I honestly dont know why they don't send them to psychotherapy from the start. Obviously, if you're over 500-600 lbs, you don't have a normal.relationship with food.  Its not enough to hand them a book with a diet plan in it and say "now, go lose weight." Its like handing a drug addict or alcoholic a book that says "drink less alcohol/do less drugs"

That's kind of the AA method

There is nothing behind her eyes. She is an empty shell of an eating machine. I don't see any sign of intelligent life there.

And she has never taken responsibility for anything, ever. Watching her whimpering about how "stressful" it was to endure the anniversary of her father's death made me want to slap her. By her own admission her father was a mean drunk who scared her. Why does she need to weep and stuff down tacos to honor his memory? Gah.

I have never had persimmon. I love my tangerines and grapes.

There are several varieties of persimmons.  I like fuyu because you can eat them pretty much at any time, even firm they are sweet.  The other kind are very astringent until very ripe (and fully ripe they are visually a bit unappealing, mostly brown).   I highly recommend trying them.  I grew up eating them... though in my childhood they had seeds and astringency.

Because it's a socially acceptable excuse to abandon all care, and also pity farm as a bonus.

Many plastic surgeons make patients get a psychological eval if they want certain procedures or a radical change

Bad memories can be rough as Hell. I always have the urge to drink around my mother's 'day'. The wince inspiring memories will make you crazy.
