i have no idea why CL was at SDCC 2014 since they had already killed Sara off in 301. Unless it was to throw people off the scent? Although, that seems extreme since every other panelist present was a series regular and CL wasn't. No one would really bat an eye at her exclusion. Or perhaps they really were planning to bring CL/Sara back in S3 or to be part of ATOM's spin-off (I'm utterly convinced LoT only came about after CW passed on ATOM)?

I wasn't expecting CL to be there last year. Because Sara left and wasn't a regular. Maybe DC wanted her there, Geoff Johns seems to have liked her character.

I'm really impressed that he actually hit one. Even a batting practice homer is a pretty big thing for someone that doesn't play baseball.

In his last FB chat, SA said his mother messaged him that one of the Toronto all-news stations (City24, the one that runs in all the hospital and car repair and other waiting rooms) had it on a loop and Don Cherry had joined in. (If you live in Canada or watch Saturday Night Hockey, you'll know that Don Cherry is a Big Deal.)

Last report Donaldson has drawn over 11.7 million votes, already a record for any player in any season and a million votes ahead of his closest rival.

He's no George Clooney or Kanye West. But Stephen Amell and his social media expertise does have some effect. I'm glad he got to live out the dream of hitting the ball in a MLB park. His "whoa" afterward was cute, he's so competitive.

SA is going to be on one of Nerd HQ's Conversations for a Cause panels, Friday, 7/10, at 5PM. I thought he gave great answers at last year's, so I'm really glad he's doing it again. And according to Zachary Levi, they're going to broadcast them live on IGN's website.

Main points:

MG refers to Oliver as a new vigilante with new gear and everything
New lair will be much bigger to fit the newbies
Diggle won't get a mask 'per se' but they want him to be out in the field a lot more. They're not looking to turn him into the next superhero because part of his appeal is as the 'normal guy'
There's one big development for Laurel that the producers can't talk about yet (I'm guessing love interest?) and that she's going to be a more integral part of TA and involved in more of the main plot.
Laurel will be in an interesting situation with Quentin
MG hopes to have more Nyssa/Laurel scenes
Maybe Barrowman is going to be the floater?
Felicity is NOT pregnant

They say this every year, though. Now that Laurel knows the secret, she'll be easier to integrate in the main plot. Now that she's suiting up she'll be much more involved with the team. And yet, that hasn't quite been the case. I hope this is not the season they actually follow through with it.

Re the TV Guide article: The caption for the picture of Oliver and Felicity driving off into the sunset quotes MG saying "The season premiere will reveal what Oliver and Felicity have been up to."

That's a vague tease, but I'm still excited because I'm intentionally reading too much into the "have been up to" part. Given the usual fast pacing of premiere episodes, I expect that they'll focus on the big picture of their five months together, and that it would have to be more specific and significant than great sex and strolls on beaches.

Any guesses? Mine are:

1. Major relationship milestone like engagement or wedding. Even though we'd all like to see the hard work needed to get to either of those points, I don't believe we'll ever get it. S3 and F@ckwit!Oliver's boneheaded decisions and their impact on Felicity will likely be glossed over.

2. Vacation crime fighting a la deux. Maybe Oliver's new costume is a souvenir.

3. Planning for/dreaming about Oliver's new business venture, Queen Incorporated.

It´s an article about S4 (interview with SA), but nothing spoilery. However, SA explains a little bit why he doesn´t direct an episode of Arrow:

[...] Would that new stuff [of S4] ever including a spot in the director’s chair for Amell?

“I am actually interested in directing and I’ve been asked a couple of times if I’d be interested in directing an episode of Arrow by Greg Berlanti,” he tells us. However, the actor has some concerns about stepping behind the camera. “I would like to do it eventually, but to direct an episode of Arrow I think would be a nod towards my own vanity a little bit. It’s not just the fact that I’m in most episodes, but it’s the fact that there’s a prep period before where I’d be shooting and there’s cutting the episode on the B-side where I’d also be shooting. I just don’t think it’s the most practical instance.” he explains. Unless Oliver decides to take a sabbatical in the near future and go away for a few weeks directing doesn’t seem in Amell’s plans for the near future. “There were a couple of episodes last year where I could have done it, but I’ll tell you, if I ever have an episode where I’m not shooting 7 out of the 8 days I use that time to regenerate,” he says.
