  1. Anybody else still watching this but me?
  2. I thought Rebecca's reaction to Jack's death was well acted. My sister in law died instantaneously in a head on auto collision and when my brother called me to tell me I physically felt as though I had been punched in the solar plexus. I dropped to my knees and literally could not breathe. It was visceral.
  3. Saw the rerun episode this morning with Neil Patrick Harris and his hubby (whose name I can’t remember) and they were grilling some beautiful ribeyes for Ina. Anyhow, they grilled them for 7 minutes per side! Ina went on about how perfectly they were grilled, but I swear they looked medium well - oh the humanity!
  4. The green leaves really took me out of the show for a moment.
  5. Gotta just say here guys - I live in a pretty normal small town in Virginia and I know lots of pretty normal ordinary guys who never wear socks. “Chacun a son gout” and all that.
  6. I am really going to miss Sue (and the foxies)
  7. I don't know - I've always found Savannah's interviewing skills to be fine. I think TPTB were smart to go with Hoda too, at least for the short term.
  8. This morning’s show from season one featured a little less over the top Ree and some much more normal seeming recipes - and not a pepper in sight! And I’m with you, Lura, I love a gin and tonic - made with, as Ina wouldcsay, good gin!
  9. Apologies if this has been posted before - after the enormous popularity of Bud Light's "Dilly Dilly" commercials, a microbrewery made a small batch IPA called "Dilly Dilly" something or other, and the folks at Anheuser Busch got wind of it and sent the coolest possible cease and desist notice:
  10. Still showing myself out but I thought Mika's rant was justified.....
  11. I don't know - I thought Joe's comments re: Bannon were right on! That clown goes down to Alabama and brags about his elite education and puts down Joe for "only" being able to get into the University of Alabama - IN FRONT OF ALABAMIANS! How stupid. (I'll show myself out now.....)
  12. Just happened to wonder - what will they do for that segment that they do at the end of every year where they look back at all the "fun" they have had over the year? Will they just make no reference to Matt at all? Whatever they do it'll be awkward!
  13. Watching the rerun just now of the episode from last year where GZ does the stuffed crown roast of pork and Jeff does the Cornish game hens - both had me drooling!
  14. I don’t think it’s a waste of time - we have a POTUS who is literally certifiable and that shouldn’t be normalized - I think every political commentator and news reporter should be shouting it to the rooftops all day every day.
  15. That chocolate raspberry bundt cake that Katie made today starting from a mix looked absolutely fabulous!
  16. I don't mind the ad too much except that the "daughter" seems far too old to not be able to correctly enunciate the words any better than that.
  17. Haha Lura I love it when a little bit of gravy finds its way onto my cranberry sauce!
  18. Good God she has out semi-hoed Aunt Sandy. And I live in the South and I have never known or heard of anyone putting hard boiled eggs in gravy! Going from Ina to Ree is sublime to ridiculous. And I agree with Anneofcleves - I enjoy Trisha. She make food that looks tasty and she seems so genuine and down to earth. The kind of person who, after you have just met them, you feel like you’ve known for years.
  19. I’m sure it would @Lura - I am pre diabetic so I try to avoid it?
  20. Sure - here it is - it came from Pinterest I think. The original, and then my changes are in parentheses: Pizza Topping Casserole 1 lb. sausage 1/4 cup pizza sauce (I used about a cup) 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (I used three cloves of minced fresh garlic) 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning and/or basil 1/2 cup onion, chopped 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped 8 oz. can mushrooms, drained (I used fresh) 3 1/2 oz. pepperoni, chopped 16 oz. mozzarella cheese, cubed (I used shredded ) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Brown the sausage, onion, green pepper and garlic until almost done. Then add the pepperoni and then the mushrooms, drain. Add the sauce and Italian seasoning. Stir all together. Place in a 9X12 pan, top with the cheese. Bake until bubbly, about 25 minutes.
  21. I have a recipe for pizza casserole which is basically everything but the crust. - it is yummy!
  22. Is t just me, or does Leslie Abramson’s kitchen look NOTHING like an 80’s kitchen with its granite countertops and fancy faucets? It takes me right out of the story.
  23. I am diabetic and I love the cauliflower rice - it's great for making fried rice - something I had had to give up and thought I would never get to enjoy again! Same for the cauliflower mashed potatoes.
