So, what are Malcolm's two twists? Will we be led to believe that he's been working with Ra's this whole time (Twist! One) but then BLAM Ra's and co find out he's been working with Damien Darhk/HIVE (Twist! Two)?

This would be my favorite, but I think one of his twists is going to duplicate or tie in with Tatsu's....that Oliver is faking and needs everyone's help to fight Ra's and stop the A/O virus from being released.

I think the second twist will be the one where he takes the A/O virus and reveals that he is working for Darhk or if A/O is still in play with Ra's on the season finale - maybe he reveals that he intends to become the next Ra's.

Maybe. Seems like the team does know that Oliver's faking in this ep, because I'm not sure why Diggle would tell a brainwashed Oliver that he's lost his trust and respect. He must tell him that as Oliver. But I'm not sure how much of a twist it would be given that they already pretty much showed us that Oliver is faking in the preview they released.

I guess maybe the first twist could be that Malcolm is working with Oliver on a plan, but Malcolm double-crosses them by working with Ra's or Darhk and steals the virus for him?

That trust line from who I'm going to assume is Digg is going to hurt. While this show runs through plot points at a breakneck speed, watch Oliver and Digg's relationship actually take more than one episode to be repaired. Don't ruin my BroTP, Show!

At least, Malcolm's finally going to do something. Good, bad, a little bit of both - it's about time.

* Thea’s trip to see Roy, who now goes by the name Jason and works at an auto shop, leads to a scenario that will definitely evoke excitement.

I'm assuming that this means sex.  They are making out in one of the promos, I think (I kind of stopped reading interviews and watching sneak peeks and such).

* Diggle’s got some serious anger when it comes to Oliver, and it doesn’t seem like his issues with what his friend did are going away anytime soon.

I mean, I understand, because if Oliver was faking being brainwashed, killed some people, and then kidnapped Lyla and left baby Sara alone in her crib, well, that's a shitty thing to do.  But this seems like a weak reason to cause problems with their relationship all the way into next season.

Malcolm's Position: Malcolm may actually be in a better place than anyone else when it saving Ollie from the League. (He also makes a comment about some of our group not being good actors and I bet John Barrowman had a hard time keeping a straight face when saying that line to his co-stars.)

Is he going to say this to Laurel?  If so, it's just one more thing to add to the maybe the writers really do hate KC pile.  I will laugh, but that is kind of mean for the writers to say that.

I hope y'all loaded up on Prozac for tonight.  (I won't be watching.)

Against my better judgement, I think I might watch (I may change my mind depending on the craptastic clips and spoilers that come out).  But I'm definitely doing it in a way that won't contribute to ratings.

So, Ray definitely signs the company (How would that even be possible - it has more branches than just that in Starling City, yeah?) or at least that division over to Felicity. But...why?

"Thank you for releasing me from my pain," is Maseo, yeah?

Also, I can't believe Diggle is so unhinged by Oliver kidnapping Lyla that he nearly kills someone. I'm sorry, but this falling out is overdramatic as hell.

And:

11. The ending is SHOCKING. Yes, all caps. Tonight’s episode felt like a march up to next week’s sure-to-be-bonkers season three finale, but that meant leaving some big dangling threads hanging as great cliffhangers do. If you’re a fan of Team Arrow, the ending - it's definitely a cliffhanger - is unexpected and leaves you asking, "What the heck?!" As for a hint on the episode’s final moment, think cloudy.

Does someone on Team Arrow "die"? IF THIS IS WHAT EBR WAS TALKING ABOUT REGARDING SACRIFICE, NO

Even though I know if it's Felicity she won't actually die, die

I think Malcolm's been doing something all season, but we haven't been privy to it.  They've almost gone out of their way to keep him present, but in the shadows at the same time.  I fully expect that in one of these last two episodes, we're going to get a "Oh, BTW, here's what's Malcolm's *really* been doing all season" exposition, likely shoehorned in between further propping Ray's "awesomeness" and/or a flailing fight scene with Buckles. *sigh*

In regards to this topic, @AmellDaily asks, "was Ras successfully able to brainwash Oliver or Oliver is faking it the whole time?" That's certainly a looming question, isn't it? You get a very clear answer as to what Oliver's doing in tonight's episode, but you may be scratching your head by the end of it.

I may be left scratching my head?  Wonderful.  Sounds about right.

And oh, by the way, Ra’s has another not-so-tiny request of Nyssa and Oliver to fully consummate their planned partnership.

This has the potential to come off badly and enrage some people.  Oh man, I hope they tread carefully here.

@Olicityibelieve asks, “could you please use 3 words to describe olicity in 3x22?” Gut-wrenching, longing and heartbreaking.

This is the only thing I have some investment in anymore.  I guess I'm not getting anything remotely positive until the season finale.  Maybe.

The Atom flies through a plane. Enough said.

Well that sounds just awful and cheesy.  Maybe I'll watch JUST for this.

Not everyone makes it out alive. It wouldn't be an episode of Arrow without some bloodshed. The episode title, "This Is Your Sword," is a good indicator as to how one of the characters takes their last breath.

Wish it would be Laurel, but I know that is too good to be true.

Maybe she dies like Oliver "died" in The Climb and the reported porsche/sunset scenes were her visions of her and Oliver while "dying". Gah. This show. You only get the good stuff before someone dies (or "dies") and/or is giving up their life because it's Wednesday...or something.

So, the cliffhanger is the plane, I presume. I'm still trying to figure out when Oliver has time to jaunt on over to Central City. Is there a possibility it's alternate reality Oliver? I would be interested in alternate reality Oliver. I read enough fanfic about him after all.

Maseo is totally going to die in the present. "Thank you for releasing me from my pain" is him to whoever kills him or him to Oliver right before he goes and dies for Oliver and Tatsu.  Tatsu is the one who loses everything.

The Oliver/Diggle stuff is making no sense.  Lyla's kidnapping just wasn't enough.  I knew the show was going to make this lame because I knew they wouldn't go far enough (killing Lyla) to make it believable because taking it that far would be something they couldn't come back from.  So again, we are going to end up with something that doesn't make sense character-wise.  Ugh.

Oh and I knew Palmar was signing the company back over to someone this season, I find it funny that so many people correctly called it being Felicity and will likely be right that the Queen Inc. in the Flash newspaper is her renaming the company with her married name.

ETA: Regarding Oliver going to CC - didn't we get a spoiler that Barry was going to help out Team Arrow in the finale?  So maybe we actually make a lot of progress in this episode - Oliver is outed as faking it, Malcolm's grander plan is revealed, and Ra's is just left god-smacked that all of these people have been playing him for a fool and the cliff-hanger allows time for Team Arrow to race back to SC while Oliver stops to see Barry and ask for his help (but first he has to help Barry defeat Reverse Flash).

So when the finale picks back up, Team Arrow is trying to stop a threat from Ras (presumably) or Malcolm (maybe) and Oliver and Barry arrive just in time to save the day with somehow the plane scene with Oliver, Nyssa, and Ras coming as the finale battle where hopefully Ras dies. Then we get our happy go lucky ending with an after thought scene that reveals Darhk/HIVE as the threat for season four.

I haven't read the quotes because that just seems pointless but I've skimmed everything else and my thoughts are basically:

I feel like Maseo is gonna die. Partly because Katana's husband dies in the comics but also because I can see them making it as heartbreaking as possible that Tatsu loses her husband in present day and her child in the flashbacks.

It doesn't bother me that Tatsu tells Felicity she should fight for him. Felicity already fought for Oliver with her ridiculous drugging plan. She tried. That was her last-ditch effort. To be honest, I want Oliver to fight for himself. He always gives up and I'm tired of it.

I don't know how I feel about the Diggle/Oliver conflict. I know Oliver crossed a line by putting his family in danger but I kind of feel like Diggle would understand, in a strange sort of way. Not to mention that no one got hurt. I want to see how it plays out but right now it feels a little contrived for the sake of drama. Wait and see I guess.

Malcolm better be working a long con because it's the only thing I will accept in this mess of a season.

Ra's wanting the marriage consummated doesn't surprise me - what's the point if they don't have a kid? Glad that Tiffany Vogt's tweets indicate it never happens. The tacky a-holes running this show are like bulls in a china shop with delicate story lines.

Yeah, like somehow it's okay to do this because "It's all good! It doesn't happen!". It's just gross - on many levels. So many complain about how this show panders to the shippers, but IMO, this forcing Nyssa to marry Oliver and then also consummate the marriage when she's a lesbian and he's in love with another woman, feels a bit like a possible kneejerk reaction to that criticism. Times like this, it really feels like the show is run by the 13-year-old comics fanboys who salivate over the female characters dressed as hookers and built like porn stars and get off on all the "power" Ra's wields - he can make anyone do anything. Yeah, even his lesbian daughter marry a dude and give him heirs. Gag.

But wait..it doesn't actually happen, so it's cool.  Yeah...not exactly.

I don't mind the premise of people fighting for Oliver. But I wonder at what point Oliver fighting for himself will stick (if ever).

Those ET Online spoilers couldn't be more obvious. They pretty much give most of the episode away.

Maseo is for sure a dead man.

Roy and Thea are going to be gettin' it on while everything's going down in Nanda Parbat.

Felicity is taking over Palmer Technologies...which is FANTASTIC because she A) deserves it and B) it gets Ray off my TV screen.

I'm not going to speculate as to what will happen with the wedding/marriage because at this point, I JUST. DON'T. CARE.

As an easter egg, probably. It won't go anywhere.

I hope you're right and that's all it amounts to.

I feel like if that comes to pass it's more than an easter egg IMO. Red has been Roy's standard color. So far Roy has been Red Arrow (essentially) and Arsenal. He wears red hoodies all the time. Why not just make him The Red Hood too?  I think there is reasonable basis to have him morph into the bitter, resentful Jason Todd. He took the fall for Arrow and yes it was voluntary but I could see that devolving into anger and resentment especially when he finds out that Ra's killed Thea and Oliver resurrected Thea in a way that makes her crazypants!Thea. He could take the vengeance path with more drastic measures.

Yeah, the only good part is Felicity getting some control of the company, at least I'm assuming that's what it means. One of the spoilers says paperwork is signed and could change someone's life forever. Does that mean she starts Queen's Inc?! Because she totally should. And it lines up with The Flash newspaper thing and the Wayne Tech merger. Only Felicity would merge with a tech company.

I'm really not sure why Ray would sign his company over to Felicity, unless he wants to put some kind of succession plan into place in case something happens to him? Honestly, I don't understand why he'd outright sign his company over to her, unless that division of Palmer Tech is breaking off from the rest of it and he wants her to run it or...something, in which case...why would he just give it to her?

As for a hint on the episode’s final moment, think cloudy.

Is this the Oliver/Nyssa/Ra's scene on the plane?  Flying into clouds?

I guess it's too much to hope that Ra's is the one dead.  Probably not Laurel either. That leaves Maseo, Tatsu, Malcolm and Nyssa in the present, Akio in the past.

I'm dreading this episode. It feels like it's going to be all Action! Action! Action! and little character sense.  At least I'll get to see Ray signing papers to have Felicity run part of his company, I hope, before he goes off to his spin-off.  It will give her something to do next season, and if her father is involved in nefarious tech things, it gives Felicity a good storyline next season.

Ugh on ras wanting partnership consummated.

That's so Guggie.  Write something that grosses people out and then top it.

This season is like a book I want to skip to the back of and see how it turns out before I commit to reading it.  In spite of everything they have thrown at us this season, the only thing I care about even now is the Oliver/Diggle/Felicity relationships.  Thea has improved, I miss Roy, and everyone else can just go away now.

If Felicity "dies" it won't last.  No way the CW would allow that...unless she wanted to leave, and her contract was up, and I think we would have heard about that.

I am 100% fine with Maseo dying.  He's been pretty evil in present times.

If Malcolm has been working for Ra's or Darhk, I'd prefer Darhk.  I feel like that would make more sense.  Very glad Oliver was apparently faking brainwashing.  So he's just dumb and defeatist not also weak-willed.

Yessss, I want the laughing in his face to happen. That would be the absolute best. Felicity deserves a good, long, rueful laugh after her Year of Living Tearfully.

I'm just so disgusted by the forced marriage. I know it's just a dumb TV show (which I inexplicably keep watching, perhaps because I like complaining?) but when there are still actual forced marriages and horrible abuse happening in the world and those people don't have any escape, it just turns me off. I know, I know, I'm taking it too seriously but I do not understand how in the world we ended up with a season as nonsensical, offensive and OOC as we've had.

I don't think you're overreacting at all.  It's entirely disgusting.  Forced marriage IS disgusting, plus Nyssa is a lesbian.  They seriously behave as though she's bi, but there's zero in-show evidence to support that.  It is exactly like thinking it's NBD for a straight man being forced to have full sex with another man.  Everything Ra's does and says is on the writers, and there's absolutely no reason for them to have chosen this grotesque storyline.  We kind of caught on that Ra's was evil when he threatened to kill 50 people/day, killed the hero of the show, had more SC citizens killed, more or less killed the little sister of the hero of the show, brainwashed/tortured the hero of the show, and then ordered an entire US city destroyed.  There was no need to make him a homophobe, too.

I actually don't even understand the whole point of this "marriage."  First of all, it's not even a marriage, it's a "ceremony."  And you don't have to be "married" to have kids, so why exactly does Oliver need to marry Nyssa?  And why does Oliver need an heir?  Because as we've seen, your heir does not necessarily inherit the title of Ra's...the magical prophesying sword chooses the next Ra's when it doesn't kill him/her.  And even if you need an heir, why can't your spouse be a person of your choosing?  Oh yeah, because Ra's is evil.  This is all so stupid.

That sounds like the O/N wedding is actually completed, unless the CW is playing fast and loose with its promo language.

Well, they've got to pimp Ray as a super nice guy before he goes to his spin-off. That's one of the reasons why he was the one to break-up with Felicity and not vice versa.

And I don't think he'd just hand over the company but maybe control of it? Maybe she'll be in control of this specific branch? Or maybe he gives her shares. Or maybe I don't know what the hell I'm talking about because I know nothing about business tbh. Lol.

So much this.

Ras' lack of motivation/clear direction this season has completely taken its toll. It makes zero sense.  The stupid would burn, except I think we've all become immune.

If Ras' reign in 100+ years, why worry about a heir now? Presumably Ras doesn't use the LP to keep his family young?  If his reign is a century or more, shouldn't he chill on having a heir for at least a few score?   And if BLOOD is so important to Ras why the whole prophecy anyway.

Clearly not meant for critical thinking.

They're spending a lot of money on promoting something the audience doesn't want to see. They would be better off promoting if Team Arrow can get Oliver back.

Karl Yune's tweet makes me hopeful Maseo will survive.  Or he'll die as Maseo and not Sarab.

Well if the LP isn't working as well, thoughts of death and a legacy would come into play. Ra's wants a daughter just like him. Nyssa's emotions for Sara and over her death prove a weakness. A Ra's has to do what is deem necessary and emotions get in the way. Ra's wants Nyssa to prove she will do everything for the LOA. If that's get married, have a child and help rule the LOA with Oliver so be it. There is no place for emotions.

I get all that. It's just Oliver who isn't a worthy candidate. I guess that is why they inserted the prophecy to give Ra's a reason to choose Oliver.

And Maseo has to be the one to die. I nean Unless he kills Tatsu in the present. we will watch him morn Aiko as Maseo and shiw no act of compassion in killing Tatsu in the present. Both Maseo and Tatsu loose everything in that scenario. Though from the quotes it seems Oliver will kill Maseo.

I was pretty certain Barry would be, I feel like that was already out there and made the most sense if Oliver is in 1X22. It's also why I'm thinking a time correction is still in play.

“We’ve always said the season is about identity, and Oliver trying to decide between being the Arrow and being Oliver Queen,”

Sure that's why they contrived an entire bullshit storyilne wherein he (and we) could avoid making that decision by embracing a THIRD identity Al Sa-him. JFC on a hockey stick.
