I know I had all my wisdom teeth removed in the dentist's office with a local anesthetic because they had already broken through the gum.  Painful but no more painful than a root canal.  This is when removal of wisdom teeth can be a problem (from the interwebs):

 

Impacted wisdom teeth are third molars at the back of the mouth that don't have enough room to emerge or grow normally. 

 

That's when you have to have surgery that requires general anesthesia, I think.  If that was the case, Victoria might have to leave the game.

Yea, I think typically it's not a big deal unless they're impacted

 

Victoria most likely just has an abscessed tooth and they'll give her antibiotics. Too bad, I was really hoping she'd have to leave and that it would save Donny/Nicole. I just need anything to save this awful season!

 

Since Donny no longer has to hide his medical degree, he's just letting it all hang out there!

ETA: I really could've done without hearing the convo Derrick/Victoria just had where they discussed a naked photo shoot with Jana and pornography.

I feel the need to know the context of this because I find it weird.  Of all the artists to talk about, Thomas Kinkade?

 

I want to think he knows Bob Ross because of Epic Rap Battles of History, that's how I do, but Kincade makes me wonder.

I remember my wisdom teeth breaking through in my early 20's. It's like teething, it's hurts, but it's more of an irritation then anything. Years later I had them removed. They were impacted, so they gave me something that knocked me out. I was laid up a couple of days afterwards.

 

I have also experienced an abscessed tooth. My cheek got all swollen and I looked like a chipmunk. I had to take antibiotics for a couple of days and then have it pulled.

 

ETA - The abscessed tooth came on suddenly. I had a root canal on the tooth a couple of years prior, and had no idea anything was wrong with it. It started hurting and swelling at the same time.

I can't believe I've been sitting here for over an hour watching Derrick build his "Transfer of Power" sculpture out of skewers. Where the hell have I gone wrong with my life? Can we have Zach back for a few minutes? Just let him run in, smack the hell out of the skewers, and then run out giggling. It would be more entertaining than Victoria talking about naked photoshoots with Derrick's wife.

Had all four of mine chopped out a few years ago. I don't remember it being much more than uncomfortable (except for one that kept trying to go dry socket, and that didn't hurt so much as it pissed me off). Of course, different people have different pain tolerances....

It would be more entertaining than Victoria talking about naked photoshoots with Derrick's wife.

Sounds like Vic will be flipping her switches tonight.

I have so much respect for Donny for being a gentleman throughout this whole mess.  If I was his girlfriend, I'd be crying every day because of how sad and lonely he is.  Yes, Yes I know that he knew what he was getting into, but I doubt he expected to be ostracized the way he has been.  If I had his home address, I'd like to write him a letter when this is all over.  I just wish he'd shave that doggone beard ... I hate it.

 

Wonder what happens to the fish when the season is over?  Maybe Frankie eats them.....on little skewers.....with his mouth open.

LOL. No. Nothing. Just Derrick building with wood skewers for like 17 days, Caleb copying him, and some really gross sex talk with Derrick/Victoria.

 

Apparently Cody said to Nicole, "You're so much cuter now that you're with Hayden." This coupled with his Christine weirdness and I'm staring to wonder if he has a thing for women in relationships.

WHY?! Why couldn't I have had the satisfaction of someone smashing the shit out of the skewer sculpture? I sat there for at least an hour and a half watching him build the stupid thing AND THEN HE JUST CASUALLY TAKES IT APART?!

This season. These people. JUST ONE THING TO ENTERTAIN ME! I don't know who I'm more angry at: Derrick for taking it apart or me for sitting there and watching the damned thing being built.

I actually had 6 wisdom teeth removed. It was general anesthesia but I bounced back and didn't even take pain medication afterwards. And I was paralyzed once. I could go head to head with Caleb on stories...

A friend of mine never got feeling back in half her tongue after her wisdom teeth were removed, so there can be major complications. Victiria would probably have to leave the game if it came to that.

Caleb, Frankie, and Derrick are in the Fire Room.  I guess Donny's in the Have Not room, and Nicole is at the table playing with the skewers.

I think Nicole should go walk to the Have Not room, hold the door open and say loud enough for Derrick, Caleb, and Frankie to hear "Hey Donny...Cody said we could meet with him now about our plan."

Cody: "I'm not crazy smart, but I'm not stupid. I graduated with a 3.0." In what, fingerpainting and Beginner Vocabulary? I'm surprised this kid got past elementary school, let alone through college. 

You'd be amazed (or maybe not) how college athletes can skate through school.  It's rarely a problem making grades and but let's just say they often leave without an education.  I'm guessing this was probably the case with Cody. 

 

 

This made me think about how they could perhaps help ensure that the HGs actually got out of bed and were given incentives to be more active and participate so we weren’t just watching a bunch of disgusting slugs laze around, trash talk and sleep the whole time. Maybe if BB only gave them slop and some other food basics to start with and then made them complete various tasks to earn other food items things might be more interesting to watch and it may even change the dynamic in the house a bit, especially if they all had to work together to ‘earn’ something. If they told the HGs that they could get a steak dinner if they all participated in cleaning the bathroom or that they could have tuna steaks (something apparently critical for Frankie’s survival) added as regular food item if a certain number of them all did 20 laps around the back yard, etc. it might make for more compelling viewing at least and may possibly influence to some (small) extent who teams up with who and for what reason.

Didn't they used to do this?  I think I remember when they played "food comps" to determine the groceries for the week.  And on Thursdays they had to clean the house for the live show (and because someone should) but now they just lock the HGs in the HOH Thursday mornings and send in a cleaning crew.  

 

 

One thing I thought hysterical on the feeds was Cody saying he thought Donny was a "Harvard medical doctor."

 

I'm not surprised.  In this House of Dumbasses, any  40 year old with some manners and the ability to pay attention could be mistaken for a Harvard educated MD.   Not that Donny isn't smart, he just might be, but I also think Cody has proven he is as dumb as he is was pretty - at least before that haircut. 

 

I feel for Victoria.  A bad toothache, for whatever reason, makes everything suck.

That happened to me!  I've never heard of this happening to anybody else.  So weird, and it's AWFUL.  Right after it happened and for the longest time, I would be biting on my tongue when I ate and not even realize it because there was no feeling.  It looked awful, like half-eaten raw meat.  Is that gross enough for you?  It's been nearly 40 years and it's gotten a little better but still, there's really no feeling.

Speaking to the wisdom tooth issue for Victoria...  Poor thing.  I'm not sure she'd need to DOR just to have her wisdom teeth removed.  If only one of them was breaking through the gum, abscessed or infected then the dentist could perform oral surgery to remove just that one tooth.  It would likely put her on bed rest for at least a day or two, with some heavy doses of Vicodin or something, but she'd probably be up and about within a day or two.  At least, that's how it played out for me when I had to have emergency oral surgery to remove a wisdom tooth that broke through my gum a little over 5 years ago.  Talk about a mad scramble that was - I'd been laid off, it was the last week of the month with my health insurance expiring and even though I live in a major metropolitan area, finding an oral surgeon who had an opening THAT week was a minor miracle.

As far as finding a dentist on a Friday evening.  This is LA we're talking about and a major studio.  I'm pretty sure, with the right financial incentive, they could find a dentist willing to see her.

Does anyone else find it disgusting when Derrick talks? I mean, besides the actual words that are coming out of his mouth, his voice is so phlegmy and gross. Clear your throat, dude! Drives me nuts.

Only 3 people are drinking Christine, Victoria and Cody so I doubt it.

Just another reason - amongst a vast plethora of them - to not miss watching the feeds every chance I got, like I was.

 

ETA:  Maybe his voice is just naturally 'phlegmy'.  He pretty much never clears his throat (or at least he didn't when I was watching before), no matter how mucusly clogged his voice box sounds.

 

ETAA:  I do think it might have a little something to do with the mic being so close to his mouth and the amplifying, because his DRs don't sound near as phlegmy.

I want all of these people to drink as much wine as they can (since I didn't see Donny drinking anything). And then have veto be early tomorrow. I still remember the season Dan won when they gave a bunch of wine the night before a key veto, and Keesha and Remmy got drunk off it, and blew their game and my rooting interest by blowing the veto, which I believe was at least in part due to being hungover.

But honestly, I don't want any producer shenanigans. If Donny or Nicole leave this week, it's because they didn't make the necessary alliances or build trust, and didn't win the comps. While it might make me sad, I don't want this show even more rigged because honestly, it takes away from my joy when my favorites do pull out a comp, or vote switch, or anything on their own.

Offering people alcohol the night before an important comp? Perfectly acceptable. Handing Donny and/or Nicole a free pass, no matter how much they dress it up, or call it a silly name? Not cool in my book. I know this show is boring right now, but I just want to let it play out.

Christine has picked up the "literally" bug I see. Now Christine & Cody could both be shopping channel hosts! In case you haven't noticed, the word is constantly used & misused on QVC & HSN.

So, where did Christine end up sleeping last night? Did her & Frankie make a Cody sandwich? 

I'll say one thing, Kristine had better be awfully darn good to our Donny when he gets home. There's bound to be a whole passel of women out that that would love nothing more than to run their fingers through that beard! If I were about 17 years younger, I'd haul my butt to NC and give her a run for her money! ;-)

ETA: Also, if I were single, which I'm not. Shucks, I forgot about dear hubby!  lol  j/k of course. I'm sure though that there's a lot of women his age who have gone through the "gotta have a pretty boy, but he treats me like crap" stage and are looking for a really nice man, which Donny is.

Its shit like this makes me hate all the non-Donny HGs.  If you want to defeat a specific person, game-wise, that's more than fine.  But to verbally mock threaten and talking about doing things that would get you thrown in jail is just showing how immature and stupid they really are as individuals.
