Not just that,but restaurants have to pay the services to use the service and end up taking a hit on their already narrow margins. But if they don't offer some kind of delivery they are screwed. I hate delivery apps. I always pick up

I used to drive for UE, won't do it anymore. Just no money to be made.

I've never used one of those apps; I don't even do drive-thrus. I occasionally get a McDonald's meal...two regular hamburgers with extra pickles, and medium fries with honey for dipping. No soda. But if I'm going to eat it, I at least get my ass out of the car and go in to get it. That's the only typical "fast food" restaurant I ever go to (unless you count pizza, which I get from a good local place and don't get delivered).

Not really an option where I live (in the boonies) unless I want pizza. I never get food delivered. Not my style.

Wow $3K a month is just crazy.  I am too cheap to do that, plus, I live in the woods so by the time delivery gets to me, it will be meh. I usually go out or pick up my own meal if I am already out and about in town. 

I don't like grocery delivery either. I don't judge if someone chooses delivery but I like control and spontaneity of being in the store... and I have always loved grocery shopping (growing with empty shelves and endless lines for everything, I appreciate seeing non-empty ones!!! and avoid lines by giong during off times).  Usually I go 2-3 times a week.

Same. Houseguest does UberEats sometimes, for Five Guys. It is expensive! And she's very responsible, so its an occasional treat. By the time everything gets to you its cold. Do not love.

A guy I used to work with was on the American version of the British Baking Show or whatever it's called. I don't really get into those things but I watched for a few weeks until he was eliminated.

There is no human being who can lift you up on their own... except for maybe some World's Strongest Man competitor. 

At least he seems to really want to try to stand and walk, unlike some who avoided it as much as they could.  But cakes aren't cool, and he knows it!!!
