Coop33 March 13, 2016 Share March 13, 2016 (edited) I just got home from the first day of HVFF and the Nocking Point party. Most of the the info from the panels has been posted already, but I can share some personal anecdotes. I got to talk to both Echo and Caity for a bit during the day, and they were both very kind and down to earth. Caity is super excited for another season of Legends. Echo and I mostly talked about Snapchat which resulted in maybe the most disturbing face swap ever. I got a picture with Stephen and David together, and even though the process is very quick, they both took the few seconds they had to say a friendly hello, ask how you were, and give a sincere thank you. Now, the Nocking Point party was awesome. David, Paul, Colin, Echo, Neal, Robbie, and obviously Stephen we're in attendance. David left after an hour our so, but everyone else stayed through most of it. I only talked to Paul for a significant amount of time. My friend and I asked him about his charity work and he just lit up. He's obviously very passionate about it. He was really sweet and oh man, that accent. The main event was a mash up of Why Don't We Do It in the Road (with much dirtier lyrics) and Come Together. It was around a 20 minute jam session, led by Brother Sal's band with Stephen and Colin on vocals, Neal on the harmonica, Neal's wife dancing on the piano, and Paul as the photographer. It was nuts. Neal did a stage dive. I was right in the front, so I was part of the group that caught him. My hands were in places I never could have imagined. Stephen can really sing, and Neal is a beast on the harmonica. It was a lot of fun. So if there seems to be a disproportionate amount of tweets about Felicity or Olicity, that might be the reason. When we watch the full panels, there may be a lot of other things that are said about other people and other stuff. That's what I meant. From the few short video clips I've seen, I don't think anyone on the panels is anything but sincere (other than the times when they are clearly joking around). Though I'm guessing this bit is also to appease some pissed off fans who'd tweeted HVCC about the Arrow fan panel last night that, from reports, basically dissed Olicity and Felicity. I don't think they're annoyed people are asking about Olicity/Felicity. The number of Olicity/Felicity questions might explain why there are more responses that included her. But I'm also theorizing that they, specifically SA, heard about complaints to HVCC organizers that a fan panel scheduled last night was less than respectful to the pairing and to Felicity. I can see this being a passive-aggressive way of responding to the people dissing Olicity/Felicity, NOT the people who complained. And like I mentioned above, DR and SA have a pretty good record of bringing up Felicity/Emily at cons A LOT. What was this? I hadn't heard anything about this.
