  1. Oh, we're getting a Nyssa & Sara reunion of some sort? Didn't the showrunner or exec producers say early in the season that wouldn't happen? Hmm... I guess I'll wait to see if this reunion is for real...
  2. I was not enamoured with this episode. I watched it for Sara and Snart, but the Vandal Savage story is dragging this show down. :( I couldn't see them killing a kid so that took the suspense of it as well. I also like Rory now more than I thought I would. I actually didn't think I'd like Snart or Mick when they were first announced. Finally, this may be unpopular, but I kinda miss vigilante and darker Sara. Not that I want her character to suffer more, she's suffered enough. Perhaps because I feel this show can border on comical even when it's trying to be serious. I want her struggles to feel "real"... and that's harder when the premises can feel silly.
  3. I feel for the Laurel fans. I was not a Laurel fan, but this was a sh*tty way to go out. Who the "love of her life" was has no bearing, as her life was cut short at a (relatively) young age. She just hadn't had the chance to meet the love of her life yet. That was so unnecessary for them to make her say that. Plus he didn't even say "I love you" (back) like the rest of the team did. Ollie 1.0 in no way deserved Laurel, that felt like rubbing salt in the wound. I think my head canon will say Laurel knocked her head after getting stabbed and that's why she was saying that ridiculousness about Ollie being the love of her life...
  4. Oh boy. As much as I love Sara and she will always be, to me, the original Black Canary... a comment like that could rile up some Laurel-Black Canary fans... Oh boy, that was a spoiler CR probably didn't mean to give away... Yeah, I think that Laurel will get a hero's send-off. Even though, and perhaps in part because, they did Sara's so poorly. Sara looked awesome in the Black Canary suit! She was the perfect Black Canary. But to me, it's not going to feel "right" to me for her character to do the same thing that Laurel's character did - i.e. take on her sister's persona. I dunno. It does seem like "rubbing salt" in a wound for Laurel fans. As much as I don't like KC's Black Canary, to me, it would feel like what they did to CL's Canary, when she was killed so that KC could take up the mantle. Anyway, black looks good on CL and her character. I kinda like "dark" Sara, both in costume and how she's tortured and not a traditional hero. She looked good in black in that "escape from a Russian prison" episode, and I'm looking forward to seeing her in the traditional, dark League of Assassins garb in the next episode of LoT,
  5. I'm out. I initially was going to keep watching after Lexa died. Then I found out about how the showrunner baited the LGBT fanbase, and I witnessed how he reacted to the fall-out. Don't want to support someone like that. Or help send a message that that type of behaviour is okay, as long as he can continue to pull in the viewership (i.e. end justifies the means). If he's replaced, I'll give it another go.
  6. Oh, I like this. Well said. I just peaked at his twitter account. He's doubling down on Coca-Cola with pee being the awesome-est thing evar!
  7. Euh... not my favourite episode. Although it made me grateful I'm living in the 21st century and not in 1958. Ray and Kendra were okay. They are kind of sweet. Of course Sara was awesome as usual - kickass, and not just as a fighter. :) Her and Stein play off each other well. I liked the pairing of the teenage girl and Jax. Yeah, the ugly vampire-bird mutated creatures were pretty yuck. Kinda sucks Jax was turned into one, albeit temporarily. I'm kind of glad LoT isn't as dark as Arrow, but these chasing-after-Vandal episodes are starting to feel somewhat "comical"... and not in a good way. :(
  8. I only recently started watching the 100, and was just a casual viewer, but 3x07 broke my heart. I was surprised that I physically felt heartache after watching a fictional character I hardly knew die! Two things came to mind: - Clarke and Lexa had something magical. The chemistry, the way their characters were written, the acting skills of both actors. - It (the characters individually and the love they started to share) could have become epic, and helped propel the show to new heights, in terms of critical acclaim and viewers. Now Jason Rothenburg no longer has that opportunity, he took that away from himself. Not knowing anything about what was going on in social media regarding "Clexa" or even who Jason Rothenburg was, I initially had hope that they would do right by these characters and their stories, moving forward, even though Lexa died. THEN after the episode, I found out about how he purposely gave the LGTB community false hope and even baited them ("Come see us shoot in Vancouver the season finale [showing Clarke and Lexa together]!"). Then I thought to myself, "Why would I trust his guy??" Not worth following his show... p.s. I was impressed by the way the writer of the episode, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, reacted to the anger/hurt. I would have given him the benefit of the doubt.
  9. I remember an interview with KC, where she said she asked her stunt double to mimic more Sara/Canary's movements, because they're sisters and so they're supposed to have some shared movements. I thought to myself, "What? Why do you want your stunt double to move like Sara? Is it because you want it to look like you move like Sara?" If I'm not mistaken, the stunt double for KC is the same one they used for CL. I understand stunt doubles try to mimic the actors they're doubling for.
  10. Now, I believe it. I am genuinely surprised. I was starting to warm up to Laurel (I actually liked her) before they unceremoniously killed Sara so that KC/Laurel Lance could the Black Canary. I thought that was crap, and thought maybe it's because they had to make KC the Black Canary as per some contract they couldn't get out of, or pressure from higher powers above. Though I did find they've tried hard to make KC's Black Canary work (Season 3, Season 4). Maybe it was after a lot of effort that the powers above acquiesced that it wasn't working and said "okay"... I think they will give her that. They got (deserved) backlash for having Sara killed the way they did (falling on a dumpster), I think that's one of the reasons they won't do that again. Mainly though, I think it's "Because Comics". She's Arrow's official "Black Canary". It's big. So a death befitting a hero's death seems the most plausible to me.
  11. She did say it's not real, so it must be for the show. She looks good with that cut though.
  12. I'm really liking this show. This episode was strong. Vandal Savage unfortunately is not scary nor interesting to me as a villain, but other strong characters and actors are making up for it - Sara, Snart, Stein are my favourites. I'm glad they're being written the way they are. This series is pulling me in because I'm starting to care about the characters and about the team. I like how every member has something to contribute.
