Are we done with "enemies from the past" after season 6? I'm really ready to let that go. I assume this is the Bratva, although I don't see how they can be unecpected considering how Oliver left things with them.

Yeah, I'm thinking that it's got to be the way they're going since there's no real past enemies to create (no flashbacks, they just did someone from his past as the Hood, etc.) other than the ones they just established, plus "his past" may just be putting it lightly since it's his show and they're trying to keep it as broad and vague as possible since they haven't even written anything yet.

In 2x03, there was a very brief shot where you could see a Temple on the island. I'm guessing that's where the final battle takes place next week.

Why is there a temple on a deserted island?  And an ARGUS prison?  I'm waiting to see the shopping mall because it seems like everything else mysteriously moves there.

MG saying that Lian Yu is "out of [Vigilante's] jurisdiction" makes me think it might be Pike, although the actor is doing very well on his own show.

I feel like Oliver looks younger in that top photo than he has in a good while.

So, Felicity, Thea, Curtis and Samantha get locked up in cells. And Dig, Rene and Dinah are either transported to the temple, break free or Oliver breaks them free. Where's Lance in all this, keeping an eye on the kid?

I laughed at that too, along with that pic of all of them just standing next to him. EK being a good head taller than him and them being in the bright daylight just makes it look ridiculous in the fun way. I wonder if MB did record some dialogue and interacts with them.

Also, I love this pic. It has Thea's typical "SMH, what are you doing?" face, so I'm wondering if she's confronting him on using bad guys to help him out.

Yeah, I think so too. Especially considering that's what the promo is about too. All I know is that I'd prefer as little Samantha and William as possible.

Give me Olicity. Give me OTA. Give me Thea and Lance. Give me the B team together because that's when they seem to work the best. Give me a valid reason for Slade helping Oliver. Give me stuff I care about.

So, what will Slade get out of this deal? Also, is MB short? I cannot remember him being as short as the body double...

Since everyone is there but William, I assume that the kid is the most important aspect in this rescue mission. 

That being said, I am dreading the cliffhanger already. I hope nothing explodes and kills people, although I'd have been ok with them being stuck on the island if Oliver hadn't flown there. Why would he see them on the boat if he flew there. (I know there is not enough room but someone has to fly the plane back, right?)

And last but not least, why can't Dinah take out more people with her scream? I mean, I get that she and BS have the exact same power but shouldn't they be able to knock her out and have Dinah scream for the win. I don't get how her supernatural abilities work properly.

Spawn actually isn't kidnapped. Chase posed as a casting agent and told William he wanted to put him in a movie, so could he please pretend like he was trapped?

Either that or he's just chilling at home but his mommy's gone so he has no idea how to take care of himself and sent out an S.O.S. to the camera in his living room.

Yeah I think that's likely to happen and I'll spend half the episode yelling "who caaaares" at the screen, LOL. Next year I suggest kidnapping a litter of puppies. Everyone loves puppies and Oliver can tell us he has always wanted a puppy but his mom said they couldn't have pets.

I was holding out hope that it was a ruse or Oliver would rescue William first and secure him with Samantha somewhere so the episode could then focus on people I actually care about. 

If we could get a solid B storyline with Diggle and Felicity Take Lian Yu, I would be fine with Oliver reenacting Lost but I don't think they will manage to jump even that low bar. It looks like the techies are not with the fighties so maybe F gets to do something interesting.

If we get stuck with the kid next season, maybe Lance can be his nanny and we never have to see him.

I hate how this show separates the fighers (Dig, Rene, Dinah) from the non-fighters (Felicity, Curtis, Samantha and Thea this season) who need to be rescued.  They did that in the crossover ep too.  It's  just being prejudiced.

Same. Especially when it looks like they're spending a lot of time with the fighters in the episode.

You know what would be smart? If Oliver brought Curtis' T-spheres and that tech he made for Dinah with him to the island. Although I don't think Oliver knows about the latter and I don't recall him picking it up in Dinah's apartment in 522.

Also, I'm getting the feeling that I won't be getting the Felicity/Chase interaction in the finale I was hoping for.

Since Chase was all about psychological fighting rather than physical, a Chase vs Felicity mind fight would be awesome. Like Felicity vs Ra's al Ghul but better.  Instead it looks like we're getting people bashing each other again in "cool" fights.  Over a kid I really don't care about.

What a waste.  Doesn't make me optimistic for next season.

Just thinking about the possible order of events, if they do rescue the caged team first, and then go to the (I guess) "fighting" team to go to the big fight (without Malcolm, so I guess he's dead by then), what are Curtis, Samantha, Thea, and Felicity doing? They can't leave the island since the people who could fly a plane are fighting. If anything, I wonder if they plan to try to find the kid while Oliver and the rest of the team go confront Chase and the others to give Thea, Felicity, and Curtis opportunity to find him. Cue being attacked, Thea fights back, Malcolm sacrifices himself, they find William while Oliver and Chase go at it. Random reaching, I know, but I can't buy Thea, Felicity, and Curtis just peacing out while everyone else is fighting.

Oliver is holding a tablet in one of the promo photos so I think your spec might be right that the non fighters might go looking for him. I'm not sure if it's likely that Chase would keep William with him though?

Expectations for this episode are very low with this choice to highlight that darn crayon-eating kid. And yes, I hate the division of fighters/non-fighters, which bored the hell out of me during the crossovers. So not excited to see the big masks/suits fight. Arrow hasn't been able to put together a good group fight in years. I think Wendy said something about Original Team Arrow playing a key role so I'm hoping this is the one time she didn't make up stuff. Felicity helping to bring down Chase would give me the confrontation I need and it would be an awesome callback to S2.

I'm hoping that at least Felicity (because Oliver is a lost cause at this point) realizes that Chase always has plans B through Z as well and they will try to outflank him.

If it's the finale and Thea, Felicity, and Curtis need something to do in the plot after being rescued, I'd think it could be likely that he's somewhere on the island separated from the others just like Curtis, Thea, and Felicity seem to be separated from the others.

You're right. TV Line didn't have the picture With Deathstroke and Evelyn, just the 2 of her in the cage.
