My takeaway is Chris likes the idea of being viewed as so cool, progressive and open minded that yeah, of course he would be with a trans woman, he probably brought it up all the time, will probably continue to bring it up going forward when this doesn't work out, but he can't get over his transphobia so he wants to make it out to be, I was rejected by this trans woman, it wasn't me, I was totally into her, she just kicked me to the curb.

The idea of that is so gross. I thought that Statler had seen photos but she wouldn't know from them that the toilets weren't plumbed and that the water wasn't hot. She said she had “irritable bowels.” If she has actual irritable bowel syndrome, I can sort of understand where she is coming from. A lot of people with bowel issues or bladder control problems are (justifiably) constantly concerned with where the nearest bathroom is and how quickly they could get there if needed. I’ve known people who scope out where the nearest bathroom is before going to a new restaurant, or who couldn’t go certain places because they wouldn’t be in close enough proximity to a bathroom. 

But yeah, no excuses for not knowing that Dempsey lives in rural England. The way Dempsey speaks about it, where she works and what she does for a living is pretty important to her. I can just sort of imagine her talking to Statler about it and Statler just sort of glazing over in a haze of “sexy English accent… mmmm”

This may be unpopular, but it won't be my first time, I do question Cleo's degree of autism. I have worked with so many different forms of autism across the spectrum, I would venture nearing 100 clients, but when Cleo talks about wanting to be touched constantly or shown lots of affection, that is news to me. Don't get me wrong I've seen Asperger's clients be affectionate with their family members or close friends, but they are literally small snippets of bonding or affection, very small doses. I often wonder if she relies on her autism identifier as protection against any hurt that could come from any awkward trans comments. Does that make sense?

Cleo feeling so self-conscious, or awkward, about how someone will react to her being trans can be covered up by attributing her anxious behaviour to autism. Frankly, I really like Cleo and she deserves someone far better than Christian.

Again, Statler is looking for the quick laugh so she feels rewarded for her comedic approach to observational humor. She annoys me so much because everything out of her mouth is a droll insult, or observational complaint. Exactly! I haven't put my finger on what it is that Christian is about, but clearly he's not fully into women (given his constant single status), he's not into trans (because he should have been all over Cleo by now), and he's still pretending to be a man about town/sexual swinger, When he clearly is not. I don't know if we'll ever find out what Christian is really looking for. But he's finally got his face on TV so maybe in a year or two we'll find out what he's really into? adding to what you said. If a guy any guy let me speak for myself. If I’m out with a woman at a bar or restaurant. I’m not going to go out of my way to talk or talk to a group of girls at a table. It’s just odd. You are focused on who you are sitting with.

I love your comments! I believe we could have a forum just on bashing Christian. When the plane gals had to get someone to tell Christian to leave them alone, again I got creep vibes. Even when he brought that little story up, it was out of place in the flow of their conversation. What was his intention? 

As you pointed out, Cleo is sitting in there in bed looking absolutely lovely and vulnerable, and he doesn't even have the ability to compliment her, reassure her, put his arm around her, acknowledge her. I'm so confused.

Then again, he may pull out some grand gesture out of his butt and impress all of us. I'm not holding my breath.

Good call. I don't know enough about Aspergers to fully comment, but I do have to agree with your statement about showing affection and being touched a lot. I know several people with Aspergers and I do see that they don't want to be constantly touched and are not affectionate.

Amanda and Razvan

Amanda is one of this season's cast members' I'd like to grab by the shoulders and shake, yelling "Just once would you please put your brain in gear before you put your mouth in motion?"

Why?

So very many things. But from this episode,  according to her, Razvan wanting to move to the U.S. is a "red flag".

Let's take a close look at all two of the possibilities here, Amanda. 

When you met Razvan online and fell in love, did you intend to choose what's behind:

Door #1: Marry him and move to Romania with your kids and live there happily ever after?

OR

Door #2: Apply for a K-1 visa, bring him to the U.S., marry him within 90 days of his arrival, and have him live with you and your kids here happily ever after?

Call me crazy, but I'll bet your eyes were on Door #2. 

That being the case, it sounds like you'd rather Razvan didn't want to move to the U.S., and if you were finally able to convince him otherwise, he'd hate living here and would only continue to stay because he loves you. 

If that was your thinking — because it's the only option that would convince you Razvan was marrying you for the "right" reasons —you're one hell of a sadist, Amanda, and I hope to God Razvan dumps you sooner rather than later.
