I do think it's interesting that she is so taken aback by the protocols they've put in place for her to be assessed. This is the 2nd time she's had a major screw up on a case -- she had one last episode, too. I think it's more than reasonable that she has to prove herself. I like that they are not making her a perfect person or a total victim.

I would like to see her best friend get to be more than a sidekick, though.

It seems clear that the new chief is in fact trying to cover up his mistake, though. Was he talking to a lawyer, or a higher up hospital admin, who was counseling him to make sure Amy fails? I'm guessing it is an admin, who wants to cover the hospital's ass wrt a lawsuit. I'm glad he at least has some moral conflict over what he's doing. I still don't like him, but at least it's not quite as extreme as it was looking in the earlier episodes.

I think this was my favorite episode so far. I like that she’s having issues. She doesn’t know the current medicines. She screws up. She comes through but she has to work at it. I do wish everyone would just chill a little and let her work, but I get it’s early. Hopefully they back off a little bit though. That scene running down everything she did wrong just pissed me off. It was only accurate through the worst possible lens.

I still don’t see the massive behavior issues either. She’s harsh, but these doctors are treating patients. I did like the scene of Jake asking her to back off though. He approached it professionally without the ‘you’re awful’ fluttering hands. It showed that people could work with her if they tried. I’m curious what happened between her and Sonya. Jake seemed to be trying to protect her by sending her to TJ instead. Surely it was more than what we saw last week.

I loved the little moment when she walked up to the nurse and started to introduce herself then was like never mind, you know me. It was a good little shot of how weird everything is for her.

Gina and Amy are an entertaining pair. I hope Gina gets more to do on her own too, but I like her dynamic with Amy. They are really believable best friends.

I like that they’re showing more of Jake and Amy together than just little clips of them kissing. The dinner scene was cute. I don’t know why he lied about her telling him what the password meant though. I’m guessing he knows a lot more of what she wants to know than just her password. Dude needs to step up.

I’m not liking Richard. At all. The undermining is already old.

I'm really liking this show so far. Amy has been harsh in the past but now she's starting over and trying to figure things out. The question will be, will she return to being harsh or find a new way forward? I do think she was pretty harsh in the flashbacks and I don't like that personality too much, but I suppose you have to be a little tough to train new doctors.

From the scenes from before I got the impression that Sonya had a crush on Jake and was really taken aback when she saw them kiss while hiding. Don't remember where/when it was but just assumed it is simple jealousy and resentment.  The fact that Amy behaved so badly towards everybody and still Jake wanted her did not help.

I can't believe no one would suggest she speak to them about her problem.

It could be some residual "To hell with her, that's her problem" attitude from the staff that she had bullied.  Even with an absence of eight years, I would think that anyone who has ever worked in an organization knows about IT.

That might be a red herring.  Maybe there was something else in the conversation he wanted recorded.  It sure looks like Richard is trying to sabotage her somehow.

I like that, even as overwhelmed as she is, she can still tell that he has a problem with her, and she's trying to guess what it is. So she thinks maybe he's worried about her taking over the job he just inherited. And he doesn't tell her that's not it. Nobody is being honest with her, and she's trying to guess at things she ckind of feel but doesn't know the story behind. It's actually pretty cruel and kind of tells you who they are-- her best friend told her the hard truth. Other than that, everybody is leaving her to struggle on her own.

Richard obviously is trying to saborage her. But why is the boyfriend who clearly still likes her being like that? And her ex-husband is advocating for her but didn't tell her he'd remarried until she asked him!

It is cruel. She’s trying and hitting roadblocks from everyone but Gina. I think that’s why it pissed me off so much that the boyfriend lied to her. Like, dude. She needs help. He’s clearly on her side and helping her to everyone else, but he’s keeping his distance from her. He needs to be there for her more. I get it more from the ex. He’s not doing anything she doesn’t beg him into, but he’s an ex for a reason. Until we learn more, he gets more of a pass. I need him to see through the bullshit everyone is throwing up around her though.

I would like Amy anyway, but the supporting cast lost me when they made fun of her injury then called her brain damaged. Assholes. I think it says a lot that TJ is so in her corner now, and we saw Jake work with her constructively in the past. The problem was not all her no matter what they keep making her believe.
