S01.E03: Lemons Into Lemonade
DeeplyShallow replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Real Housewives Of Dubai
Right? She’s in her mid-40s, she doesn’t have one foot in the grave. Guess who has money to spend? Women in her age group 🙋🏻♀️ Agreed that she overdid it with fillers and her self tan. I noticed a big old brown spot on her elbow in the scene at the Atlantis. Her tan looks really splotchy. Listening to the WWC podcast, I agreed with Ben- she’s going to lose the goodwill from LoL if she hasn’t already. She can be lifted out of this show and she wouldn’t be missed. -

I see it; I actually thought it was some joke picture of Kelly until I read what you wrote -

S16.E19: Reunion Part 2
DeeplyShallow replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
So, only people who live in the 5 boroughs are New Yorkers but everywhere else doesn’t matter for shit? Ok Guess this Long Islander is not a New Yorker but a bougie princess. Got it. I’ll make sure to introduce myself that way to others, lest I offend a true “New Yorker” PS. Gina is from the South Shore and her accent reflects that. Spoiled little rich girls are stereotypically from the North Shore. Like me. -

I was thinking the same thing -
Yep, also her friend who was CEO of Cortexyme. I work in pharma research and have actually sat in a room with both, pitching to them…let’s just say that none of this is surprising and their IP is BS. And, btw, it becomes VERY clear that they don’t know shit about science. There’s a reason why Pharma gets a bad rap- there really are a lot of GOOD people who want to make a difference in the industry. And then there are the ones who call the $hot$ and are completely disgusting and unscrupulous.

I don't get The love for this woman either. Her old school shtick is annoying, she makes excuses for a-holes and is a doormat for the men in her life, pretends to be tough and acts like the voice of reason, when she’s far from it. I Would never want her as a friend, she’s terrible. She’s also painfully insecure and also untrustworthy. What is the appeal? -
S16.E18: Reunion Part 1
DeeplyShallow replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
I don’t see anyone complaining that it’s ONLY 2 parts, me included. It’s an observation that the producers had absolutely nothing to work with that they couldn’t even stretch it to the unnecessary 3 part reunion. -
This was fascinating, thank you

S12.E10: The Horny Hungarians
DeeplyShallow replied to TexasGal's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
Judging her decision to be on the show and how she is on the show is part of the game and we all judge these women for a million things. There’s a difference, though, between what you’re saying and what other posters have routinely done- which is to deny the ED altogether in a vicious way. As someone who is also in the MH field and who has specialized in ED, I saw red flags the second she mentioned the recommendations from Renfrew and decided only to go to weekly individual therapy. Her excuses about her kids were an easy out. A highly reputable treatment center will not recommend inpatient without a compelling reason and that means she was in a serious bad way with her Anorexia and she was not actually ready to do the work. Evan should have been more insistent. He’s supportive but gets a big side eye from me because he’s an enabler and too passive. -
S16.E17: A Band of Housewives

Heather wore or carried a lot of Fendi earlier in the season but I also noticed a lot of LV (and maybe Gucci?) on them all this season. As for the pizza on the bag- I thought it was a fake from the second I saw it exposed to the rain. There isn’t a genuine bone in her body. -
S16.E18: Reunion Part 1
DeeplyShallow replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Real Housewives Of Orange County
2 parts mean that the producers know that this season was a turd. At this point, it’s almost a given that reunions are 3 parts (whether or not it’s necessary). -

Fuck the “trouble for ratings”. She’s an unhinged lunatic, of course she should be the one to leave. Someone threatens violence vs a shit stirrer. It’s a no brainer who should leave. -

That “performance” was physically painful to sit through Also, a blatant attempt to give Heather the spotlight again- this time it’s to show off her voice. I can’t. The Heather show was a massive fail. Gina’s a talentless, dumb, horrible person with a hunchback. Jen obviously has substance use issues (Ryne was definitely policing her at dinner). Noella’s so transparent, it’s pathetic (let me reenact the ring scene with Shannon!), and Emily’s only redeeming quality is Shane (there, I said it. I love Shane). Shannon needs to move on, being on this show is not healthy for her. -

Didn’t the Gorgas do the same? Their older son is Gino, I think -

Are you purposely making these statements to be shocking and get a rise out of people or is this for real? I hope you never experience such hatred from others if you ever suffer from an illness. My god. Jackie is sick and it’s been quite obvious for years- believe it or not, there are actually men & women who are capable of loving people who are sick. -

Honest about the pretense, yes. Nice- not in my eyes. She made some gross racist comments in her system (the horror of being hit on by a Puerto Rican guy comes to mind). She can stay gone. -

I have lived in SoCal for nearly 18 years and not once have I seen, been offered, or have known anyone who did coke. A couple of months years ago in two towns in Orange Cty and housewives mentioning it do not mean it’s prevalent nor characteristic of a massive region. I’m quite sure that every franchise is VERY familiar with coke but I wouldn’t generalize it to the respective states or cities.
