Maddie now has four children

Remember when the family sat together before Maddie and Caleb got married (was ist something like a bridal shower) and they had to answer questions like "How many children will you have" and Maddie said something like "2" and Caleb was like "5 or 6"? and Maddie told him if he really wants that much children he would have to carry them?

EDIT: I just took a peek at Maddie's blog.  She has a notice on the top of the page that says, "I plan my life out a day at a time so my posting schedule can be erratic."  Again, I get it, she has four children.  She also had a podcast that she abandoned.  She and Janelle keep trying things, see if they stick, then move on when they find out it's more work than they thought it would be - even once they've gained an audience.

This!

But what really puzzles me, is their inability to learn anything from previous failures. When Maddie had "only" two, she already complained about the struggles of motherhood combined with college and/or work. And now she has 4 and yet another new business venture....

Nothing except two things:

1) Super fan stalkers  who would show up at the job and make everyone’s day miserable and 2) it would interfere with filming.

Janelle’s prior job was before they moved from Utah, which was pretty much before the first season finished airing.   There is a reason why most of the reality show families live behind gates.   They’ve had people show up at their door.

There are still a lot of remote jobs.  She has admin experience.

I'll never forget one morning at my grandmother's house when the neighbor's weenie dogs got into my grandmother's chicken coop and massacred her chickens.  It was horrible and resulted in not only the death of the chickens but also the dogs either had to be put down or rehomed.  Between foxes, coyotes, bird of prey, snakes, etc. chicken coops have to almost be Fort Knox.

As far as whether this endeavor is feasible - if you never try you will never know whether it will work or not.  I wish I had a more adventurous spirit where I was willing to take risks.

A friend on mine in No Cali had a cougar get in her coop, which had been VERY well built and defended (they had had trouble w foxes prior). It seems we ALL love chicken.

Is her Social media  monetized?

I agree that she should just get a damn job. However it seems that the "Lets go on a Reality Show" gene is related to the "Moneymaking scheme" gene and not the "Get a job" gene. See also: The real Housewives of anywhere. Sonja Morgan toaster ovens, anyone?

Well, if she does it must have mighty flexible hours.  She's always bebopping around the country or off buying land for some grandiose scheme that will never pan out.

I don't know either.  There are some jobs that all you need is a laptop and wifi.  And maybe she is project oriented vs hourly.  Hard to know.

People Magazine had an article in 12/24 that Janelle was building a house close to Maddie's house in in NC. Janelle posted in Instagram in March that their houses will be finished in the fall. So almost a year to build a house? I wonder if this is just another pipe dream or is she building it in her mind like she was picking out flowers in her mind according to Maddie.

Plausible.  There is a house going up two doors from me that's been under construction for at least six months and isn't anywhere near complete.

Where I live, it can take a year or more. Permitting takes forever and there is a shortage of both labor and supplies. Six months is actually pretty speedy.
