KC can have any opinion she wants, it doesn't mean we can't criticize it if we want to *shrugs* In regards to the love interest aspect of the question: I'm just disappointed that, THAT is her opinion. I would've hoped she had more respect for Laurel and what she deserves. I may not like her, but if Felicity were in that situation, I'd be upset if EBR thought the same thing. About Laurel's relationship with Felicity: It's a nice thought that Felicity inspires Laurel. I just wish that anything she said about their relationship was backed up by the show. Nothing wrong with that. Just like how I side eye EBR for making that comment about how Felicity/Laurel think similarly emotionally when it's simply not true. kismet February 3, 2016 Share February 3, 2016 I can see how he might be disappointed that the fatherhood storyline seems to be blowing up. But while he likes Olicity, he's an actor and Olicity on the skids gives him much more meaty stuff to work with. So unless Oliver becomes a total idiot again, I think he might be looking forward to what's coming up. We'll have to agree to disagree, unless one of us can nail down SA for an actual answer. But we have all experienced how these writers write romantic angst and relationships on the skids. It's not meaty. It's bland. redundant & tropey. There are many other shows that make relationship on the skids as meaty material, ARROW is not one of those shows. Plus after 4 seasons of the same OQ messes up his relationships and loses the girl, puppy eyes & then by the final ep the writers simply put them back together - I think that he might be getting bored of it all. 4 Link to comment

Wash, rinse, repeat. This is the first season where that hasn't been the arc of the overall season but it's still early days. kismet February 3, 2016 Share February 3, 2016 What did he do BTS at PakeyFest? Don't know if he actually did anything. He was refusing to go and then agreed to go. The episodes written after that seemed to coincide with a thawing between O/F and I feel like RP's story shrunk. It might have all have been a coincidence. But there is part of me that thinks that he might have thrown some weight around and perhaps influenced some of the writers choices. SA may be many things. However, I think he has really good insight into OQ. The writers would benefit to listen to his ideas and not manipulate them for their own angsty purposes. He may have little to no power, but I think if it is possible that he might be able to wield it for the better of his character and the show, I could do with less interviews. 4 Link to comment

And I think it's pretty obvious now that he wasn't that pleased with s3 tbh. Or maybe just certain things that happened in s3. I suppose we'll never know. Link to comment

The EPs have nothing to do with Paley, that's scheduled and mandated by the WB. If he said that to the writers, all they had to do was say "sure, Steve", and then let the WB deal with him. It's almost certain that at the time of the PaleyFest panel, the rest of the season had already been plotted and broken. 321 was definitely written. 322 was most likely in revision, and they might have still be writing 323, but decisions had already been made. 9 Link to comment
