What did Evan and Carlin pay for their house?

If memory serves me right, it was mid-300s? I've seen the pictures of Travis and Katie's house and it's way nicer. Better layout, better backyard and there's a detached garage with living space above. It's not a McMansion by any means (2100 sq ft, 3 bed, 2 ba), but still a good spot.

Eta: oops, I was way off. Didn't realize it was 310k.

Katie, the youngest married Bates daughter continues to 'out do' her older siblings. I guess a favored trust fund husband comes in handy.

Yeah, Travis definitely started life on 3rd base. If you add in the New Jersey house, they're probably sitting on a million bucks in assets. I agree with what Notabug said, that Travis likely has some no-show remote "job" in the family business that gives him salary, benefits and the false impression of steady, legitimate employment.

I have a feeling it won't be long before Carlin starts getting restless and wants an upgrade. She had a pissy look on her face as they toured the house. Methinks she was a tad jealous.

I'm sure Erin's wondering why they can't find sweet friends to give them acres of land in Arkansas.

I think a lot of these fundies feel that way.   After all, Chad sacrificed to move to Florida to do whatever it is he did for the church and manages to avoid paying work by selling prayer cards.  His construction company doesn't seem to be profitable and it looks like he has plenty of time to pfaff around with Erin and the kids unlike suckahs with real jobs. Like JRod, they feel that their spiritual devotion is an actual job and they should be showered with free stuff including housing by other fundies who have actual jobs and steady income.

Katie and Travis probably have a similar mindset and just manage to do better because Travis' parents managed to make money off the faithful and are letting their kids ride the gravy train alongside them,

I bet Travis has a title like Youth Music Consultant at the family church or school. His duties consist of singing occasionally with the Clark Family Singers or suggesting songs for the school to sing or similar easy peasy tasks he can do remotely. And receives benefits and a nice salary like it’s a full time job. I think Grandaddy Clark started the church and school and IIRC a bunch of Clarks work there.

I agree and all those b.s. Nashville trips are probably written off as 'part of the job.'

I am wondering how it is that these two qualified for another home. It looked like they financed it in part. They own another home in NJ which I believe is rented. My husband and I had a hard time WITH JOBS, to qualify due to owning another home in another state which the mortgage company considered an expense; repairs/ taxes etc. This didn't seem to be an issue for these two. I wonder why that was. Gil and Kelly must be amazed at the contrast in finances when compared to how their own children grew up in borderline poverty, IMO. Most of these childrens' lifestyle just doesn't seem to add up to not working traditional jobs.

I think people are under estimating how much money they make off of their YouTube videos. The videos are usually sponsored and they do commercials for various items.  Some of the videos have over 1 Million views and most have over a hundred thousand. That combined with his music career probably brings in a nice income. I have no idea how successful his music career is but he does write songs and I assume sells his music.  Did they sell their house in New Jersey? While I don't think it is a good plan to base one's financial life on Youtube and influencing if it woks for them no skin of my nose.

THANK YOU. Nothing these people do makes sense, and they lie to their “followers.”

I keep telling others never to watch their videos, but it seems I’m screaming into the void. Why fund child exploitation and hate? I can’t tell you how much this frustrates and depresses me 😢.

They are dopes, imo. It would take 2 second to find the house they bought. These people just don’t think. But let’s put out videos about every freaking thing.

It’s pure child exploitation. Children and even INFANTS. Sick.

If you look at their combined income streams: YouTube, Instagram, music, renting out the NJ house and whatever no-show job Travis has through the church, they're making bank. I imagine they were able to put a sizeable down payment down for the Knoxville house. Also notable that Katie tagged the mortgage company about a hundred times, so that was probably some sort of paid sponsorship as well.

As long as Katie keeps pumping out photogenic babies, she and Travis will be set for the foreseeable future.

Yay, child exploitation!

Travis went on tour twice this year.  Although the Christmas one was smaller.  I'm sure this paid well.  Plus, as someone mentioned above, he is writing songs and when those get sold or recorded, more big bucks with the potential of residual income.  The rent from the NJ home probably brings in a sweet amount too.  If he does still get paid by his family for being a Clark and then the social media income too, they are doing fine.  Just in the last six months they bought a nice car, had a baby, bought Kelly Jo a car and bought a house.
