^^this^^ is a figment of my helpful plot writing since the PTB are so crappy at it. But just y'all wait, they'll steal my ideas....I want royalties, or maybe just my name on the end credits...

For those who seem obsessed with Chance's Speedos...where, then, does he wear his badge ??       Going back to my cave now...

The only way this storyline could get worse (well, all the storylines) is if they decide to bring back Daisy, Sheila, etc.  That time has passed and this soap needs to stop bringing back people who have not been on for decades. Maybe Diane is the exception? I wasn't watching when the character was on before. Enough with the supervillain/villainesses. Long-lost/forgotten children one never knew they had.

He seems to have taken lessons from Kyle's/Michael Mealor's school of acting where they stare blankly at the empty space in the mid-distance with no expression. I'm not sure if they think it makes them look serious or if they cannot remember their lines if they look another character in the eyes (like real people in a conversation).

CF is cute when he smiles, but he usually does it in the background, not when he is the focus of a scene

Why are we being subjected to this Heather's murder story? What was the point of killing her off? Someone needs to tell Josh Griffith that if he wants to kill a character off unnecessarily, then then he needs to make sure the writing is top notch and not this dumpster fire of ridiculous plot holes, terrible pacing and worst of all, way too much Phyllis. It feels like MAB is ghostwriting this garbage.

Thanks a lot, Nikki. Jack probably hadn't thought of resuming his painkiller addiction until you brought it up.

Claire's braid was interesting. And by interesting I mean, "Wow, how many wire coat hangers are stuffed in there?"

As if Phyllis going hysterical as Chance arrested Daniel wasn't entertaining enough, Christine showed up announcing herself as Daniel's attorney. And then mommy dearest made a textbook "Bish whet?" face. <golf claps>

Not sure whether Nikki was more angry or embarrassed to learn about the long game Victor's been playing to retaliate against Jack.

Diane, comparing yourself to Victor Newman is not the way you want to go. Not unless you aspire to be a toxic narcissist.

OMG, Phyllis is insane. Christine will throw the case against Daniel because she hates Phyllis? I don't how Michael didn't call for the men in white coats to come take her away.

Nikki, it's not that Jack saved your life, it's that he risked his own life to do it. Victor feels one-upped, and that you're now beholden to his enemy.

Whoo chile, I don't know how Nikki stood there and let Victor basically call her Jack's gardening utensil.

But Michael, innocent people do sometimes get convicted of crimes they didn't commit. You might want to be careful about positioning Christine to take the blame if things don't go well for Daniel.

Geez, I gotta hope Diane is shining Victor on. Otherwise, Lily and Audra may need to sit Diane down for a little chat on the dangers of trusting TGVN.

Okay..... has Traci been hit on the head recently, or started sniffing glue?  Because I'm hard pressed to come up with another reason for the conclusion she reached, after her conversation with Diane, that "Diane only cares about herself"?  THAT'S what she took away??  For a supposedly successful writer, she's pretty poor at reading between the lines.  Diane's working a plan, solo, and she's the smartest person in the room.  Not as hard as it seems considering the company she keeps.

Not to be outdone, Phyllis was even crazier than usual today.  Besides babbling hysterically at first, Chance, and then Michael, she goes after Christine, accusing her of wanting to punish her by throwing Daniel's case.  Ms. Dunderhead of 1993 seems to have forgotten that one of Christine's "unforgivable" sins was how much she loved Daniel and how much Daniel loved her back when his dad and Christine were a couple.

Completing the circle of stupidity, we got to watch Nikki finally realize that Victor's great scheme was all about her and Jack's fateful night in the hotel, when Jack stupidly took pills to shock Nikki back into sobriety.  How could Victor DO such a thing, even when he told her early on that's exactly what he was going to do????

Further proof, if it was needed, that MENSA will not be opening a field office in Genoa City anytime soon.

The only one with all the lights turned on today was Genoa City's answer to Heidi, Little Miss Claire.  She explained the ins and outs, the twists and turns of the human heart to widdle Kid Pomp, who was as entranced by it all as Harrison is by watching caterpillers turn into road kill.  Just wait till Claire clues him in on the birds, the bees and Brussel's sprouts.

A Brief Recap - Personality Disorders on Parade

Phyllis flawlessly captured the exhausting drama of being around a textbook narcissist. Master class, all the way. For anyone living in a cave, Phyllis is the narcissist. Watch Daniel have to soothe his mother while he is being arrested for a murder he didn’t commit. You’ll never convince me Daniel wasn’t relieved to be taken to jail by Chance.

Nikki is acting brand new AGAIN about Victor, who probably invented narcissism while he was drinking stegosaurus blood back in the day. She is shook that Victor is plotting revenge against Jack for his admittedly stupid stunt in the hotel room. Victor claims Jack almost killed Nikki (lolwut?) but he’s just pissed that another man showed him up by showing basic human decency. Victor mocks Nikki and Jack in a cringey clown shoe performance. Yikes.

Traci butts into Jack’s and Diane’s marital problems and comes away none the wiser. Victor calls Diane after Traci leaves her room, all horned up to demean her and use her against Jagabbott.

Claire explains, with more patience than Kyle deserves, his parents’ relationship. I’d personally kick him in the ass and ask him if he wants their love or not, but who knows? The writing for this shitbird is all over the place.

Christine is fresh out of fucks for Phyllis, and Michael looks like he might be getting overdrawn at the fuck bank as Phyllis plies him with deranged theories.

Why does Manic Phyllis🕷️ think she the center of the universe?  Rhetorical question.

Ugh, so much that made no sense today.  That convo btw Vic & Nikki?  WTF?  She accuses him of being the investor of Pissade & he never admits to it, but is angry that Jagabot pissed her off.  Er, huh?  It's like she was talking to a dementia patient.

Sorry, had to chortle when Nikki said to Jackie, "Oh I sometimes I do overlook Victor's schemes."  Really, hun?  Finally, a super-short moment of self-awareness & a tiny break from your usual Carmela Soprano routine?  Mmm, OK, hope saying that made ya feel better, sweetie, but it's still bullshit, cuz you ALWAYS overlook Vic's evil crap.

Phyllis acting like a total screeching lunatic . . . was for Emmy 2025 submission?  Yuck, blech & feh!

And Diane saying she wants revenge or retribution (to Vic) against Jackie & Kyle?  I don't get it.  What for?  Still think this is a set-up for Vic.  If it isn't, man, this is shitty writing.

Er, my mom is 87 & has a wig that looks like Traci's hair & she looks adorable in it.  But on Traci?  Mmm, let's just say, maybe the hairstylists AND the writers hate Traci -- and Claire too . . .

I don’t understand the writing at all. It’s all over the place. Characters behave according to plot instead of their established personalities, plots regularly fly off the rails, most of the characters are miserable and the narrative consistency is piss poor.

Like, wtf with Phyllis? How are we supposed to be taking her? Like a blind squirrel, she’s found a nut with Sharon potentially causing Heather’s death, but the only reason she believes that is because Phyllis hates her. Are we supposed to cheer for her to be vindicated while she bulldozes over people, calls other women bitches and rants about Christine throwing a case? Her ferocious mother bear act is all bullshit designed to get herself attention. Her unemployed ass taunting lawyer Christine about having nothing to do but throw panties at Danny blew my fucking mind.

I tend to lean towards Jack and Diane pulling a fast one, but, damn, if that’s true, they’ve drawn some innocent people into it. People are now worried about them and will be rightfully pissed about the deception. We know Victor always wins, so why invest a single damn in this storyline? Kyle goes from psycho rage toward his parents to pouty little baby and back again, rinse, repeat. Stop making me watch the actor’s lips disappear as he goes rabid meerkat over mommy firing him.

The Sharon super criminal story is laughably illogical. Adam has become a complete schmuck and Billy has become reasonably okay (for him) in his personal life but goes full metal biscuit at work. They made Daniel into such a putz when he got with Heather that I’m pretty meh on his predicament. The actor is doing a fine job though.

I swear AI must be writing this garbage while JG collects a check.

Diane and Phyllis need to be gone, again. For good.

I'm not buying the solo Diane "my husband and son WRONGGGGED MEEEEE!!!!" lines to The Moustache, and I feel like there's definitely a 'fast one' being pulled here. I was hoping Jack and Nikki would have gotten together after the night in the hotel just because I'm so sick of her being a doormat for The Moustache and I liked them together when they were married. Anyway, I just want Diane GONE and I hope this rift is really for real.

Diane is totally faking this. I’m not sure yet if Jack is in on it. Seems like he would have cracked and told Tracey.

When he was telling Nicki he would get revenge on Victor, and she was momentarily furious with Victor, I was really hoping for a minute that they would jump each other’s bones. Not because I want to see a geriatric sex scene (shudder) but just because I hate VictorNewman just that much.

I wonder if there is any way Jack could free Aunt Jordan…

If it's a day ending with a "y" Kyle must be knocking back some booze. At the GCAC, Society, the jazz lounge, or at home, in rotation every day. I'm starting to think Kyle might be a budding alcoholic.

Nate in those slim jeans tho. 👀 😻

At last we meet Amy Lewis. The 2.0 version, anyway.

Daydream Nick was right. Daniel being arrested for murder is all on Sharon. No need for her to be acting shocked and upset at the news.

Ridiculous that it took his attorney telling Daniel to stay away from Sharon before it finally sunk in with him.

Yeah, ditto comments upthread, Diane is definitely trying pull something on Victor to get Kyle away from him. Good luck with that, hon.

Wait, Jack said Kyle and Harrison would be leaving the Abbott manse soon. Then, presto chango, Kyle offered to stay for Ashley's sake. Right, Kyle. Why spend your own money when you can keep freeloading off your daddy?

Alrighty, Preverts: if anyone here was surprised to learn Nate has a heretofore unknown older brother, raise your hand. Bueller? Bueller?

Nate's "new" sibling is named Damien. The demon child jokes will write themselves.

Catfight in the NE CEO office! After his argument with Nikki about Jack, it would suit Victor nicely to be able to use Diane to make Nikki jealous. Ugh, Victor was so smug toward Nikki today.

Christine and Phyllis as a united front. Oy. Luckily Darth Sharon has sensed a disturbance in the Force, lol.

Hey Sharon, they say confession is good for the soul.

Making a bet: Ghoul Cameron tells Sharon to kill Christine and pin it in on Phyllis. Two problematic birds, one stone.

Manic Phyllis🕷️doesn’t even consider the fact that Chance arrested Daniel on orders from the DA.  It was the DA’s decision not Chance’s decision to proceed with a case against Daniel.

It’s becoming quite obvious that Jack’s and Diane’s fight is a means to an end to set up a revenge plot against Victor.  Diane’s plan is so lame that I’m sure that Victor is only entertaining the idea as self amusement.  There is something I learned decades ago the served me very well in business and that is listen to what a person is telling you but ask yourself why they are telling you.

OK, so lemme get this straight on what Diane's proposal (er, scheme with Jackie) to Vic is.  She wants to take over Pissade, the company that now has the moisturizer, which was stolen from her?  And Vic is gonna trust her to take over Pissade?  Or will he realize he can't trust her & pull a fast one on her?  Gah, this is all too stupid & confusing to care about!!!

And there's yet another idiotic convo btw Nikki & Vic.  Look, Nikki, who are ya kiddin', hun?  We know you're only gonna counter Vic so much & so far cuz you sure luvs the zillionaire lifestyle Vic gives ya, don't ya, sweetie?

I mean, Nikki coulda said to Vic -- Listen up, fool, that fateful night, I was holed up in a GCAC room ready to drink myself to a certain death, and Jack happened to find me & stopped this from happening & absolutely saved my life.  You should be grateful to him for saving my life, instead of creating hurtful & hateful vengeance schemes against Jack & his family for absolutely NO reason.  And why can't she say that to Vic?  Too dumb or she doesn't wanna lose the zillionaire lifestyle?

So Nikki now knows Vic is doing dirty shit against Jackie.  She looks a bit angry, but is she gonna do anything about it?  Uh, nah.  She seemed angrier about Diane hangin' around.  So freakin' stupid.

More Sharon dreams?  Oh Show, make it stop.

Cameron needs to cut out the extra step and just recommend eliminating Phyllis. Try getting a jury to convict Sharon for that.

Glowing hallucination Nick sucks and is only slightly smarter than the real thing. He makes me miss Bloody Cam.

I thought Nate was going to be asked to provide transplant material for a sick sibling. Instead, we get an added layer of depressing with the dying mom. How long until Damien and Nate are fighting over Audra?

Kyle is going to stay now that Dad kicked Mom out of their tree fort. Like he was trying all that hard to move out. I’m wondering if Diane is scheming all on her own, making some big, noble sacrifice to reunite Jack with their idiot son. Good luck with that.

Yes, ending Phyllis is always a given. I was thinking Sharon needs to kill Christine too because of Christine's defense strategy for Daniel. Sharon doesn't want to be used as an alternative suspect in order to get Daniel out of a murder conviction. The only answer is to murder Christine, natch.

That's probably it.  She's doing a "Stella Dallas" play.

Though, looking at it a bit differently, reuniting Jack with Kyle might just be the ultimate act of revenge.

Huh, I'd been wondering whether Sally would attend the big wedding. I figured she'd be Uncle Billy's plus-one.

Nikki keeps acting so disrespectfully toward Lily. Geez.

Nikki, you ain't gonna be in charge of sh!te at Chancellor. Get ready to be picking your face up off the floor when Jill tells you, "Or so you thought."

Duh, Nate. Your ultimate response to Amy Lewis should've been two words: DNA test. Good thing Audra is a schemer, because she picked up on the potential scam right away.

Lily spilled her whole Chancellor game plan to Nikki. Now Nikki can warn Victor that Jill is the backup Lily is counting on. Sigh.

Thank you, Devon, for dropping by and interrupting Audra and Nate's intended couch sex. 😈

They're already calling this Damien guy a new member of the extended Winters family. Shoehorning much?

Abby wants a "Grace Kelly meets Audrey Hepburn" wedding gown. Oh Abs, who do think you are, a member of the British royal family? It's your third marriage, hon. Get over yourself.

Weird how Audra's meetings with potential employers keep getting cancelled. Sounds like there may be a whisper campaign going on against her. I'm unconvinced it's related to Tucker.

Victor assured Nikki he can handle Jill. This I gotta see. Both he and Phyllis are extremely overconfident wrt Jill.

Those flashbacks of Little Nate. Sorry but I didn't care for that kid. He was way too earnest IMO.

If Damien was 15/16 [sorry, I was dozing off from excitement] in '96 when Nathan died, he would be in his mid 40's now. His 30 year old Dr / Businessman brother is supposed to track him down from parts unknown, straighten him out, lead him to a purposeful life, all in time to allow him to say goodbye to his dying mother. This is way beyond a simple "failure to launch ".

Amy, sweetie, have you checked your basement ?? Those noises aren't rodents, they're the sound of your son's game controller....

Audra would have zero interest in Damien unless his current career path matches Nathan's original life as a successful criminal. Mucho dinero es muy sexy.

Comments up thread on who's playing who are spot on. Amateur players playing Master Class players get played for fools.

Are we supposed to believe that the GC ruling class is going to do-si-doh back to the time when Jack & Nikki and Victor & Diane were dance partners ?? Anvils are a-droppin'.   The thought of Diane serving TGVN "Brussel Sprouts A'La Gaol" is delicious.

It was hilarious when Abby said something about how Sally did such a good job on her LAST wedding dress so she was sure she would the same for this last minute wedding dress.  I'd forgotten that Sally had already designed a dress for Abby.  Sally's done one wedding dress for Victoria and now two for Abby.  I expect she'll do such a good job on this one that Victor will ask her to design matching shrouds for him and Nikki to wear on the nights they haunt the graveyard.

I'm wondering why Jill will be back in town for Abby's wedding.  Why would she want to celebrate the wedding of her ex-granddaughter-in-law to the guy she cheated on her grandson with?  She better not be getting them a gift since they're squatting rent free in her house.

LOL.  Absolute perfect description of this silly set-up.  While Nate fills out a pair of jeans like a pro, there's nothing particularly special about his character for Damien to aspire to.  He's a serial cheater, formerly a surgeon with a god complex, now a businessman at his cousin's company.  Not bad by GC standards, but not exactly Man of the Year material anywhere else.

Poor Devon pretty much had to ask him to be best man.  There's nobody else I can think of, other than maybe Mariah who is even his friend.  At least he's not stuck with having to ask Nick.

It's a big, GC high society wedding, plus Jill and Devon will always be connected via Chancellor and Kay. I think they kind of had to invite Jill because it would've looked more weird if they hadn't.

Chance. If Devon had asked him to be the best man to set a good example for Dominic that would've been hilariously stupid. I imagine Summer is invited since she's a Newman so Chance will likely be her date. Man, that wedding is going to be roomful of awkward.

With two husbands behind her, I find Abby's gushing imitation of a virgin bride-to-be with wedding day jitters really irritating - - this is her THIRD trip down the aisle, and this marriage will be with the man she cheated on husband #2 with, so this is when you have a quietly dignified wedding ceremony with a close circle of family and friends present, not a blow-out extravaganza with 100+ guests to watch you walk down the aisle on your daddy's arm and vow your undying love and devotion to husband #3 - any bets on who's going to be lucky husband #4, I'd say Kyle, but I believe Wisconsin has a law against aunts marrying nephews.

Grace Kelly meets Audrey Hepburn?  How boring.  Was this reference done, assuming the audience are Boomers or cuz the writers are Boomers -- or would Gen Z'ers (or even Millenials) get this?

Idk, my 20-something niece says that Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's wedding dress is all the rage for inspiration among her friends.  So while I know zilch about this topic, I know more than these stinky/clueless writers!

Audra should be used to by now, the stank-faces EVERYONE in GC gives her whenever she shows up anywhere.  Who the heck is gonna give her a job?

Er, has everyone in GC forgotten just who Jill is?  Apparently so.  I couldn't care less about Devon or Abby, but bring that stupid wedding on, so we can get Jill back to raise some hell!

Yeah, who the heck else could Devon ask to be his best man?  He has no friends cuz he's a hostile, angry, charmless little creep.

No loopy Sharon or screeching Phyllis.  YAY, it's a good day, but a ho-hum ep.  Lily was overly confident & pissy.  And Nikki was overly confident, snooty & sour-faced.  And Vic says he's moving on from his vengeance schemes on Jackie.  Yeah, right.  Whatevs.

I'm fond of take-no-prisoners Lily, and I love her verbal takedowns of NIkki and Victor.  But does she really think Jill is going to put her back in charge after Lily attempted to sell out Chancellor to Victor so she could get her old job back?

If she hadn't done that, I think Jill would have bounced her baby boy Billy out on his flat ass but I don't think she'll do that now and I especially don't think she'll reward Lily for attempting an end run around her with Victor's help.

I would love for Lily to win something and not go back to work for her brother.  I hate all this assumed servitude to a predestined career based on a dead relative's business and even more subservience to that banal piety of "_______ would have wanted it this way".   With all the respect that sentiment deserves, let me give it a hearty "Who Gives a Fcuk". Just let Lily thumb her nose at all the boys who think they know better than her.

any bets on who's going to be lucky husband #4,

Just a thought: Abby's husband #4 could be Billy Abbott, because while Ashley was Dina Mergeron's daughter, her father was Brent Davis, and while Billy was John Abbott's son, his mother was Jill Foster Abbott, so they are not biologically related.

Just because it would absolutely ruin any Abbott Christmas going forward,

Grace Kelly meets Audrey Hepburn?  How boring.  Was this reference done, assuming the audience are Boomers or cuz the writers are Boomers -- or would Gen Z'ers (or even Millenials) get this?

That's a good point. I only recognized the Kelly and Hepburn references because of comparisons that were made to Diana Spencer and Kate Middleton's dresses. It seemed like a an odd reach but I guess Y&R's audience still largely tends to be older.

Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's wedding dress is all the rage

This surprises me. Carolyn was only a thing for the relatively few years she and JFK Jr. were married. Her dress basically looked like a slip to me (sorry, not sorry, designer Narisco Rodriguez). I bet Carolyn mainly wanted to head off any easy comparisons to her fashion icon MIL's first wedding gown. Her dress had a simple elegance vibe whereas IMO Jackie's was giving "making sure everybody knows we're the elites."

My niece said Carolyn's dress was spotlighted in Vogue & Vanity Fair a year or 2 ago & that brought attention to it, maybe cuz it's so opposite to the poufy/billowy overdone look of Grace Kelly/Audrey Hepburn/Princess Diana dresses.  Anyhoo, guess we can expect to see lot of one-shoulder sparkly things at the wedding?

Seeing Jill again reminds me of Jess's love of chunky jewelry.  Man, she really worked those chunky, chunky, chunky necklaces & bracelets, eh?  Guess we can expect to see her lugging some chunky-ass giganto necklace at the wedding?

Oh no, Vail did hint in an interview that she might be back . . . and I shrugged it off as wishful thinking.  Hopefully, this is a brief appearance as a ghostie cuz I can't stand her shitty acting.  Btw, dream Nick is as dull & boring as real Nick.

Was Billy wearing Johnny's leather jacket?  Looked ridiculously too small on him.  What the heck was Sharon wearing?  Oh, and she's back with the Lisa Loopner hair.  Lisa Loopner hair = Sharon is nuttier than usual.

Watch out . . . Lils continues to be pissy!

Girl, no! That dress is iconic and has been 'in the spotlight' since the day photos of it hit the news stands (remember news stands?!?)! Yes it looks akin to a slip, but it is a gorgeous style and very modern yet classic, sort of like a modern Roman toga gown, if you will. I love that dress and she wore the hell out of it.

I'm with you guys upthread, why would Natey Nate Nate just up and accept what this stranger is telling him? Stranger Danger Natey! Get a clue, and hire Audra to look into this, because that she does well!

I too dont get how Victor and Nikki are going to wrest AC away from Jill. They do not own a majority share do they? I don't think so. So HOW exactly do they think they are going to swoop in and take control? None of this makes any damn sense and yet JG is allowed by the CBS brass to run with story lines that have zero basis in reality. It's like they want the show to fail so they can cancel it.

Er, btw, Lils, giving ultimatums to Jill?  Not a good idea.  A little of the pissy attitude is OK -- but you're going overboard with it, hun.  Luv that Jill said she knows how to handle Vic.  Now they both seem to know how to handle each other.  Um, OK then.

And isn't it interesting that Lils brought up the lost deal to Jill, but conveniently left out that she's the cause of the deal being lost cuz she betrayed Billy & A-C and teamed up with Vic.  So Lils is now cagey AND pissy, eh?  Is she aiming to replace Sally as Audra's bestie?  They now have much in common . . .
