Hey a question for anyone that might remember.  I was trying to track down a clip or an interview that I think SA gave after the show killed Laurel that revealed he'd told EBR pretty much right away that she was safe from the grave.  Or maybe it was a comment from EBR?   It was controversial at the time since originally the company line was no one knew they were safe except SA and GG.

I believe that was from EBR's panel or something from COH2, so not sure if there was a direct transcript/clip or not

At COH2 Birmingham 2016 EBR said in her lounge on Saturday that she was told at the start of the season the only people they weren't killing off were Stephen, Grant and herself.

I've always wondered, why is Grant on that list? Unless, TPTB means ever ever and not just Season 4?

I was under the impression that it was simply because Grant was also in the scene in 401 and it's more of a "the EPs have ideas on who they want to kill/can get away with killing/can go and kill if other ideas don't work out, but it is definitely not Felicity," but I did wonder if it meant for the whole Arrowverse length. @Soulfire?

Thanks, @Soulfire. It's just weird because I don't think it ever occurred to anyone really that Grant would have been in danger, given he's the lead of another show, LOL!

As far as I recall, him and SA being the only ones safe was the official line and that was simply because they were the only two shown in the flash forward. If for some reason Cisco had come over instead, it would have been, Everyone aside from Oliver and Cisco could be in the grave.

Thanks you guys!

It's kind of stupid to care but there is this guy elsewhere that keeps claiming that Arrow was absolutely planning to kill Felicity but swerved last minute to Laurel instead and it just bugs me knowing how wrong that is.  And I want to help him become...enlightened.

Bamford is back at work..

Hint perhaps about the big bad?

I was looking for posts about EBR confirming she'd found out about who was in the grave early on (Still searching) and came across this on page 421 from before season five.

It seems Bamford DID actually give a big clue about the Big Bad.  Now I need to track down what he exactly tweeted this year when he came back to work.

Might want to also share the definition of "red herring."

I think he tweeted something about it being explosive (or at least I remember him saying something like that once they started filming, but now I'm curious too).

I've seen fans on Twitter insist that. IMO, it's just that they can't wrap their tiny little heads around the fact Felicity is that important to the Arrow show, because she's a "nobody" in the comics and she was "only a guest star." And that's why they keep coming up with these vile and offensive reasons as to why EBR became the show's leading lady and why the show is not killing her despite their vehement appeals. They refuse to see or believe that the show dropped LL as love interest because SHE DID NOT WORK. And that the pullback happened way before any viewer saw Felicity.

I don't think you're gonna get this person enlightened @BkWurm1, but good luck! :)

Well if you believe CG they -the producers- wanted to get rid of Katie/Lauriver after the pilot but were over ruled by the network. I believe he tweeted about that once. And that's was definitely before they conceived the character Felicity. Plus they writers were trying to fist Oliver onto Helena and McKenna to see if they worked before ultimately committing to Felicity.

Oh this guy will never be convinced but I can't help "helping" anyway, lol.  His current belief is that Felicity is dying in the season opener and that EBR has either only filmed flashbacks or hallucinations, is hanging out on the set to throw the paparazzi off the scent and that any comments about Olicity or her company are lies to further trick everyone.

I was watching 7th Heaven (lol) and came to the episodes with KC. My God if you don't believe the rumors about her getting work because of the network this should tell you. 7th Heaven was on when it was still the WB. This girl has too many network executives on her side for being such an abysmal "actress."

To be fair, Seventh Heaven was one of those shows that just wouldn't end.  WAAAAAY too many actors have it on their resume.  Lol.

I was telling a friend about EBR's sneakers popping up in a shot and she showed me this promotional still from The Flash where you can see Felicity's flipflops. I don't think this take showed up in the actual episode because they shot her from the waist up in that scene in STAR Labs, but it's still funny and cute and shows she really tries to get out of those heels when possible.

While what CG said corresponds with what we've seen in the way they've handled Laurel (removed as LI, diminished role, diminished screen time, etc.) I need somebody else to actually say this. How long after a show goes off the air would an E! True Hollywood story come out? ;)

  • Love 4

Probably just giving him a hard time. On the friend's status, his response was "42 but who's counting."

I think that's one of the things that is odd about celebrities and social media. Sometimes what they say is in the context of a friendship fans know little to nothing about. That's what this seems like to me.

I wondered that too but then I'd have expected a Happy Birthday or a Guess who's 41 today!

Yeah, inside joke makes sense of it not making sense.  ;D

never saw the last clip before. I'm assuming they were being awkward on purpose to make or have a little fun with the fact they got nominated for best chemistry haha.

Yeah, very much on purpose, lol.  I do remember when they filmed it.  I love SA being fake annoyed but holding back a grin and the snort that he doesn't hold in.   I also can't help wonder about some the meta stuff as pertains to other people on the show.

I figured they must be working out together since the trainer is wearing the same shirt.

If my sexy husband was doing love scenes with someone, I'd want to be good friends with her.

Haha especially if combined with the way Stephen and Emily act around each other in public on occasion.
