Ian served his time so that’s why he’s out of prison. I guess 8 years was enough punishment for all Ian’s crimes against humanity but Tara is still in prison after 3 years for a white collar crime which really wasn’t a crime.  It’s still not clear how Ian was able to get Auntie Jordan.  

 

It’s just like Billy👃 hold himself harmless and never actually take responsibility for his actions.

A Simple Recap - Saying Stupid Things

Ian Ward is a free man who used his connections and resources to pull an identity switch that allowed Jordan to escape her max security prison. All he wants in return is for Jordan to risk her newfound freedom by going out and procuring the delicious tears of Sharon’s daughters. He foolishly utters the word obedience. Jordan isn’t a naive cultist but instead a sucker for flattery. By the end of the episode, she’s been persuaded to carry out Ian’s mission of misery.

Daniel has a big mad at Sharon and is half-assedly restrained by the garbage ape. My head knows that Daniel is actually a victim, but my heart insists that he’s a schmuck from a long and undignified line of schmucks. Michael tells him to GTFO and Nick finally spirits him off to visit the hot mess in the hospital bed.

Diane decides she wants to give her job to Kyle so he’ll finally stop pouting, but Jack is like “Hell to the no. I don’t want that sneaky motherfucker creeping around the eye shadow and shit.” Not an exact quote.

Oh good, it’s more OCD PSA with Connor and Chelsea who would be better off STFU. Sally drops by Crimson Lights so Chelsea can self flagellate until everyone is uncomfortable. Sally gives her some hard truths about what assholes she and Adam are but pledges to be civil at work. Unfortunately, Sally goes off the rails with all kinds of nonsense about how Adam and Chelsea are TWU WUV FOREVAH. Hey, writer guy, repeating over and over that Adam and Chelsea are destined to reunite is no replacement for chemistry, which those faithless fuckwits utterly lack.

Adam and Billy have one of their no-winners dick measuring contests, exchanging nepo baby barbs and other trash talk. I found myself waiting for them to make out. Adam, who has blossomed into a dazzling douche flower, still blames Billy for expecting his girlfriend to be honest. You have to be a real putz to make me side with Billy, but Adam rises to the occasion.

Nick visits Phyllis in the hospital and apologizes for not believing her. Fuck outta here with this crap. Nobody wants to see that psycho get her tires pumped. Summer is confused, as usual, so Nick takes her and Daniel into the pop-up waiting room to explain. Daniel doesn’t want to hear any of it and Summer mimics him like a dumbass parrot. Daniel talks about Sharon murdering Cameron Kirsten, which are you out of your fucking mind, dude? He also blows up about Nick’s white knight complex, which is not entirely misplaced.

Michael consoles Sharon until Mariah takes over. He goes to coffee with Christine, who suggests that Phyllis will not be pleased with him for defending Sharon. Michael says he adores Phyllis, but he also knows that their friendship is a one way street to hell. Again, not an exact quote.

Billy witnesses a fake fight between Jack and Diane at the Abbott manse. He buys it completely. Billy tells his brother that he’s in a downward spiral and could disappear into his own nostrils if it continues.

Er, to the producer/writers, hate to break it to ya, but clearly ya have to be told this -- MEN DON'T GET THAT CLOSE TO EACH OTHER!  We've seen this several times before, where Adam's & Billy's lips are literally almost touching.  WTF with this?  Unless they're going for a gay moment btw those 2, this is way off.  Sheesh, there's not even that kinda chemistry btw them -- or Adam with anyone, especially Chelsea.  And speaking of Chelsea, she could so easily be written out & not missed in the least!

Oh Daniel, STFU -- what are ya gonna do . . . punch Sharon in the face?  What a loser.

Idk, Sharon has gotta be dreaming cuz Nick was NOT his usual dumb & useless self.  In fact, he was shockingly quite the opposite.  He wasn't just pulling a white knight act, he was making a lot of sense in his defense of Sharon to the 2 morons that are Daniel & Summer.

And Mikey?  Well, we got a reminder of just how humongous his ego is.  But he does like a challenge.  So yeah, he's gonna defend & help Sharon.  And while he mentioned Phyllis, to acknowledge the annoying reaction that'll predictably come from her when she wakes up (in 10 years -- please, please, please), he'll still take Sharon's case.

Ian saying "obedience" gave me the icks.  What a charmer, eh?  Yuck.

So true.  I immediately forget Chelsea exists the second she's off screen and slightly startled and completely dismayed when she reappears.  She's like Casper the Soul Sucking Ghost.

I felt my soul leaving my body when she and Connor started their PSA on whatever's a possible trigger for Connor this time and was heading for the light by the time Chelsea was praising him once again for not becoming the world's youngest serial killer.

Though, if he's at all heading in that direction, I DO have a list he can start with, and they're all within walking distance.....

Speaking of heading towards the light, is there any way Phyllis could be nudged more quickly in that direction?  Though I suppose the Powers on the Other Side must be pushing her back in our direction as forcefully as we shove her towards them.

Every time Daniel starts thundering retribution I've taken to remembering him stalking around town in that Big Blue Shirt that hung down to his knees, the one that made him look like he'd dressed himself for kindergarten and it brings a smile to my face.......Good times, ah yes, good times.......

My favorite part of Daniel’s avenging angel shtick is that he thinks he has any say in whether Sharon serves hard time in a supermax or gets bundled off to a psychiatric hospital. 

Daniel will never forgive Sharon. Oh noes! Cassie’s death set off a chain of events leading to Summer’s existence, so guess what, buddy? No one will ever forgive you either.

A quick change of subject since the holidays are near. I have noticed that most all of the romantic couplings in the Hallmark Christmas Movies have more chemistry than any of the relationships on this show. That is really something.

We get Ian, Aunt Jordan - not a couple but a terrible (to me) storyline, whatever pairing, so far, that might come from the Neal storyline, Victoria and Cole, Adam and Chelsea, Claire and Kyle, etc.  No fun or fireworks. No smoldering - although I do think that Sally and Billy have a possibility. Yikes! We sure could use some believable romance that keeps you wanting to see how it goes. 

And I will never again mention that Sharon Case has had no storyline for ages.  🙄

Arriving late to yesterday's episode party:

When Sally walked into the coffeehouse, Chelsea was eyeballing her like, "Here we go again." Right there with ya, Chelz.

Loved Diane's long coat. Are those back in style?

Michael and Nick should not have let Daniel and Sharon interact. No good was ever going to come of it.

I will never understand how Adam has the stones to say anything rude to Billy ever. There are no bygones for killing someone's child.

I think Chelsea's another one who needs to stay away from the person she harmed by her selfish behavior. Guess Chelsea counts on Sally's own messy past to give her the semblance of grace.

Identity swap. Well it's been a while since Y&R used the doppelgänger ruse. Hopefully we'll never have to see Jordan's ersatz twin. IMO CZ eats enough scenery as it is. 😈

Good grief, Chelsea, shut up! AFAIC Sally doesn't need to keep being a cheerleader for you and Adam.

It's clear Jordan and Ian don't truly trust each other. Yep, no honor among psycho criminals. Or obedience.

Wow.  When the ruse is revealed, Billy is gonna be even more pissed at Jack for not trusting him and letting him in on the big fake.  I'm beginning to feel sorry for Billy.  (!!!)
