I don't mind the idea of Levi using Maxie to get to the Aztec jewels, but he was written as such an obvious toolbag from day one that it falls flat. And if I were Ron, I wouldn't risk the comparisons to the far superior, intricately plotted original Aztec adventure!

 

 

This has been my main problem with Levi; his character was done ass backwards. They made him such an obvious stereotypical jerk right from the beginning, that 1) no woman would actually want to be with this guy, nor would anyone's friends and family want any woman they know to be with him, and 2) everyone had to be written as stupid as possible for the sl to even be done. 

 

They should have had him come on as a charming, polite, over-confident guy (to the point of manipulation and showing bits of arrogance), and have him treat Maxie so well, that no one would be questioning her relationship to him.  He should have been able to fly under the radar for as long as possible, with maybe only Nathan (later Mac, etc.) getting hints of his real intentions.  He could have been written as wanting Maxie to get custody of her daughter, so he could be a step-father, and instead of a marrying for a green card, it could have been to show the court that Maxie is trying to create a stable home for her. 

 

Again, on the surface, he would sound great, and Maxie wouldn't have to be written as not giving a fuck about Georgie, but instead really wanting to do right (in her own ditzy Maxie way).  And that's why she would have stopped listening to her instincts, if she thought that Levi wasn't like her other bfs, and he was more stable, she would only think those feelings of doubt were just her fear of commitment, etc.  Kind of like George Costansa with his choosing to do the opposite of every instinct he had. 

 

Levi should have been so convincing, that to not believe him would make one seem a poor judge of the truth.  That way, when he was revealed to be a con-man and a criminal, people would actually be surprised and disappointed. 

 

Instead we got what we got, which was stupid.

No matter how hard I try (and I've tried, I swear!), I just can't get into Sam. I don't hate her. And it's not like anything she does is truly offensive in the grand scheme of soap characters, but there's something about her that is uninteresting and low-energy to me. There was also a few years there where she was always in the hospital for something or another and it got so repetitive. Like, how many times can the chick get shot?

Sadly, that is true. I think Easton liked being McBain with Anna, Sam, etc. He sparkled on GH then. Really, after PC got cancelled that is where the character should have gone. The show could have gone in a better direction.

I like Carly so I hope she comes out of the AJ reveal relatively unscathed. As for Sonny, I don't care. I don't actually think he's going to face any long term consequences so I don't see the point of getting invested. I'm just reading for the reveal to happen and for this whole thing to be over so we can move on to something else.

PC has always had a terrible DA. It's the only way to keep Sonny in town; otherwise, he'd have been thrown in prison for life ages ago.

We need a DA more concerned with being a bad ass than fighting over stupid Bobbie and Lucy. I'm done with them without Kevin or Tony. I miss Tony and Kevin.

No. Although he's currently solved two more crimes and one mystery that not even the PCPD and the city's bestest PI team can't crack. AJ's murder, Connie's murder, and Nina's secret. That crazy bastard has video evidence against Sonny and access to a recording proving Sonny's guilt. Franco PI would be an evil genius.

The soap DA has always been a thankless role. That's the nature of the beast. If a person is innocent, then the DA will send them to jail unjustly and if the person is guilty, the DA will fail to convict. My mother commented on that back in the 80s when Herb Callison was the DA in Llanview. The only time the DA gets it right is if a person is leaving the show.

LOL Nina and Franco remind me of Heather when she was normal and scotty they were just scheming lovers who were fun to watch and was always making trouble for people.Maybe Nina/franco can become the new evil couple lol.
