You know, they don't spend a lot of time on her, relatively speaking. When that book Shattered came out they barely mentioned it. I suspect that Halperin is still working on whatever gossipy tell-all he usually does after elections and they want to keep him from being too pre-empted.

Halperin & Heilemann are working on a Game Chage book about the 2016 election.

The first one was pro Obama & anti Hillary.

I think this one will be very anti Hillary.

I am sure that Mika & Joe will be featured in the book.

And Chris Christie just needs to find himself a nice private beach in, oh, I don't know...one of the Keys, maybe.

I don't know what it is about him, but I always believe whatever it is that he's saying.  He just puts it out there so confidently, no stammering Sean Spicer-style.  I'm sure he's a filthy rotten liar, but I usually find myself saying, after he's done talking, "That makes sense."

I wish they had some sort of "You may want to take your children out of the room" warning before they show any more scrolling Steve Bannon photo montages. That's some harsh shit there.  Bad rosacea and......evil

I have a feeling they didn't really want to talk about porn at 6 am.

It had already been taken down when I saw the stuff on Twitter around 6:30.  He's saying it was a staffer who accidentally hit "like" on something.  People probably tweet stuff at him all the time, I've hit the wrong button, and if you hit like there is no taking it back.

Wednesday Recap. Mika is wearing a scarf with a black top. Joe is wearing a red dotted tie.

They covered the aftermath of Hurricae Irma. Joe said he lived through many hurricanes.

Politics started at 5 minutes. Joe said the GOP has not gotten its act together over the past 7 years.

Joe likes the theory of 175 GOP's + 50 Democrats to get things done.

Joe likes the idea of the gang of 6 bi partisan senators to get tax reform done.

The panel tried to talk about different tax measures but they weren't really sure  what Trump would do.

Will they cut the top rate? Reduce Deductions? Repatriate funds from overseas?

Kasie! is in the library looking lovely in black.

Halperin talked about Cornhuster deals. Special deals foe each Senator to get a vote on tax reform.

At 6 22 am, Mika mocked Sarah Huckabee for having prepared remarks about Comey being charged for leaking memos to the NY Times.

Mika challenged Kasie! on all the messes that Trump has created by firing Comey. Kasie! explained the issue with a smile.

Joe wants Trump to pivot on Charlottsville. There is a special resolution condemning white nationalism.

Trump will have to sign the bill.

The panel is upset that they haven't been able to blame Trump too much for the hurricane.

Joe says that Trump has gone from Category 5 to Category 2 in terms of chaos.

Joe said that Trump outrage is receding. Trump has been stable for 7-10 days.

Mika tried to defend Luis Gutirrez for calling General Kelly a disgrace to the uniform for not supporting DACA. Joe said it will be fixed as a law. Joe wants Luis to apologize.

Mika is mad at anyone who supported Trump. Joe is shouting at her that Luis is wrong.

Mika's body language at 713 is bad. She is physically turning away from Joe.

I don't like it when Mommy & Daddy are fighting.

Willie said Daca will be fixed, so Luis should stop insulting Kelly.

When you listen to SHS w/o watching her, she is so dry, drier than Death Valley.  It's like she is an entire 180 from Spicey who was always stammering over the lies like he didn't want to be there.  She spews Trumps crap w/o any misgivings at all.

I found it interesting that at the end of the segment where Joe was blasting Luis, Mika said that Democrats being a 1 note shrill attacking Trump won't win them back the House in 2018.

isnt that what Mika has being doing sinch March?

Anything Joe let likes, I dislike.

Pretty pathetic that Congress has to send a resolution against the KKK, etc to the president to sign. What a sad commentary on the state of the man in charge.

He will sign only because he will be forced to.

Yeah, but she's not the Democratic party. The show has often questioned the failure of the Democratic establishment to articulate any raison d'etre other than "not Trump." They did it when Ossoff lost and they did it when the Dems released their dumb platform (Better Together? Stronger Together? A Better Deal? I can't even remember now.) Bottom line is, Mika can do what she wants, but the Dems need to come up with a positive reason for voters to pick them.

The discussion at the end about Bill Clinton's wife's appearance on the Today show was funny. Bless Mika's heart for repeating the truth that there wouldn't have been a Comey letter without a sketchy email server.

Joe might want to listen to this before he makes more of his idiotic comments on how to take out Kim Jung-un.  NK has a "three generation punishment" rule, if you get caught trying to overthrow or do something against the gov't, you, your kids and your grandkids are punished.

So even if his brilliant plan of having the Chinese use the generals to take Kim out, do you think they all want to risk their families?

Hmmmm, mom MIA, dad in the bunker but looking jaunty . . . I have to say, the show so far is very good (maybe because Halperin isn't there) and apparently something incredibly funny happened right before they went on air as the only one that could keep a straight face was Willie Geist (Harold Ford Jr. had to use the "I need a sip of water" to cover the smirk on his face).  Major kudos for the dump on Mnuchin and his request for a private (and publicly funded) plane for his honeymoon, fie on him and his wife!

Thursday Recap. Joe is in the bunker. Mika is off licking her wounds at not being able to attack Trump because he made another deal with Chuck & Nancy.

Joe is happy that Trump is close to making a deal over DACA in exchange for more border security. Joe said Trump likes deals that make 90% of the people happy.

Joe is shouting at everyone from the Bunker that he was right that the GOP can't get anything done. He mocked them for not replacing Obamacare. Chuck & Nancy have the votes.

Only 12% supporting deporting Dreamers.

Heileman is baffled how Chuck & Nancy have more power under Trump than Obama.

Joe supports Trump attacking Hillary after she started whining about losing the election.

Heileman does not think there will be a wall.

The panel seemed puzzled over wishy washy trump's trying to keep playing BFF to Nancy and Chuck.  I think they're using him knowing it will make his life miserable.

For me, I think they are working with him to get their agenda accomplished and if in the process his poll numbers rise he will be a happy camper which I think they will as everyone is beyond tired of the gridlock.  He doesn't like Ryan and McConnell as they don't play well with him.  He likes Chuck and Nancy as they have a long standing relationship with him.  Rich people don't have a party affiliation, they will always side with what is best for their bottom line.

The cover of that book looked like a Harlequin-type penny Western. It seems Trump is acting better and getting things done.  I am concerned that will get him re-elected.  That's probably a bad thing for me to put first, but there it is

For those who are interested, Mika is teasing some kind of big news on Instagram.  She is being coy, but so far she has confirmed that she is not pregnant.  Ha.  I am guessing it has something to do with Know Your Value.  Or possibly she is leaving MJ to start a chicken farm.  (She is using her roosters to do the teasing.)

I was furious at the scant amount of time that was spent grilling that monster Cassidy over the latest play to yank healthcare away from 32 million Americans. He sat there and lied into the cameras and all they could ask him was, "So what do you think about Trump working with Democrats on DACA?"

32. Million. People.

It made me sick to my stomach.

I've been wondering if she's going to leave the show. And that shortly thereafter Joe will follow.  Or at least Willie will be host on set and Joe will come on with his bon mots and "I talked to" bs.

They have missed a ton of the show recently, and thought it might be MSNBC finding out if the ratings drop if Willie hosts and they aren't there.

After dealing with the schizo GOPs in Congress, they have a ton of practice at working with babies.

A lot of the stuff Trump does, is because someone told him people will love this.  Then he keeps seeing that people actually hate it, so, as he wants to be loved more than hold to what he promised on the campaign, he'll work with the Dems.   I don't even think he gives a shit that much about immigration or the wall, but it's one of those things where if he lets it go, he looks like a pussy.  If people stop bringing it up, he'll let it drop.

I know he's an asshole, but if him being in office flips seats in Congress, and they can finally get shit done, all the better.  Until the GOP starts fighting him like they did Obama.  But then he gets on Twitter and threatens them with a primary.

Not that I would know lately, since my idiot local NBC affiliate and my idiot cable provider, AT&T, is locked in a death match of who'll blink first since Labor Day.

Friday Recap. Mika is off. Joe showed up in the NY Studio. Kasie! get a panelist spot. Willie & Katty are on the panel. Another terrorist attack in London . Katty said the British are used to these attacks since the blitz and are blase about it. I wonder if Katty would feel this way if a member of her family were hurt or killed in one of these attacks.

Joe bragged about being in London this summer. It was crowded this summer which interfered with his glamor shots of him & Mika at popular tourist atractions.

Joe is mocking Ann Coulter for supporting Trump over daca. Joe said everyone knows that Trump would ne more reasonable with immigrants once he got into power.

Donnie said Trump is behaving like the old Trump that he knew. Trump understands math & 33% is not enough to win re election

There was a long debate about free speech on campuses. Eddie Glaude was upset that people criticize affirmative actions.

Joe started shouting that he was outnumbered in Alabama by Liberals who were pro choice.

Joe said Liberal kids are bubble wrapped and can't handle Bush or Trump being President.

Katty Kay was upset that female members of the elite like Condi Rice & Christine Lagarde cold not speak on college campuses.

Noah said that Shapiro is Jewish & should not have to face death threats from college kids.

Joe is wearing a nice blazer. Kudos to Mika for burning his fleece wear.

I am watching this morning, and the professor from Princeton is a total bore to me.  I can barely follow his train of thought, and he even confused himself, and I loved when the camera panned out, and the whole panel had a WTF look on their faces.

I agreed with Joe that Sessions should have told Trump to fuck off after Trump humiliated him.  But Sessions is such a weasel, I have zero sympathy for him.

The panel is pretty quiet today. Donnie hasn't attacked Trump personally yet.

Joe said he owned 40 acres of land in rural Connecticut. Will he open a new bunker?

Kasie joked about the cultural divide on the panel. I think people are upset at Eddie Glaude. He went to far in attacking conservatives for being allowed to speak on campuses.

They show has too many photos of Trump on today. His head looks enormous.

Katty Kay made fun of Joe's chickens.

Scarborough comes off like a 1% asshole talking about his 40 acres of land in rural Connecticut, presumably New Canaan.   A plot of land like that in New Canaan would cost multi-millions.   Only two weeks ago this report came out:

And yet household incomes are up 3.2% and poverty is on the decline. So does that indicate more families have higher debt to incomer ratios?

Have they even discussed the Equifax debacle? Because it gets worse every day.  This isn't like a retail web site that you use to make purchases or pay your credit card. These assholes have our information yet not because we gave it to them.  And there was a security patch they knew they should have installed but didn't.    Senate & House investigations are called for. Joe really got on my nerves today.  I don't understand why he isn't president since he knows everything, knows how to handle everything, knows how to deal with every type of person.  He was a model congressman - always correctly dealing with every situation.

Since he was so on my nerves today I was only half listening to the show, and couldn't be bothered rewinding (I dvr the show).  So only conservatives are open minded?????  Only liberal kids live in a bubble?????  What a bunch of crap.

Good morning, welcome to a show about nothing.  Just a panel of boring people that like to hear themselves talk.

I turned the channel to watch Chris and Alysin talk about North Korea.

At one point when I turned back to MJ, I had the unfortunate luck of hearing someone mutter, "3 1/2 or 7 1/2 years."  Gah!

Katty reminds me of Candice Bergen at her age. Katty got a degree from Oxford.

Mika has been taking a lot more time off than usual.

The show has become too focused on politics since Trump started campaigning.

It is losing its bite as Trump returns to somewhat more normal behavior.

I did watch Cuomo during the hurricane coverage a few days ago. He bragged that he was 6 ft 3 & weighed 230 lbs. Irma would not get him to lose his balance while reporting.

My family are the late Gov Mario Cuomo lovers from way back.  I personally love the Cuomos.  Don't think Chris was bragging, just stating a fact.  Haven't watched much of the disaster coverage, but did see an MSNBC reporter, slightly built, tethered to a post, and still almost being swept away.

Katty is annoying to me. IMO, she's quite the lickspittle (a new word I learned this week! Ha!)  when it comes to Joe.   Ever notice how she prefaces almost every comment with, "you're so right, Joe" or "I completely agree, Joe."   She's British, employed by the BBC and speaks with a lovely accent.  Yet today, she found it necessary to agree with Joe that the kids at Berkeley are quite sad snowflakes if they can't abide the rabid far right on their campuses.  If i were on UK TV, I would be a little more careful of passing blanket judgment on English college kids.

It does give us an insight into how some of these panelists are prepped and presented on the show though, right?  "Oh don't worry Noah!  No need to actually READ the pieces!  Just pretend, and read our questions."  Geez.

And Princeton Prof also made an ass of himself, too.   Please don't tell me that it's too early and you need coffee in order to make sense!  Really? Willing to bet his TAs at Princeton do all his heavy lifting.  What a disappointment to me.

Don't quote me on this but Chris's reference to his size could have been in relation to John Berman saying something about being 165 pounds of solid steel or something along those lines when he was reporting during the hurricane . . . it was a funny remark during a very stressful time (I am a huge fan of both Chris and John).  I saw the governor this morning and it looks like he too belongs to the "gun show" . . . :)

As for Katty, I can't say I am a huge fan but for me she is one of their seat fillers.  There are a few regular guests I look forward to but she isn't one of them.

Also, Mika has been active on her Twitter and Instagram accounts in terms of Know Your Value so maybe with MJ 10 year anniversary show next week they may reveal her next steps for that effort.  There is a hilarious Instagram photo of her posing with one of her gorgeous chickens and she is wearing 4" stilettos but it's a great shot of her and I wish I looked that good . . .  :)
