. 

Maybe Mika could watch Rachel and learn something. Oh that's right, Joe hates Rachel, and Rachel already knows her value.

I used t recap Morning Joe to keep track of whether or not Mika & Joe political predictions made any sense. Now it's just fashion talk & Joe getting outraged over everything Trump says. New Day looks like a show I would watch & pay attention to.

I would like to get Mika's response to the Charlie Rose mess. Mika worked on 60 minutes II. What the hell was going on there ? Why was Chris Licht turning a blind eye to sexual misconduct? Was he doing this on Morning Joe as well ? Mika is the only woman co host on Morning Joe. I wonder if any low level Morning Joe staffers were sexually harassed by Halperin or others?

There are clips on You Tube of Joe & Rachel getting into loud arguments on Meet The Press & other shows. Joe has not been allowed back on Meet The Press since then.
