I have a different impression of the "everybody I ran into was talking about Miss Universe's weight" thing. I think what they meant, and could have said better, was that everyone was talking about the incredibly sexist and insensitive way Trump keeps going on about her weight. I think they all seemed appropriately offended by it, and indicated that, at long last, this may be an issue that sticks and damages him, especially with millennials.

Terrible heat wave in the Northeast - Joe looks so silly with the damned sweaters when it's 95 degrees outside.

I like the relatively news free Olympic shows. If I want to hear the news, I'll look elsewhere. When the Olympics are on, I just want to feel a little bit like I'm there with friends with behind the scenes access, soaking up the local color. And Jenna Bush Hagar does not bother me at all anymore. She seems like a good natured, personable young woman. And this from someone who is, as my mother used to say "to the left of Eleanor Roosevelt".

I have noticed the same thing about her when Joe's not there.

I noticed yesterday that she didn't have her wedding ring on.

The guy's voice somehow reminds me of George Clooney, which is definitely not a bad thing if you ask me! I like the commercial right up to "reminds me of when you were you" which is super annoying!

This episode touched me - when Tony read the letter from his staffer at the end I just about lost it.. I really felt like I had been shown something of the essence of the place and its people. Well done!

Well I answered my own question - I went to YouTube to watch it again, because, you know, I just hadn't cried enough today, and several commenters who sound like they know whereof they speak say this is a real nurse and patient. I hope she is alive and well!

I was just coming here to say how much I love that commercial. It hits me right in the feels every single time I see it. I always wonder whether they are actors or actual nurse and patient.

I watch usually just the first 30 minutes or so of Morning Joe, Oakville, so I might have missed seeing them. And I was doing stuff at the beginning of Willie's new show and didn't hear who they were. BTW add me to the list of those who thank you for the MJ recaps so we don't have to suffer through the whole thing LOL!

I wanted to like the new Sunday format, but it was just kind of meh for me. I missed Shienelle, and Dylan doing the weather. And I didn't care for the roundtable at the beginning with those three people (I missed who they were and didn't recognize them). I would have rather they kept the old hosts and changed to this format if they had to. Nothing against Willie, though. Maybe it will grow on me.
