Did you see the little bow she gave K&J? And her ridiculous giggle on media day. Eeeeek! She is definitely smart, she should own it. Quit giving mature, concise answers then falling apart in little girl giggles. 7 Link to comment
Nancybeth January 11, 2021 Share January 11, 2021 Setting aside "internal" media (i.e. the DCCs on the podcast or talking to the sideline reporter or something else produced BY the Cowboys Organization), I would guess their media interactions are pretty benign. Let's say their on a USO tour in Korea and being interviewed by Armed Forces Network. They would likely be asked a couple basic questions... "Tell us about the DCC's role on a USO tour?" "What does this mean to you personally to be part of this tour?" "How long is the tour and how often do you practice?" "What made you want to be a DCC?" That's it. The girls need training on what their messages should be and how to answer the question and deliver their message. That's the training part of media training and either they don't show us that portion or they don't give it to them. The other piece of media training/interview practice should be how to get out of questions you don't want to answer. Let's say they're asked about why they're still dancing and allowing fans in the stadium during COVID. A skillful "I can't speak to that but what I can tell you is that our organization is committed to keeping our players, our cheerleaders and our fans safe and healthy," will be sufficient. 12 Link to comment

That's why it's not media training, it's media interviews. They need to tell them how to answer questions they're uncomfortable with or don't really know the answers too. Surely interviewing technique and media training should be in the first couple of weeks of TC and then towards the end, they should do media interviews to see any improvements or who would be a risk. The whole thing needs an overhaul. 15 Link to comment

Do you like your job? If not, you could be the media trainer for DCC. 👏 2 2 Link to comment

I would think in a scheduled media interview, TPTB would be able to control the setting and the questions a little more closely than in a more informal setting. Kelli and Charlotte can designate safe topics and questions to the interviewer with the caveat that if they go too far off-script, the interview ends and they won’t be back for subsequent visits. I also think they need to also concentrate on far more informal interactions as those cannot be regulated as easily. For instance... In 2003, I happened to be in the Middle East when a USO tour came through our office (I worked for the Lieutenant General, so that is why they were coming through our particular office). There was only 4 maybe 5 DCC. I didn’t follow DCC then and I’d never be able to pick them out of a line up now - I just recall a lot of blonde hair. 😂 But they were lovely and sweet and actually talked with us for quite awhile. We were all just standing around informally in a big group, and even though we were not “media,” they did get a lot of questions. But it was more along the lines of “how long is the tour?” “Where all have you visited?” “What’s been your favorite part so far?” And, “Aren’t you girls hot?” (meaning temperature-wise - it was summertime and they were wearing long pants and sleeves). No one ever asked them their opinions about world politics or political ideology. This meeting was actually the reason why I was intrigued a couple years later when I saw the MTT show. In case anyone wants to know, the other entertainers in this group were: Kid Rock - he was awesome. I didn’t listen to his music (then or now) but he was so friendly and genuine and funny. There was a female singer there too, can’t recall who she was because she was very quiet but seemed sweet. Some guy who maybe was a comedian, but I never spoke with him so I really don’t recall too much about him. And Alyssa Milano. Who was a complete and total bitch. Sorry if anyone thinks that is harsh, but I’m actually putting it nicely. She was so horrible, in fact, that 17.5 years later I will tell anyone who will listen just what a bitch she was. Alyssa Milano, who🤣? Was she stuck up or just right out nasty? Great to hear about DCC and the others! 4 Link to comment

I always suspected she was. Her tweets I see occasionally reflect her filthy mouth, her constant anger, and how intolerant she is to people whose opinions are different than hers. I liked her in that show when she was a kid but for the past few years I can’t stand her. She is an ugly person on the inside. 1 2 Link to comment

On the whole I agree - it's kind of the like the crazy Miss America interview questions when they ask things like "How would you resolve the Venezuelan refugee crisis" and I'm like dude the State Department hasn't figured that out - y'all think Miss West Virginia has the solution???? But it does make for good TV when they get stumped! 10 4 Link to comment

LOL like the Seinfeld where Kramer was coaching Miss Rhode Island & his question was something like "What would you do if we were on the brink of a nuclear war & the only way to stop it is to sleep with the enemy's leader?" 😂 4 Link to comment
