I’ve been  reading obsessively about the Menedez Family….they were not as wealthy as they appeared, mortgages up to their eyeballs. Apparently they couldn’t even afford to properly furnish the home on Elm drive which is why the furniture looked cheap in the crime scene photos. Jose spent it all on acts and keeping up appearances. The brothers ran out of money half way through the first trial. Tiger lily and her Beau likely are in debt.
