I don't know how much is left of the original, as I understood, this version is substantially updated. But if you have seen it and loved it before - I hope you have a grand time! :) I am going to Clue at the end of the month, I have high hopes for that one. 1 Link to comment

Minivanessa April 11 Share April 11 I'm watching this on the Philo streaming app. I cut TV from my Xfinity package and am saving a ton of $$$. Philo has some cable channels at $25/month, no contract, including TLC. What I'm finding is that my feed seems to be lagging a few minutes after what at least some of you are seeing, and the commercials are different. Interesting. 1 3 Link to comment

lemoncake April 11 Share April 11 Who thinks its weird that the Food Network seems to mostly have shows not about cooking, but about the host going to eating establishments and filling his or her pie hole? Why would I spend time watching someone eat?? 5 5 1 Link to comment

I paid for the tickets of course, but hey. My birthday is also in June, but for my birthday I plan to go to USA vs. Uruguay as part of Copa America. The first live soccer game I will be attending in a long time! Overall, my plan for mid-June through mid-July is to lay on my couch, drink beer and watch soccer (I will be off for 10 days but I will confess I will be somewhat slacking during the days I am not off too!). And hope to not turn into this show subject as a result! 3 3 Link to comment

Auntie Anxiety April 11 Share April 11 Shakiyia has a lot of friends and family members to blame her weight on when Dr. Now asks her how she’s gotten so big. 1 2 Link to comment

Actually, it's Compare Foods, but they certainly have a lot of high calorie low nutrition offerings. The big stores don't allow filming any longer, so the producers have to find a store that will let them film. She's had a rotten life, and I'm hoping she follows the program, gets the surgery, and Dr. Now can remove that horribly painful, and dangerous lymphedema. Getting snaks lined up for the drive to Houston isn't on the Dr. Now plan. Her family seems supportive, and so is her friend. A three row SUV was a great idea. This trek to Dr. Now's is going to be rough. 5 hours on the first day was a great start. However, the Stagecoach Cafe looks like a fun place. Another one that thinks the camera crew isn't attracting attention. Edited April 11 by CrazyInAlabama 4 3 Link to comment

Why would I spend time watching someone eat?? I used to watch the Food Network a couple nights a week some 15-20 years ago when they were actually cooking, but then the competition became about clowning instead of about cooking, and the cooking component overall started to get lost and I stopped. I don't know if that's what the public wants or if it's what production thinks the public wants, but this country really would benefit more from people knowing how to cook tasty and healthy food, not people showing how much flair they've got... 4 1 Link to comment

LizzyB April 11 Share April 11 I'm trying to recall, have we ever seen a Poundticipant break a chair in a restaurant? I feel like there's a high probability of that happening, yet I don't remember it ever happening on this show. Shakiya's Stagecoach chair made me nervous! 4 1 Link to comment

aliya April 11 Share April 11 Boy, her breathing and her leg! Normally I'm a little hardhearted about patients who've eaten themselves into these problems, but she's had a lot of real trauma - not 'mom loved him best' stuff. She needs a wheelchair or walker. Whew. 4 3 1 Link to comment
