Season 16 Live Feed Discussion: Keeping an Eye Out

  • Start Topic

Recommended Posts

It's a huge pet peeve of mine that the prize money hasn't changed in 14 years.   $500K in in 2000 is worth almost $700K in 2014.  I wonder if the stipends have gone up at all for inflation?

For the most part I've tolerated Frankie, probably because I am rarely firing up the feeds this summer, but last night his "expert" explanation of men being born gay and women choosing to be gay made me want to scream at the screen. I don't know if it was him spewing so much misinformation as fact rather than opinion or the dumbass hgs who took it as fact that pissed me off more.  Ugh.

Thats the worst part IMO.  Somehow people have marked Frankie as the expert on sexuality because he is homosexual, so therefore, he must know!  First, I think its a little stereotypical to assume that the person who is a homosexual is the authority on sexuality, but maybe understandable.  Second, you know someone like Caleb, who isn't a fast thinker is going to simply take this as gospel and spread it around to anyone he knows.  That apparently men can't change their sexuality, but women decide to be lesbians, so there is a chance that an awesome guy like Caleb or his friends can "turn a girl around"  And anytime he is confronted about how that theory sounds stupid, he will let people know that a gay guy told him so it must be true.  And that goes double for any portion of the viewing audience that figures that a gay guy must know whats up with sexuality.

Never mind that there are men who have gotten into a same sex relationship after years of being with women.  But because Frankie isn't a woman, he knows that those guys were really gay all along, but the women who get into a same sex relationship after years of being with men, just chose to be lesbians.

I'm not so sure that it bothers Cody at all.  Or Caleb for that matter.  Notice Frankie never 'snuggles' or cuddled or molests Derrick or Donny or Hayden.  I can't remember about Devin.

I remember him hugging Devin, but Devin had a mild case of the crazy eyes, and he was way bigger and devious than Caleb.  I couldn't see him doing that to Devin, or Devin putting up with that, but maybe in the feeds he was fine with it.

.You must not have seen the screencap of Derrick laying in bed, holding Frankie in his arms, headphones on and something that looked like a pacifier in his mouth.  Frankie is looking up at him with adoring eyes and a sickening sweet smile on his face.  I hope Derrick's cop friends make 20 copies of the screencap and post it all over the police station and razz the hell out of him.

eta: Thanks TexasChic for posting that!

Goodness, I hope it wasn't a Ring Pop.  I always associate those with teenage girls that want to look sexy, not grown ass men with no eyebrows.

In Zach's interview with Jeff, he said that he played along and tolerated all the handsy stuff from Frankie because he wanted to win $500K. He said that to win the money, he was OK with letting Frankie kiss his neck. I always got the feeling that Zach was the guy who had the least problem with Frankie being so touchy feely but that Caleb and Cody didn't really mind it because Frankie also tells them how hot they are all the time and those two eat that stuff up. I think it's sort of like Christine letting Frankie have the HOH room all week instead of kicking him out -- just isn't worth potentially upsetting the special snowflake and have him turn on you. The one scene I did catch on the feeds (and I think someone on this forum posted a screen shot from the scene), was Frankie jumping on Zach and sticking his face into Zach's crotch, when Zach pushed him off laughing, Frankie started licking or kissing Zach's nipple. Zach laughed and pushed him off and covered his nipple with his hand. This was in front of a group sitting in the living room and Caleb was laughing it up. That was the one where I wouldn't have blamed Zach a bit if he had gotten a bit rough with Frankie or at least told him to knock it off. I think Frankie was playing it for laughs but I also wonder if Frankie kind of knows he can get away with this stuff  while in the house with these three attractive guys and takes advantage.

I predicted a while back that once Zach got eliminated he would start to claim that he is totally straight and all that sexual stuff with Frankie was just gameplay.  But I'm not sure I'm sold on that.

Hey, assholes: you're so happy about it being 6 against 1 next week - have any of you thought about what happens the following week?  BB is not the Top Six Win!  Only one wins, and you stupid lemmings are not only handing the win to Derrick, but you're making it really freaking boring to watch along the way.  And by the way, you can't all win - time to start thinking about jury votes and late-game comps.  Assholes.

A F2 name for Frankie & Caleb should be the "Bloated Colons".   Because they're both so full of shit [& themselves].

Bwah! Most accurate alliance name imaginable.

Frankie's Joey was actually a little better than I was expecting - at least he had her facial expressions down pretty good.

Donny's Devin was funny - and no, I'm NOT just saying that because he's my guy. I think even the other HGs were tripping. Had Devin's face tics and expressions down pat.

Granted, I didn't watch all of Frankie's because after a few seconds his famewhoring broke me, and I forwarded through the rest, but he seemed to have a forced smile on his face while Donny was up. Seems like Donny's got a lot of laughs, and that attentionwhore didn't seem too thrilled about that.

I so wish Frankie was having that conversation about homosexuality with a group of gay people, so that the malarky coming out of his mouth could have been checked. The straight houseguests probably thought they shouldn't argue with the only gay dude there. I noticed Donny seemed to have a better understanding of what bisexuality is when he commented about how there are probably a lot of gray areas in between straight and gay. But of course, at the end of the day™, Frankie is the authority on all things homosexual.

Just wait.  One of these days, Frankie will surely say; "I am gay, therefore, I know gay.   Oh, and I'm a social media mogul, and my sister is Ariana Grande.  So trust me.  I'm an expert on just about everything!  [woman's accent] Oh stop selling yourself short, Rose!!"

Cody and Caleb now making rumblings about getting Christine out.  They are not implying this week, just noting that she is riding on their coat tails.  Easy to predict that.

I am sorry to hear the pressure cooker comp was nixed for this year. That is my favorite endurance.

Cody to Caleb: Nicole would never come after me or you. ... But she has to go next week. NT

This is funny. If I remember correctly Nicole told Donny, at the kitchen table last night, that they were her targets.

Her days are numbered but it would be fun to see them all scramble if she won HOH on Thursday.  It would love to watch them all suck up and make promises they will not keep.  This is the only thing left that would offer us some entertainment.

That makes sense and there aren't enough left in the house to have it be interesting.  This double HOH will be dropped next season, it was a failure.

I FFed through BBAD this morining and didn't stop to listen to anything but saw the gist.  I like that production did not particularly like this idea for TA.  I am curious as to how they are going to handle it.  From reading about it I know why.  It is mean spirited and not funny.  They could just call it a fail and not air it or put it up for a vote as they intended or give them another chance to do something else?  I don't care, really.

I made a good call this year on not getting the feeds.  Bravo self!

Well, well.. Christine is now rubbing Derrick.  And the cameramen are doing a great job of focusing in on it.  This girl may have issues.

maybe it'll make her husband feel better.  Like maybe she has some sort of personality disorder that forces her to rub whatever man is nearby.

Derrick doesn't think anyone would have the balls to put Cody & Derrick on the block together. NT

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!  We shall see.

Sorry, Derrick, but that's a really dumb statement.  If both were put up together, there's a great chance one of them goes home (or the JH, whatever).

And its not about "not having the balls" to do it;  its just that none of these lemmings are smart enough to actually do it.

The person who would "dare" to put them up would be praised and the jury would respect that as good game play.   We really need a cast of super fans or all stars next year.

On another board they called Victoria the house plant and the reason she likes Derrick is because he is the only one who waters her and takes her out of the harsh western sun and moves her to an east window!

It's funny how few posts are in the Live Feed Highlights thread.   Perhaps it should have been named "Lowlights" this season.  That surely would have garnered more posts.

I think they are using the format from TWOP, only comp/ceremony info/results are posted there.

I honestly stopped caring about watching the live feeds as soon as Zach left and it'll only grow once Donny and Nicole leave. This season is too boring; I'm all for playing your own game, doing what's best for you and not the audience, or at least I was until I saw how predictable this season was becoming starting with Devin's eviction, ironically. Unless Nicole wins HOH next week and sends Derrick or Cody packing, I'm not sure what can be done to save this season for me. The show is not promising the 'most twisted summer ever'. They haven't provided any twists, besides the Team America twist. Oh, and the 'Nobody Gives a Shit About Ariana Grande's Brother' twist. So really, Big Brother has lied about it being the most twisted summer ever and even though I usually hate production interference (I was super annoyed when it happened to Frank), but if that's what it takes to liven up the season, then I needed it, like, last week.

  • Love 6

I don't know if it's even possible for production to rig something that will save this season from being completely boring and predictable. Even if Donny and/or Nicole got some special power to save them for a week, what difference would it make? It doesn't seem that any of these people are going to stray from the course Derrick has laid out no matter what. I don't see how Derrick will ever be voted out even if, by some miracle, he ended up on the block. At this point, every person in there, with the possible exceptions of Cody and Caleb, knows that Derrick is going to win, yet none of them even wants to target him. Victoria and Cody think they're going to the end with him, so I guess it makes some sense for them to just continue with the program, but I can't figure out what the others are thinking. I think Caleb is so delusional that he thinks he'll win all the comps at the end and/or will continue to be protected by his alliance because he's so awesome. Frankie and Christine seem to be going with the "fingers crossed" strategy, hoping that somehow things will shake out in their favor without having any kind of specific plan. I think those two might vote Derrick out if someone else got all the blood on their hands and it was presented as basically a fait accompli where they could say they're just going along with the house. Except Derrick will never be in that position since there's no one but Donny who would ever have the guts to put him up and Donny would never be able to mobilize the house against him.

I wonder what Derrick's real endgame plan is. It seems that he wants to go to F3 with Cody and Vic since either of them would take him to F2. The only problem I see with that is that Derrick wouldn't want to win HOH at F3 and have to get blood on his hands evicting one of his game-long F2s, so he'd most likely throw it. It's highly unlikely that Victoria would win, so that would put him in F2 with Cody. I think Derrick will easily beat Cody in F2, but Derrick is playing very conservatively and does not like leaving anything to chance. There is a chance that Cody would get more votes- he's "popular" in the house and if jurors finally realize that their good buddy Derrick was calling all the shots, they might vote for Cody instead. I don't think that would happen, but I'm sure Derrick has considered that possibility in his paranoid, always-in-game-mode mind, so it's hard for me to believe that he really wants to take Cody that far. There is a risk in taking Vic to F3 with anyone because there's a (probably slight) chance that the third hamster would wise up and take Vic to F2 instead of Derrick. So Derrick needs someone dumb/loyal enough to take him to F2 over Vic who is also no threat to beat him in F2. That sounds like Caleb. Has Derrick discussed a F2 deal with him?

I'm so sad about Derrick being compared to Boston Rob. Rob is so great and Derrick is... Derrick.

My favorite thing Rob ever did was on the Amazing Race. They had a task where they were supposed to eat a huge plate of meat and Rob quickly realized he couldn't do it. He then systematically convinced every person who was doing it that it was impossible and that they should all quit and take the 4 hour "quit the task" penalty. And they all did it! Even people who were already started he convinced them to stop and start their penalty time immediately so they wouldn't be too far behind.

This was a group of people who he was not allied with, who knew he was a schemer from seeing him on Survivor, and still did it! Btw, the task wasn't impossible, some people who arrived later did it and moved on.

Anyhow, I think the BR charm cannot be underestimated. Derrick has done a great job this season making everyone trust him, but he's no Boston Rob.

Derrick has no charm.  He is controlling like BR but without any likability.  At least on Survivor the teams knew BR was in charge.  These idiots think they're making "team choices" when it's actually "Derrick choices".

Drew and Nick...

Neither was out while they were on BB.

Does Frankie think he's so adorable and desirable that he can turn straight guys gay?

Absolutely.

I'm not so sure that it bothers Cody at all.  Or Caleb for that matter.  Notice Frankie never 'snuggles' or cuddled or molests Derrick or Donny or Hayden.  I can't remember about Devin.

Frankie has done it with every guy except Donny. Towards the beginning he was on Hayden a lot, but then he just kinda stopped. He was definitely very cuddly with Devin.

I think both Jeff and Janelle got more money than 2nd place by finishing 3rd and winning America's favorite plus bonuses.

Jeff never finished 3rd. Thankfully! Although it might've been fun if he got that far and then was cut. This is what I hope happens to Derrick. That would be so beautiful to me.

I'd bet that Frankie's stipend is more than the others. Just the vets were paid more than the newbies on coaches' season and Elyssa last year.

I never thought about this, but I bet you're right. I'm surprised none of the HGs have wondered about that. Although maybe they have and are just afraid to openly say it. They used to whine about it last year all the time. But then they were real assholes and Elissa was like their Donny so.

Donny and Christine are walking around the back yard together and she is sooo chatty with him, talking about church, Tim, Kristine, fast food outlets back home, etc.  Less than a month ago she was 'friendly' with him and now she just HATES him sooo much!

She still acts friendly to his face. She just talks about killing him when she's with the others. I believe Christine started all the "Donny's a pervert. He's soooo scary! I wanna kill him." right after Nicole told her Donny tried to get her put up when Nicole won HOH. Of course, I can see why she would start targeting him after that, but why she had to go full-on mean girl personal insults, I don't know.

How are they not stopping this (the yelling over the fence)? Why hasn't it happened before this season? I'm suspicious.

I find it very strange, too. Why has there pretty much never been any instances of people screaming stuff over the fence before? I'm suspicious that Production is OK with it because they are bored, too. But then again why the fuck didn't they rig this shit already then! They've probably tried, but AG puts a stop to it because she loves Frankie and Derrick so much.

I know I think I am too after Donny and Nicole. I wanted him gone at the beginning of the season. Now I think he's he least worst out of the rest of them. I am shaking my head at this development!$

Do I think Derrick is doing an awesome job. Yes I do. He has completely mind warped all of them. It's unreal. I hope for a shake up and something to save Donny and Nicole and if not at least Nicole winning HOH next week and her following through with her plan to put Derrick and Cody up.

Otherwise I guess we will just have to watch them all start to going after eachother but they will all continue to protect Derrick and let him coast to the final 2 with Victoria.

Part of me hopes that Cody does leave in the final 6 or 5 so that Donny can be like I told you so in the Jury house lol.

It's funny that tonight his sister opens the VMAs while he is insisting on doing a play no one wants to see on a reality show with a steadily decreasing viewership.

Are the ratings declining? I hope so! I wouldn't be surprised. I've seen a lot of people say they have stopped watching. Against my better judgement, I watched Sunday's ep, but no more. That was awful! I can't do it anymore! And I have watched every episode of every season, including season 1. This season is the worst.

The guy who does the competitions said on twitter he almost had Pressure Cooker on the approve list for this season, but left it out.

Dammit! Why, Production Guy, why?! I hate you!

Apparently the reason there has not been a lot of endurance competitions this year was because of BOB and the short turn around it would be according to the guy who does the competitions on Twitter.

That does make sense. They'll probably start them now though then, I'd assume. I'm think maybe this week will be either 'tea cups' or 'stand on this small ledge on a wall.'

He is going to be very surprised when he looks at their poll.

The thought of Derrick going home and seeing that he's in the last 5/6 on Joker's every week gives me so much joy.

I don't think she would. The only way Nicole would win is against Victoria. She could possibly beat Christine, but I kinda doubt it.

I wonder what Derrick's real endgame plan is.

This is really the only potentially interesting thing left to consider. I assume Derrick wants F3 with Victoria/Caleb because he assumes (and is correct) that they'd both take him and that he can throw final HOH and not have to get Blood On His Hands. Like you said, with Cody, there's somewhat of a chance he could beat Derrick in the end. Actually, Cody is probably the only person left who might be able to beat Derrick at the end. Maybe Frankie if he wins a bunch of comps to get there.

As boring as this season has been, I'm looking forward to the Detonators cannibalizing each other.

I don't think it'll be that interesting. Derrick will still (and probably even more so actually) control every week/the boot order and everyone will just calmly accept his decisions.

ETA: Can we all agree to vote for TA to not get any money for that awful play? I want Donny to get as much as possible, but I just wanna see Frankie's reaction to America basically saying that he sucks. I'm sure he'll just find a way to rationalize it though, but that'll be fun, too.

She has Jocasta/Hayden/Donny's vote and I think she would have Zachs depending on who she is up against. He said in a few interviews he is hoping Her or Donny make it to the end. It's possibly after Hayden tells him what Derrick/Cody did to him that he votes for someone else. She just would need one more vote to win. Cody is actually fascinating from a 'case study in cognitive dissonance' standpoint:  I honestly think Cody is, on a deep level, aware that he has no shot at winning because of his propping up Derrick's game, but he can't reconcile how he's been so completely snowed that, at this stage...no matter what information people throw at him, his own internal narrative will not allow him to realize how easily he's been played.

It really is fascinating how someone can, literally have clues smashed into their skulls so often and still not have even one come close to sticking.

I honestly believe the cannot allow himself to realize how bad his game has been, and so even the most Titanic of clues that rams into his iceburg of a head is going to go unscathed.

They laughed about the fact that they decide what's going to happen and then just tell Caleb what to do and he does it. Also, Christine was commenting how uncomfortable Victoria is making her by touching Derrick. Christine thinks they was she touches him is almost sexual.

rams into his iceburg of a head

When I read this, I "literally" saw a head of iceberg lettuce perched on his shoulders.

Didn't even finish watching last night's show; too samo-samo, boring. Plus the return of Nicoles screechy voice was too much to take.  Frankie's famewhoring has become completely lamewhoring, and it sounds like it's only going to get worse with the Play That Must Not Be Seen.  Aside from keeping up here, I'm out for the season.

I am actively rooting for Derrick at this point.  None of the rest of them even remotely seem to think about strategy, long term game, etc.  Frankie is maybe the least dumb, but he is also going to heavily rely on his ability to win competitions to get further.  I think Frankie is the one they should get out in DE if possible because he can't campaign.  If they waste the DE on Christine, they are complete morons.

Saw this on another forum regarding the yelling into the backyard:

It was someone from Sucks that yelled. The whole spiel was:

Frankie is the Saboteur. The Saboteur is Frankie.
He's lying to everyone and can't be trusted.
Christine is hated by America.
Derrick, stop being the fun police. It's a TV show and you're not on duty.
Caleb, you're trusting the wrong people. Frankie will stab you in the back.

Nicole's screechy voice was too much to take.

I like Nicole but she does have an unfortunate voice. Someone in this forum mentioned that she can sometimes sound like Sarah Palin with her accent and especially for me when she says  "depressin" instead of "depressing," for example. The other day I had the sound on but wasn't watching and she was excited about something and her voice was higher pitched than usual and I swear it sounded like Victoria Jackson from SNL, which was very disturbing

I honestly think Cody is, on a deep level, aware that he has no shot at winning because of his propping up Derrick's game, but he can't reconcile how he's been so completely snowed that, at this stage...no matter what information people throw at him, his own internal narrative will not allow him to realize how easily he's been played.

I think denial is a huge part of what's driving (or not driving) Cody, but I think he's also afraid to give up on the easy route that Derrick is offering him. I think Cody has found that thinking and strategizing are hard work and more than he anticipated before he got into the house. Derrick has made things a lot easier for him by being a trusted sounding board/ear to bend and, even more importantly, by telling Cody what to do. Cody likes the drama of "strategizing" in the sense of talking shit, hashing out what's going on, etc., but, at the end of the day, he always goes along with whatever Derrick tells him to. Derrick constantly says stuff like, "You can't trust anyone in here completely, not even me, because we're all trying the win the money for ourselves..." It's part of his "I'm such an honest and straightforward guy" schtick. That should be a clue to Cody that he should be thinking for himself, but... thinking is hard.
