He heard Sazz say she was going down to Charles' apartment, so he took her out there instead. Ah! Of course. I still wonder how he'd have enuf time to run over to Dudenoff's apt and set up. And how did he know he'd even have the opportunity to shoot her from the window? I'm sure this will be explained. Link to comment
cardigirl October 23 Share October 23 55 minutes ago, Yeah No said: The flashback scenes with Marshall confuse me. We see him killing Stubbins but not Sazz. What we see implies that he had motive to kill Sazz but just as without a body no murder, without seeing him actually take aim and shoot at Sazz, no murder, at least not by him. So that's why I'm still not sold on Marshall as Sazz's murderer and I'm still not sold on Sazz being dead in the first place. There might be some grander story here that will tie all of this together and it may involve a completely different person killing or attempting to kill Sazz. They may or may not have been involved with Marshall. 44 minutes ago, meep.meep said: They mentioned the plot holes from season 1 again - could Marshall be related to Tim Kono? 15 minutes ago, Affogato said: I thought of that. It would give them some familiarity with the building. All very good points. The Tim Kono angle occurred to me, too. And, as Yeah No pointed out, we saw Marshall (or someone that looks like him) put the pillow over Glen's face, but we didn't see a flashback to him shooting Sazz. This season's recurring theme has been doubles, or twins, so I agree that there is room for the last episode to go anywhere. I kind of hope that Marshall is not the killer, because I have imposter syndrome as well (as do most people) and I sympathized with him in that episode. Plus, I love the actor playing Marshall. But, the show's pattern has not been to have that big of a twist in the last episode. Maybe they'll be different this time. 2 Link to comment
chaifan October 23 Share October 23 I'll be disappointed if Teddy is somehow involved in this season's murder, as there hasn't even been a mention of him all season. I wish there was some sort of hint from earlier on that Sazz was writing a script. Even if she had just said to Charles, years ago, that her retirement plan was to have a training camp for stuntmen and to try writing some screenplays that she's had ideas for all these years. It's a little random for Sazz to now have written a complete screenplay - about Charles - without ever telling Charles about it. One more thing I want resolved in the final episode... what did Mabel negotiate for as part of her contract? 5 Link to comment
Dixie Sugarbaker October 23 Share October 23 Could the crossed out person in the Westin’s picture not be Helga but Marshall instead. When Sazz hit him, he had long blonde hair. That would give him an in with the Westies, with one giving him assistance in offing Sazz. I am thinking the sullen daughter; she was probably in love with Marshall or some other nonsense like that. Second theory: Marshall was working on the script with Sazz’s blessing and Glenn Stebbins killed her at the request of that creepy doctor; Marshall was avenging her death. 2 1 1 Link to comment

I don't know why Marshall's name wouldn't be on the script unless every agent in town knows that Marshall is a lousy writer and refuses to accept any more scripts with his name on it. Marshall could have put the video cameras in the apartments to help him capture the characters "real voices". This might even suggest that Marshall didn't kill Sazz. 1 Link to comment

Maybe Marshall shoots Sazz, and runs, leaving her there. Then the seperate individual(s) who is watching this all go down springs into action and disposes of the body and cleans up. If they’re already in the building, it would not take too much time to get the body out. And that person is Teddy Dimas, with Theo’s help. Why do this? Because Sazz’s murder messes up their cleverly planned plot to take down the trio. Teddy did tell Oliver that he was going to fuck him, when he least expects it. And this will be the plot of season 5. Or Uma!!! Link to comment

Something like this has been circling in my brain as well as much as I hate theories that involve Sazz being truly dead. 8 hours ago, AnimeMania said: I was thinking sort of the same thing where Sazz told Marshall the story and Marshall said they should make it into a movie, then they write the script together. I also have thought this with Marshall not being the murderer. Maybe the script with just Sazz's name on it was an earlier version that was hers alone and was revised with his input in a later version. Link to comment
Frost October 24 Share October 24 If Marshall was also a student of Dudendorff, he would have known the Brothers sisters. He finds Sazz's script, hawks it to them as his own, and then he kills Sazz so she can't expose him. They'd help him dispose of the body so the movie isn't shut down. Also, they could have gotten the cameras set up in the various apartments to get material for the movie, which ended up showing Sazz in Charles' apartment. There's still a big question about Marshall's sniper skills. Is he a secret member of an assassins' guild? 1 1 Link to comment
peeayebee October 24 Share October 24 Good point. He doesn't seem like he'd know how to handle a gun, let alone be a sniper. Maybe the accomplice did the actual shooting. Link to comment

I haven't watched Adaptation (although I know Meryl Streep played Susan Orlean), but: Spoiler Is Charlie Kaufman's twin brother in the movie real or a hallucination? Or is it just that Adaptation Charlie Kaufman has a twin while real-world Charlie Kaufman does not? Either way it seems to tie to this series' theme of doubles, so I hope it is relevant. She left it at Oliver's place because she never came back from Charles' place, where she went to get the wine. I guess she had the script in there and was going to tell Charles about it. The trio took it to the hospital to try to wake Glen Stubbins from his coma with the aroma of beer. When they got back to Oliver's apartment, Oliver mentioned that he didn't want it, so Mabel took it. That's why it was in her refrigerator in the studio apartment where she's been squatting. Mabel actually took the "peasant drink" from Oliver at the hospital, but otherwise you are correct. On 10/22/2024 at 4:54 PM, Snapdragon said: And OMG, Mabel! Why would you confront someone who you know killed two people when you're all alone? I hate when people do that in movies/tv. She didn't know he was the murderer at that point.
