DirecTV is currently in a contract dispute for a carrier of some of the local TV stations, including the NBC affiliate, so they have blocked the signal.  I hope I can get it on streaming when it comes up.

It will be on Peacock after one week. It will be on the NBC app after one day but I'm not sure if you can watch it without using your TV provider login. Which of course would not work with DIRECTV when they are in a dispute with a thieving overpriced owner of your local NBC affiliate (Nexstar).

You might have found Blacklister #2...

So now Hudson is trying to find out who tipped off Red at the airport.  Um, because the tower didn't announce that all planes were grounded?  How is that not a clue something is up?  And I'm with Weecha on the flying on a bomb all the time.  Ugh, I'm still waiting for Hudson to get his...

It was nice seeing Dan Butler as the AG.  I wonder what happens to Cynthia in all of this?

And of course Red is the last name/#1 on the list.

I figured Pritchard wouldn't survive but I did feel bad for Ressler finding him though I don't understand why he didn't (or maybe he did) inform the wife about what had happened.

On to the finale.

and the pilot is Andrew FRICKIN' McCarthy.

Actually, McCarthy has been "behind the scenes" all this time.  He has directed several episodes of "Blacklist",

but this is the first time these two Brat Packers has been seen in a scene together since PIP and LTZ.

In spite of the AG's explanation, Hudson has no part in the investigation except as an observer.  Yet, there he is, peppering each member of the A Team with questions.  I would have told him to zip it, and the next word out of my mouth would be "lawyer."

The ending scenes in the PO sort of reminded me of the final scenes from Parks and Recreation, with everything being boxed up and all.  I wonder if anyone was eyeballing those giant monitors on the wall as, shall we say, "spoils of war."

I'm surprised Reddington didn't have a couple of doppelgangers on that plane to throw the FBI off the track for at least a while.  And Reddington's plane has the transponders required by the FAA?  Don't make me laugh.  I loved the fact that he was able to waltz right in to the AG's office monitors and yak it up with them.

Red has effectively trapped himself in D.C. / Virginia / Maryland ... so there will be an Amtrak chase, Potomac speedboat race that expose other Blacklisters, so Ressler will get distracted...

I'm sure it would have been impractical for any number of reasons but it would have been hilarious if the team from Blindspot had been the ones dismantling the Post Office. The Andrew McCarthy cameo was fun though.

I like Herbie's low-key crush on Siya. He brought coffee to the table but only for her and when he finds out that the Task Force is shutting down, she's the only one he mentions by name. He kind of even proposed to her with the whole crime-fighting van idea.

I must also take a moment to appreciate that when Red's plane blew up no one was fooled for a single second.

On the other hand, it was silly that Hudson and crew made all their moves in full view of the Task Force which allowed Dembe to do something sneaky. If you had put them in another room you might have succeeded.

Ressler calling Cooper and Dembe calling Red is solid proof that the Task Force is every bit as corrupt as Hudson says it is. See also Cooper telling the AG "fuck it, I don't care anymore, Red has defeated stronger opponents than you many times".

I actually feel worse for Ressler losing his NA buddy than I do for him losing Liz.

So fun to see Andrew McCarthy! Despite the normal aging in his face, he still looks basically the same, but with Spader I have to look really hard to see his 80s self hiding in there.

Poor Mackenzie Astin. Like Ressler needs something else to feel guilty about. Not that it was his fault but if he’d been able to answer his phone he might’ve been able to help him.

So with just a finale left, I’m wondering if they will actually answer any questions about Red’s true identity, or if they’ve just given up.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I actually enjoy the scenes with Red and Agnes, I think they are sweet.

I’m enjoying these last several episodes. I’ve been with this show from the beginning and there’s no way that I’m going to give up now. Lol.

I knew that Andrew McCarthy has been directing many of the episodes, but it was a cool cameo of him as the pilot. How much fun it must be for him and Spader.  Yes, Andrew still looks really, really good, but I can still see the hot James from Pretty In Pink. I’ve always loved him at his snarkiest.

Oh, and how stinking cute was young Dembe a few episodes ago?!?!  They found an actor that really resembled what Dembe could’ve looked like as a young man.

I watch on NBC app next day with no tv provider, but you do need an NBC account.  I did not know about the Peacock in one week!  I have no commercials Peacock and I guess just never waited long enough.

Remembering him from the 80s, I find it hard to look at Spader now.  Sure, I know we all age, but he hasn't aged well.  Andrew McCarthy has though.

Spader is 2 years older than McCarthy... They were aged 26 & 24 respectively when Pretty In Pink was filmed

I can't believe all that long build up for Ressler's NA buddy -- and now he's dead.
That's the most disappointing buildup since Itchy and Scratchy went to the fireworks factory.

The task force is up and running, the task force is closed, the task force is up and running -- all within same episode.

Shouldn't Hudson be up on charges for knowing details about a classified task force he's not supposed to know about -- but no, he's an observer on-site at the location of the classified task force that he's not supposed to know about.  FFS !

Good to see Andrew McCarthy.

Still no sign or mention of the dogs, Robert Vesco's cat, or Sierra the cat.

Hmmm, maybe the finale will be Red going to a luxury pet spa, collecting all of the various pets and then taking them to his escape island luxury home for a happily ever after...
