It's referring a collector statue that reimagines some of the dc female characters. Black Canary appears as a torch singer.

I actually unsubscribed from the 2.5 comics over a month ago because I knew Oliver and Felicity's story was over and I didn't see anything happening with Diggle and I guess I was right? So it's just O/L now? Glad I stopped paying for that. Ha!

I unsubscribed as well. Not into spending money on stuff I'm not interested in.

I don't know about the sales, but someone did comment that they checked the sales on the first Laurel-Heavy and apparently it went down pretty fast. Goes somethings just don't sell well.

Marc bringing out the big guns.

Anyone know how issues are left for Arrow Season 2.5? Looking at those panels with Felicity and Oliver I'm thinking they may be prepping for his presentation before the QC board. So that would put it right before Arrow 301. Didn't Marc say the show begins 5 minutes after the comics ends?

I think it's supposed to be 24 issues?

MG pulling out the Olicity again to promote. Shocking. Much surprise.

And oooh, confirmation that Nyssa and Sara were together again post S2. I mean, I kind of guessed but you can never be certain with these things. I hope even more now that Nyssa gets to see Sara on LoT, although I'm guessing we'll see more of that on Arrow. Eh. I can see more and more of the first half of the season spent on setting up LoT and I don't like it.

Does anyone else think that it looks like Sara and Nyssa got to use the same room as Oliver and Felicity?

Seriously, Malcolm, get on that.  Think of the boost to revenue if they opened up their rooms of romance up to the public.  Just a quaint boutique inn, nothing too ostentatious.

<designer problems> I really wanna meet whoever photoshopped those superhero club posters just to ask them if they downloaded Photoshop color gradients from Livejournal fandom circa 2005. Because seriously. What's with those color gradients. </designer problems>

Who is the dark-haired girl?

Emiko, Ollie's half sister from Jeff Lemire's run.  This new guy has basically gone back to Lemire's original characters of Emiko and Fyff (I think he's original, not sure) and dumped all non-Lemire characters, Naomi, Diggle, Mia and Felicity

Was that the LL storyline? You can see the decline. No wonder they switched back.

Nope. The May print issue covers the 2 digital issues with Team Arrow + Helena saving Felicity.

Print numbers for comics that are released in digital form first are somewhat of a murky issue, because the folks actively interested already bought them in digital form.

MG's latest Arrow 2.5 and 3.5 info at  http://marcguggenheim.tumblr.com/...

toss-my-salad-romaine asked:
But anywayyyyy, is there going to be an Arrow season 3.5 comic this year? Or have you got no official confirmation yet?

We’re still trying to finish 2.5.  But I have ideas…

jimredding asked:
Hey Marc, first of all, just wanted to say that DCTV is all my childhood dreams come true. So thanks! Second, I was wondering if you knew what the future of the Arrow comics would be in terms of collected editions. I'd love to go and buy the entirety of Season 2.5 as a whole! (Or at least vols. 1 and 2.) Thanks again!

We’ll be collecting 2.5 in a single massive volume.  I’m looking forward to it.

hojasdeoctubre asked:
Just wanted to say that I am totally loving the season 2.5 but please, no more google translate for Spanish (I had to read the English translation to know what Malcolm said and I am Spanish). But great job. Can't wait for season 4.

You found me out!

root-and-shaw asked:
do you like nyssa and sara's relationship? because a lot of people here love them, and we don't want it to end. hope we will see more of them in Arrow season 4 and maybe Legends Of Tomorrow.

Please check out Chapter 23 of Arrow Season 2.5:

MG's latest Vixen info at  http://marcguggenheim.tumblr.com/...

k-bogdanow asked:
Any updates about Vixen?

No – but only because that’s out of my control.  But I wish I could tell you stuff.

novemberssummer asked:
Quick question about Vixen: I saw that James Tucker listed himself as a producer for the web series. Is he also the director as well?

I don’t know.  Sorry.

mgmaz asked:
Confused by Vixen TVGuide article. Is the total series 30 minutes cut into 6 parts. Or is it six 30 minute episodes.

6 30-minute episodes – are you trying to kill me with the alternative? ;)

stilettoroyalty asked:
I'm so happy with Megalyn Echikunwoka voicing Vixen. But I also think it's telling that her physical features fit the Vixen character. Having said that, what are my chances of getting her on Arrow in the flesh in S4? I have an uncontrollable desire to have Megalyn Echikunwoka and Ciara Renée in scenes with David Ramsey. These are the type of scenes Arrow is severely lacking that are indicative of my representation in the superhero TV verse. Let's fix this mindset in season 4.

We have to launch Vixen as an animated series first.  Then we can talk about Megalyn joining Arrow in “live action.”  :)

fivecentsless asked:
Will there be a "Team Vixen"?

Over time, yes.

I haven't read the latest 2.5 yet but I think I will buy it based solely on the panel of Felicity telling Oliver he may be too dumb to get the company back. Lol

Haha, it was pretty good. About half of it is the conversation that panel is a part of.

IMO the comics are really making me excited about Oliver/Felicity in season 4. It's sort of exactly what I wanted regarding their relationship because there's a lot of banter, it's fun, but also Felicity constantly gives Oliver reality checks when he needs them. Although I do hope in S4 we can see what Oliver does for Felicity and see him comfort her a little more because her dad is in the picture in s4.

S3 didn't break that bond for me. So I'm looking forward to their new dynamic as a couple.

Totally agree with all of this, i'm also expecting to see Oliver do for Felicity what she's been doing for him all along, support her regarding whatever is coming along with her father and HIVE.

Really liked #23,Felicity hero speech to Oliver is really good work from MG

I liked her speech, except that it's the same one she gave him in 3x20 and 3x23. Which means she's been telling him the same thing since last summer and it still took him months before the message got through to him. Oliver's such a thick-headed dummy.

I do think it's cute that they apparently had study sessions at Felicity's place.

Well, at least she told him as much here, haha.

I don't mind the speeches so much because IMO Oliver thinks he's such a pile of shit that I do believe he'd have to hear positive things about himself several times for it to really sink in. It is getting excessive now though.

I'm going to need Felicity to have a Buffy moment next season "Have you heard my speeches?!"

Or she can make him a little q-card to pull out in case of doubt. lol

That being said, I wouldn't be against Oliver giving her his version of a motivational speech. We got a glimpse of supportive Oliver in 3.05, I would like to see more of that (to Felicity and Diggle).

Felicity gives so many pep talks to stubborn superheroes she should just make daily affirmation videos, a la Stewart Smalley. "You're good enough, you're strong enough, and doggone it, people like you."

I think this is a by-product of writing the comics after the scripts for the show have aired, but still setting the events during the hiatus. I doubt that if the writing sequence was more linear we would be having a repeating of speeches and events. IMO, I would prefer for the comics to either not reference any particular time line or to be more sequential/linear with the TV's timeline. Its not interesting to me to have the comics back track and cover events that have already happened, when we already know the outcome of the season finale. I think it just lends itself to repetition or copying some ideas from s3 if they are stuck. They should be releasing 3.5 now, not 2.5.

I agree. I looked forward to Arrow 2.5 because I thought it was something to feed my addiction between seasons over the long summer. I was so disappointed when I realized that although its events took place over last summer, its publication schedule coincided with and overlapped the current TV season.

I think people would be more excited about a comic that actually bridged seasons when there aren't new episodes.
