So this young girl at my work (early 20's) is so wildly inappropriate at work, she's constantly running around the office, randomly starts singing at her desk and has her loud and very inappropriate convos with a married coworker (don't get me wrong tho he likes it lol).

So I delicately raised the issue with a friend we have in common and she's all yeah she's aware she just doesn't care.

I feel bad cause I'm not sure she knows how bad it's hurting her reputation and thus her likelihood of promotion but hey I tried lol.

I think you meant Jimmy Fallon if you are referencing the PBS documentary that just aired on Friday, Which was AMAZING!!

The hip hop house band from the Jimmy's show, The Roots, were also interviewed. I think perhaps the documentarian just reached out to both at the same time. I do remember Jimmy talking about Hamilton when it was in previews or early on in its run. He also recounted his experience first seeing it on the documentary. So perhaps he was a representation of a typical viewer. Also, Jimmy has been doing the history of Hip-Hop bits on his shows for years (definitely worth going to YouTube for), so perhaps that was his other connection. At the end of the day, Hamilton is a monumental achievement for Broadway but also the Hip Hop Community. I think Jimmy Fallon kinda represented that blending of Mainstream Broadway & Hip Hop.

I will admit that when I first saw him in the previews, I was a little puzzled. But the more I thought about it, the more it made sense all things considered.

Yeah, I meant him. I keep mixing the Jimmys up, I'm not a fan of either, really, and particularly not Fallon. Eh, I wasn't really interested in him playing the everyman, I thought the students at the White House covered that really well, and I'd have appreciated if that time had gone to the female cast or something more about those women. Like, I liked what Laura Bush had to add about Abigail Adams.

Has anyone figured out how to fix the automatic scrolling of the pages. When I'm at work, I can't have it scrolling. Sometimes I just need to get to a certain post and the scrolling does not allow that.

If you mean when you go to a thread and the page just keeps steadily moving back up the page (as opposed to clicking on a thread and it jumping half the way up the page but then letting you scroll down without creeping back up) it's a problem that has something to do with embedded tweets and Internet Explorer.  They are working on it but as of Friday, we are looking at 2-3 weeks before the update/fix comes through.  The good news is if you switch browsers, the problem goes away.  I just installed Chrome today cause I couldn't stand it anymore.

On the motion sickness, soooo much this and I'm the kind of person that can spin forever around and around and nothing bothers me, but battling the really bad pages (it's always worse toward the bottom) where I could barely read half a sentence before it scrolled out of view reminded me of how I felt after I once dared to eat a meatloaf sandwich out of a vending machine. (First and last time)

Ditto... I can spin on just about anything for long periods of time and never get dizzy or sick.... then the self-scrolling pages hit and I'm like "WHOA"

It's also a problem on Firefox.  Glad to know there's a fix, I just figured we were stuck with it.

I don't know if they know about it being on Firefox as well.  I'd only saw IE mentioned.  You might want to pop over to the Bugs forum to make sure they have you covered.  Look for the topic  "Twitter Imbeds causing problems" and leave a message.

on "This is Us". Seriously was so upset, I was like really that is how you drop that news. Thank goodness they got it together and had Kevin make a speech in the end. I was in tears by the end of the episode again. I'm gonna have to start sending NBC my tissue bills. And I so won the bet with my Mom about the results of the pregnancy test.

I really didn't think that it would be Kevin that I would most relate and connect to on this show. But I find myself drawn to his journey, it feels so like me. I also see a lot of Rebekah in him. I love what they are having Mandy Moore do in the flashbacks.

I just love the show. It's the longest and the shortest hour of TV. Long because every minute is so full with stuff that you can't believe its only been 10 min or so between commercial breaks. And short because it ends way to soon.

Lastly, kudos to them for introducing another layer of quality flashbacks again.

Lol, this show sounds exhausting.  I'm sure it's good, the pilot was, but I just can't take pure dramas that are basically always a "very special episode"

The thing is the episodes don't feel like "very special episodes" when you are watching them. They just feel like realistic interpretations of everyday life. It feels like you could be part of an episode or something going on in your life could easily be brought into the show. It feels genuine.

I will say the marketing of the show is getting ridiculous. They are making everything seem like must-watch TV. The show is living up to the buzz. But I do think the marketing could take it down a notch.

I was more upset about Randall's father. I thought we'd get to see him a little bit longer.  And I already figured Dad had passed when Mom showed up in the present.

I was really irritated with Toby. Why couldn't he just let Kate watch her damn football game in peace!? I loved that part of things because football was HUGE in my family. Still is. We watched the Broncos like they watched the Steelers and I especially laughed & swore at the TV re the Steelers/Broncos 2006 playoff reference because I WENT TO THAT GD GAME in Denver.  ARRRGGHH! LOL.

This episode is just emphasizing my issues with Toby. He sells himself as this affable guy, but he just keeps pushing and will not give up, thinking he always knows better. I loved that Kate was so sure in watching the game alone, it was her thing and she made no apologies about it. It's the most self-assured I've seen her yet. And then this asshole just craps all over it. Oh no, he knows better. He's the bane of my existence on this show.

Kevin's critique group was excellent. Hold up, I'm not following. Hee. I actually had to pause because I was laughing so hard at his, I wouldn't get too attached.

Then of course it turned really sad. I wasn't expecting William to go that quickly either. I was expecting it to happen later on in the season.

I wasn't surprised by Jack being dead, but the way the reveal was done did stun me. After the episode ended, it made sense to me what with Kate obviously being a daddy's girl. However, I don't know that she needed to be told when and where she was conceived.

Another surprise was Miguel's appearance. For some reason I thought he had never married nor had kids. Maybe that's why he went off on Jack when he started drinking. Perhaps his wife had passed by that point and he was raising the kids alone. Or they divorced and he didn't get to see the kids.

Randall and Beth's relationship is excellent. They seem to have an unshakeable base. Great what's got two hands/two thumbs bit. 

I really liked how football was utilised, both bringing families together and pulling them apart. It's not universal, it's down to the people involved.

Don't mind me.  It's pretty much a whole genre of shows that I now avoid like the proverbial plague.  The last thing I'm looking for in my entertainment is something to mimic realistic life.  I'm fine if a show wants to layer any of that stuff on top of some other premise, but if the premise is family drama, I'm out.   Those shows aren't like a soap opera because of the drama, but because nobody ever gets to stay happy for long before something awful happens.  Too much awful in real life.  I need my high concepts to buffer me from reality in my dramas.

I rewatched the Gilmore Girls trailer and they not only show the funeral, but have a photo of happy Richard and Emily canoodling there? Assholes. :( I love the visual of her in a baseball Tee and a fancy necklace while she's decluttering. I wonder who it is that Luke sees pulling up to the diner in a town car. Maybe Emily has stopped driving?

I've had issues with "losing" letters, i.e. typing losing and getting ling. But that's been happening for a while. Is that what you're talking about? I thought it was either me or my keyboard.

This reference might be too old for most but, it's like typing on an typewriter, where the keys get stuck together.  It's very weird and only started this morning.

Maybe it's lag time between my phone and the board but, it's really annoying and it's only happening here.

That thread sprung as a reaction to surprise, it's Misogyny Week again. Chelsea Cain, who's been writing Mockingbird, was harassed to the point of deleting her Twitter account, and the most hilarious part was when she said this has only happened to her when she started writing superhero comics, there comes Brian Michael Bendis telling her "it's not comics". It's an entire industry that goes out of their way to exclude women all the fucking time, that never ever does anything to counteract a horribly toxic fanbase, but it's not comics. Fucking Bendis, man. Where can I send  my Alias comics for my money back.

Chelsea is awesome and the opposite of the fragile flower (and she writes great crime novels).  I scanned twitter to try to get a sense of the problem, but only saw the bruhaha about the cover.  Can anyone give me a short version of what happened, or is it really just the cover that people have a problem with?

Really not looking fwd to the inevitable loss of Randall's bio Dad, but once a show introduces Cancer that needs a super-specialist beyond your typical specialist I tend to not get attached to those characters. However, Bio Dad has had a lot chemistry & backstory, so it will be sad.

No problem... I usually avoid family dramas and even family sitcoms like the plague. It's part of the reason I never watched Gilmore Girls or FNL.  You can put the family drama into another genre and its fine, but real life being the driving force of a show is not something that appeals to me generally. This one just managed to get under my skin and into my heart ... and I think it comes down to the acting and the chemistry which is top notch.

I get that.  I actually intended not to watch Gilmore Girls just because of how DRAMA!!!! the commercials made it seem but one night when Friends was a rerun I was flipping channels and just three minutes of the dialogue and I was in love.   The show is a true Dramady with IMO more of the Comedy than the Drama most of the time.  And I promise you, real life is not what you get in Stars Hollow.  Plus when it does come to drama, it's interpersonal friction that can be resolved.  They never pull the grave illness or tragic death card (well, not without it being a verrrrrry side character and usually played for the humor).  

Of course with the loss in real life of one of the actors, that story will be told in the reboot, but otherwise I'd encourage anyone that likes quirky shows to watch Gilmore Girls.  The driving factor is the mother/daughter relationship but all draped over a super quirky small town they find endless amusement in.

I thought she was completely fine when she first told him she wanted to do it alone. She didn't hesitate and she made it perfectly clear that it was her thing. Even if it turned out to be nothing more than getting irritated by others commenting, she had a right to it. It's just that Toby is an overbearing jerk who just inserts himself everywhere and is convinced he knows best.
