I don't get their logic. Kurt was a breakout character, CC himself made the top 100 list for (was it?) Time's most influential people in 2011, there were tons of press about Kurt getting a boyfriend...and then more and more they diminished his importance. Sure, he was a main character and they've all pretty much gotten shafted, but TPTB really mishandled one of their main assets IMO.

Glee Relationships: Taking the fun out of disfunctional!

Now, there were some romantic things in The New Normal, it was just a really bad show! -
Yes, it diluted the Mercedes/Kurt friendship, too, to the point apparently Mercedes is more concerned about Rachel's career and Rachel's and Sam's love lives when her bestie has been dealing with his Blaine breakup while pursuing his thesis or whatever. But I guess they don't need any significant interaction (or a song together)--we can just assume it happened off-screen.

Hmm...OK, but since then no mentions? 'Cause Blaine seems to have an awful lot of extra time on his hands...I'm not so sure he's still going to therapy. LOL Regardless, I don't know how a couple mentions and supposed off-screen self-reflection/-improvements are going to help them be ready for marriage. Any couples' counselor who wouldn't refund their money and tell them don't bother after seeing them interact for five seconds should have his/her license revoked! -

Was it one line in the premiere that I missed? Did they go to therapy together when they were in NY or are they currently going to therapy (separately)? I know Kurt said he was going to therapy (at least up until he came back to Lima), but he's not the only one with issues to work out... -
Yes, it does. But new characters get solos and other characters get multiple solos (and groups full of "characters" no one knows or cares about getting lots of songs), but whatever. At least Kurt is still in school and they didn't completely ignore his advanced education like they did his Vogue internship. Why he would supposedly just walk away from that instead of make connections and have any kind of an edge from the experience is annoying. Then his NYADA education apparently doesn't mean much either as a show choir co-director. He should've kept his plans to work at a retirement home...and be far away from Blaine. His friends could still slight him from afar...

So, different glee clubs from different schools can merge and keep their individual identities, and that's acceptable for competition? If the rules are OK with that, I would have rathered they found a loophole allowing alumni members to perform. I mean, there's enough of them at and near McKinley (at the drop of a hat) that they could easily fill the remaining spots necessary to compete. Will could relive his high school experience, Blaine could join his friends again (because he's been so separated from the action being all the way over at Dalton so far this season!...NOT), Kurt might FINALLY get some focus during a competition song, and the way these guys keep coming back to their high school after graduating, the New Directions will never have to worry about having enough members again! But, no, apparently the Warblers are as much a part of Glee as New Directions now, so Blaine, Rachel, and Kurt can jump for joy at their winning team(s). Maybe by then, Will will be a co-director, too. (Sorry, I've never been a Warblers fan, so the less of them the better. But alas...)
-
it was ridiculous how many scenes he was in...I guess the Warblers were taking a break? Seriously, he's in a different frickin' school! But better Bliane as a swinging angel than Kurt. Seriously. WTF Rachel? Missed opportunity, though, for some Kurtcedes in the choir room. Could've been fun. Paging Jesse St. James...nobody else will do it.

So then maybe you shouldn't have bothered asking if something made sense in regards to Glee? There is a significant difference between being a coach and being a teacher. Even in Glee, teachers should have the proper credentials--even if it turns out Sam got his teaching certificate online by submitting his modeling photos. His junk on the side of a bus is mighty impressive after all. But yes, it's Glee, so Lord Tubbington probably does take videos of Brittany in the shower and educators need not be educated.
-
No, it would not make more sense since he isn't qualified to teach ANYTHING. But Sam will probably win Teacher of the Year at this rate.
-
This isn't the same thing. They've had five seasons if Sam/Rachel was end game. Even if they just pulled it out of their arses, this isn't "oh, we don't know if our show will be renewed--quick, toss in some closure just in case!" It doesn't take 13 episodes to write a convincing love story. And there will always be dissatisfied viewers.
-
It's nothing like Wemma. That I could buy.Yes, they only have these last 13 episodes to get the Samchel rolling--and they wasted/mishandled (IMO) most of the time they've had already. Spoilers don't make it sound any better. We'll see... ETA: Methinks he doth protest too much. You know what that means! LOL
-
Which is a shame because, if they just had to have this pairing, they could have written an interesting story. Anyone with the tiniest bit of talent and five minutes could have outlined a decent story arc to follow that had some actual substance, unlike this dreck. True, I haven't seen the finished product, but I'm highly doubtful I'm going to look back on this season and go "Ahhhh!"
-
I think we can say that for just about any character.Seriously, he's teaching?? (I didn't watch the clip, because, I just can't right now--I'll save that pleasure for the actual episode. LOL) Being a head "coach" after a few weeks on the job? Fine, whatever. People have been countering that with real-life examples about how that's possible for someone without higher education. But an actual teacher?! Ugh. It's bad enough when Rachel and Kurt refer to themselves as teachers when they're just inexperienced show choir directors. (Do they use the faculty bathroom, too? I'm sure it's such a rush! Why no scenes of them all, including Blaine of course, hanging out in the faculty lunchroom so Sue can blow a gasket?)

Let's try to market this: media, articles and interviews

Pace yourself, there are still more "polls" to come! LOL I was wondering how these results came about. I guess at least somebody is doing something to count down to the series finale...even if it is a bit sketchy. -
Daryl: Your Leading Man and Norman Reedus: the Actor
indeed replied to Omar G.'s topic in The Walking Dead Franchise Shows
He's reminding me of Roy Dupuis in that picture, so as long as Eugene doesn't inspire him to get a mullet, I'm happy. Ish. I'd be happier if Daryl just took out his knife during a scene and hacked off a handful of bangs. ETA: Going back a ways...French-Canadian actor from La Femme Nikita (TV series). Was in a motorcycle mini-series among other things where he kinda sported that look and color. -
doubtful. In the 700th, CC sounded good mixed in with the other voices, the little you could hear of him. I'm surprised they didn't work another Blaine/Kurt duet in there for Bacharach--God forbid Kurt gets a solo--but nope. At this point, Kurt and Jane should duet!

Maybe she's the new Kurt?

EW article/cover art reveal

Can't wait to see that! LOL

Thanks for that. Every Monday should start off with a good laugh.

Nothing to potentially read into that song/singer choice at all...
-
I think it's too early to be "worrying" about his career. Not everyone has to have something significant lined up and announced immediately after "Cut, it's a wrap!"
-
I don't know--rewatching season 1, Kurt certainly has changed. Tina was better in the early days. Sam wasn't as super dumb when he first started.
