Glitches Sunday at 03:18 PM Share Sunday at 03:18 PM “Presence” opens in theaters on Friday, January 24. “Star Trek: Section 31” is a new movie that starts streaming on Paramount+ on Friday, January 24. “Pod Save America” Is a podcast. “Wish You Were Here” is a movie currently playing in theaters but appears to be a limited release as it is not playing anywhere in my state. According to my Fandango searching, it is playing in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago (and maybe other places but these are the only cities I checked.) 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8558481

I enjoyed his camaraderie with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show. He has a laid back, relatable style and his special is relaxed and enjoyable (IMO). 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8558698

She got on my nerves in the second segment when she tried to speak after every single person who disagrees with her. atomic 13 hours ago Share 13 hours ago Alyssa, who often cites her faith as a core part of her identity, took exception to Bishop Budde not speaking to Trump privately about her concerns. Like anything she would have said to him in private would actually register with that sociopath. The Bishop made a courageous plea from her heart based on the Christian values of mercy, compassion, and aid. It was marvelous to see those two degenerates Trump and Vance squirm in their seats while she so eloquently explained what true Christianity is. 5 2 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8560924

Like anything she would have said to him in private would actually register with that sociopath. It probably wouldn't have made any more difference in private than it did in public. Knowing that it wouldn't make much difference either way (given how Trump reacts to criticism of any kind), was the Bishop's sermon mostly performative intended for the rest of the audience rather than a sincere attempt to communicate with Trump? In general, I think private conversations are more effective, because the person you are criticizing is less likely to be defensive without an audience and more likely to hear your message. Making comments in public always seems to be more about showing everyone how you stand, rather than convincing someone. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8561020

Aren't all sermons performative??? The Bishop had a responsibility to her flock and others in the audience to let them know the spiritual principles that are the bedrock of the church. Now there's a woman with courage and principles. 8 3 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8561025

I feel it was a sincere attempt to try to reach Trump and some of his cronies - I do feel that Vance, at least, is not beyond hope. At any rate this was also an opportunity to tell those being targeted by Trump that they are not alone, they are being heard and that people, good people, are still out there who care about truth and justice and fairness and mercy. Was it wasted on Trump? Of course it was. Jesus Christ himself could appear with words of compassion and not only would Trump demand an apology from him, so would most of his so-called Christian followers. 4 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8561032
Mollywolly555 11 hours ago Share 11 hours ago I agree with you about Trump and the minister, Dimity. But Vance's body language in church showed his disdain for the minister's message. He started to speak to his wife, who kept looking at the minister, then leaned back and to the side , crossed his legs, wth a smug, subway defiant look on his face. He got it, but wasn't buying it. I think Vance is truly worse and fear if he ever has to take over. Somewhat, not subway. 6 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8561058

So I eventually watched & she (Alyssa) has been extremely mean & nasty over the last 2 days and I have a theory (because she specifically mentioned it yesterday & seemed very annoyed by it) that she is pissed because Biden didn't include the witnesses in his Jan6 hearing pre-emptive pardons. I am wondering who had prodded Sarah to mention the pardon of Ross Ulbricht, was it Alyssa to help deflect or did someone else point it out. The fact that Trump even knows who Ross Ulbricht is came as a huge surprise to me as 99.9% of people would have no idea who he was & would presume that his sentence of 2 life terms + 40 years given in 2015 would make him some terrorist from another country. It's certainly a very strange pardon for Trump to give out considering he has never mentioned the guy before & he has no connection to Trump that we know of. Sarah is correct in that it flew under the radar because of the Jan6 pardons & the uproar surrounding those, but why was it given at all? A very very very strange pardon & a little worrying considering the circumstances & the way it was buried in a flurry of pardons. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151490-the-view-week-of-1202025/#findComment-8561079
