  1. That is what I found as well, (one with a dragon) which appears to be the crest for the generic Morgan name. It appears as if maybe these Morgans have their own crest, but if they do I can't find it either. Maybe that is why Carole is wearing a dinosaur on her sweater - it is the Radziwill family crest? If she shops in the boys section of any department store (and maybe she does), she can find lots of those types of clothes. Just a FYI, Carole.
  2. OK, I had to go back and look at the slippers again since people keep saying that the slippers are emblazoned with the Morgan family crest. They aren't. Sonja actually says the deer is from the family crest. But it is just a deer. And looks like many other slippers I have seen with deer on them - both the whole deer as in this case, and the head of a deer in other slippers I have seen. There is nothing on the slippers that denotes Morgan, or their crest. One of my fav scenes was when Carole, Tinsley and Ramona were driving to the spa, and Carole said she could not wait to ask Lu about her arrest. Tins was aghast, and said it was too soon. Carole then proceeded to lecture Tinsley on how people in this situation want to be asked, not have the situation ignored as if it didn't happen (to paraphrase). Carole was totally oblivious to the fact that Tins is saying this as someone who had been arrested and gone to court. Carole is so dense sometimes, it is mind boggling.
  3. Interesting! I had googled a couple of weeks ago to see if they were still together and the latest story I came across then was from May, when they were apartment hunting together. It doesn't bode well for their relationship that they have broken up twice since they first started dating. Hopefully Scott has come to his senses. Regarding Sonja wearing the family crest, does anyone know what it actually looks like? As far as I can see Sonja wearing deer on her slippers isn't a big deal. I have seen exactly the same type of slippers before, and it wasn't a crest, just a deer on the slippers. I would imagine the crest consists of more than a deer? I loved Betthany's crack that her crest would be a nutcracker. That is why I can't quit Bethenny. Count me in on those who of tired of Dorinda's widowhood martyrdom. As others have pointed out, she has been widowed longer than she was married. She could very well have been divorced by now, if Richard had lived. What I find interesting is that I read (though who knows if it is true) that Richard and Dorinda raised his two children after they married. I think they are in their 20s now? I don't think Dorinda has ever mentioned having step children, has she? I only remember her going on and on about how Richard's death affected Hannah. In any case I can't imagine his children are too impressed that Drunk Dorinda has their beloved father's name.
  4. I have to say, I much preferred Amy's Christmas party to Matt's. Matt's party was all about Matt, not his grandchildren, since the grandchildren have no idea what is going on, and will not remember any of it. And WTF was up with dressing as Santa, and then having your months old grandkids have to sit outside with him? Is Santa not allowed in the house where it is warm? The only smart one was Matt's dog who stayed in the house. Not to mention, Matt appears to have just exchanged one female whom he expects to cater to him for another. Why wasn't Matt in the kitchen preparing food - the party was for his family, not Caryn's. WTH does she see in him? I loved Chris and the twins playing cards. I like that Amy's party was focused on the adults, not the kids who have no idea what is going on anyway. The twins really need to get over that their parents are divorced. Do they not see that they both are much happier apart, and that Chris treats their mother much better than their father ever did? Sheesh. I was also annoyed at Jer asking his dad if he thought he would ever get a straight answer out of Amy. She gave you both a straight answer you azzhole. Just because it wasn't the one you wanted, doesn't mean it didn't happen. I laughed at Zach saying he didn't want a dog, because he would then be 3rd after the baby and the dog. Hilarious. Though if Tori is smart, she will insist on a dog along with another kid. I am an animal person and would never not have one or more in my life. I think Tori is the same, so I hope she sticks to her guns.
  5. I felt so sorry for the dad because he was trying to steer his daughter to go to college and become self sufficient. So sad that she chose to marry and become a mother so young. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it appeared that she gave up those years, and then after a few short years of marriage was trying to get that carefree life back, though now was a mother of two young children. Her taste in men was terrible, from a cheating husband, to a drug dealer. Not that I think she knew he was a dealer, but as my hubby said, did she really think he was taking her on shopping sprees and buying her designer luggage on a cook's salary? The daughter was a classic case of how not to life your life, IMO. Not victim blaming, just the way I see it.
  6. The women from Grey Gardens were mother and daughter, which makes your comparison even more apropos. And Carole called Lu's dress at her court date a crime. Does Carole own a mirror?
  7. I am amazed that Carole admitted that she hadn't seen or spoke to Adam in two months. It really does seem (not surprisingly) like she trained for and ran the marathon because Adam was, as a way to keep him in her life. It looks like as soon as the marathon was over, so was her contact with Adam. I wonder what the editor of Cosmo would think if she watched the episode and saw that Carole hadn't even started the article for the mag when she was on the phone with her. Mind you the article was pretty sophomoric, so maybe it would not be a surprise. When the ladies were in the gym and Carole was flirting with the young guy with the dreadlocks I thought "There is Carole's next boyfriend". Poor Lu. She spends NYE 2016 getting married to TomCat, and NYE 2017 alone in rehab. Somehow I think I feel more sorry for her spending 2016 marrying Tom. Tins and her mother? Yikes. The fake crying (no tears) over Tinsley's eggs was a bit much. I wonder what Scott thinks, if he watched this episode of the wedding dress shopping. I do agree with others that Tinsley's desperation is linked to her ex having a child a couple of weeks after this episode was filmed. It appears that Scott and Tins are still together, but for the life of me I can't see what he sees in her. She is like a teenager in the body of a 40 something year old. Edited to add - RIP Bobby. You were a prince among men.
  8. I thought JM acted circles around EB. Not that that is hard to do, but I think today was one of JM's most powerful days ever on this show.
  9. Grrrrr, I just watched the episode and it is even worse than I imagined! WTH is wrong with Nick's attorney? (Other than of course she is being written as completely incompetent?). So Michael can talk ad nauseam about Sharon's mental illness, but Nick's lawyer doesn't bring up any of Victor's past? Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Sharon's mental illness is under control, but Victor's narcissism cannot be medicated. He is like that 24/7. And why is Nikki not under scrutiny, since she will be living with CAN as well? Not only is she in danger of her MS flaring up at any time (and certainly the stress of being 60ish and caring for a toddler can't help), but Nikki is in as much danger of relapsing as an alcoholic as Sharon might with her illness. Only in Nikki's case, there is no medication to keep her from relapsing. As usual, absolutely ridiculous writing.
  10. I came here before I watched today's show, and now I don't know if I will bother to watch. How ridiculous that Nick, who has said his family is his priority, is losing custody to a man with one foot in the grave, and the other foot in his office. And yes, Victor even said Nikki raised the kids, not him. Nikki, who is in the middle of an MS flareup and could not even attend the hearing. So who is going to raise CAN? A nanny I guess. Way to go, judge (or Mal, as the case may be). SMH.
  11. It looks like several dresses I remember from the 70s and early 80s, including a friend of mine's. Though both of my brothers got married in the 70s and it doesn't look like either of their wives' dresses. These were first weddings of young brides (and it looks like maybe that was the case with you?), 35 - 45 years ago. Tabitha Simmons is a 47 year old divorced fashion editor - she looks ridiculous. Edited to add - there are some hilarious comments on Tinsley's thread. There is even a picture of Tabitha in her reception wedding dress compete with the unicorn headdress which features ears. OMFG! And LOL.
  12. I don't know that I would say the Olsen twins get away with being eccentric - I think they are often made fun of for it. But I think someone's personal style is different than someone whose job it is to tell others how to dress, and then dress like they belong on a covered wagon (and apt comparison, I might add). But then I don't follow "hi-brow fashion", so maybe that is what the editors of Vogue are telling the sheeple to wear.
  13. OMG, what is wrong with this woman? And she is an editor at Vogue? I don't read that mag (or any women's fashion mag for that matter) but are the clothes just as hideous in it? Tins has been accused of dressing younger than her age, but her ex's new wife appears to dress younger than their 5 month old daughter's age. Topper appears to have a type.
  14. Their daughter was born 5 months ago. So Tabitha wore Amy's dress from The Big Bang Theory? Why??? That is one ugly dress. Does anyone else think that Tinsley's boyfriend Scott resembles her ex?
  15. It's odd as the friend didn't mention finding Butterbean in the apartment, which you would think she would have. And one would think Butterbean would have been barking, being left alone for 4 days. Or been barking when Lauren was attacked and murdered. I know she was murdered by a neighbour, but she did have other neighbours who would have presumably heard Butterbean bark at some point between when the neighbour broke in, and when the friend went to check on Lauren days later. Which makes me think maybe someone was looking after the pup for Lauren? But then why would whoever was looking after Butterbean not wonder why Lauren wasn't checking on the dog? So many questions, and all could have been answered easily by Dateline during the episode.
  16. Wow, The Watcher was quite the case. When they said that Lauren had sent an email to her boyfriend saying she was being watched, I really thought he had killed her (for sleeping with her ex) and sent the email to himself to divert suspicion. Kind of sad though that she was so accomplished and beautiful, yet was moving in with someone whom she had such a rocky relationship, not to mention did bother to check in with her for several days. Scary to think the guy who was a fellow student and neighbour was a psychopath who could kill her, let alone dispose of her body in such a manor. As others have said, he wasn't all that bright as it turns out, and disposes of her body both at their building, and the law school? I don't know why he was so surprised that they found the body - it is a wonder that after that many days the bag wasn't discovered anyway due to the smell alone. Like others, I am so disappointed that they never mentioned what happened to the dog. Did she still have it at that point in her life? I thought for sure the poor puppy was going to be found dead in the apartment when the friend went to check on Lauren. That is something that Dateline is very bad at - someone producing the show should be bright enough to know that viewers would be wondering about the dog's fate.
  17. I don't know what "if you told me this happened in June" means. So someone could start a relationship right away and still be grieving (which also happens) and you would question Carole's motivation then? But yes, many people grieve a loved one for years after they have moved on to another relationship. In this case the widow was comfortable with declaring her love for her new partner on social media by Valentine's Day. Good for her.
  18. I just read Tamara Tattles purple pen take down of Carole's latest blog. It is brilliant, and so spot on. I am always amused at Carole's defense of Adam. at how he was working as a chef for Luann and making next to nothing. Carole seems totally blinded to the fact that if Adam were capable of making more than next to nothing, he certainly could have by not living off Lu, and getting a real job. He obviously was not all that ambitious, and preferred the lifestyle that Lu could offer. FFS, the guy was in his late 20s then. Please don't make him out to be some young, starving artist being taken advantage of, Carole. Sheesh. Interesting comment from a reader at the end of the blog. Apparently Carole's friend lost her husband last May, and by this past Valentine's day was in a hot and heavy committed lesbian relationship with Samantha Ronson. So it doesn't appear as if Carole's visit to California at Christmas was to comfort a grieving widow, as her visit last summer was. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course, but I wonder if Carole will continue the narrative of sacrificing her time to comfort a grieving friend.
  19. So let me get this straight. Nikki thinks that Sharon could be the reason Nick loses custody of CAN, but Victor deserves custody despite all the despicable things he has done? Not to mention that he is old as dirt, and has pretty much used up all of his nine lives. Add in that CAN would be living under the roof of two people who just recently ended an open marriage, where each was at any given time leaving the ranch to bump uglies with their respective side pieces. I guess if they decide to reopen their marriage a nanny can be counted on to keep CAN clothed and fed while the golden oldies get in on with someone other than their betrothed. And finally of course, we have ex stripper Nikki who is looking down her nose at Sharon, while she continues her working relationship with her employee, the one she was up until recently bedding. I guess in Nikki's world, #MeToo means I too will use my power over a subordinate to have him be at my beck and call as a sex toy. Time should be up for both of these old geezers.
  20. I thought it was odd that Luann said that Adam and her niece crashed on her couch, but I figured she was helping her niece and went along with it when her niece decided that she liked Adam. It is obvious that she is very close to her niece, given how upset she was with Carole when Carole started dating him. (Though oddly, she never said anything negative against Adam for the longest time). When Luann moved into Tom's apartment she hung a piece of her neice's art along with her daughter's. As far as Adam's GoFundMe attempt? Sheesh. I am wondering more and more why Carole is so hung up on ManBun.
  21. I had forgotten that late 20s something (at that time) Adam was a pal to 17 year old Noel - kind of creepy and opportunistic right there, given he ended up being a chef for Luann. And from what Lu said to Sonja, Adam and her niece crashed on her couch for 6 months, so Adam wasn't crashing on the neice's couch. Because assuming she had one he would be camping out in her bed instead. Looks like they were both using Lu, but at least the niece was a relation. What is the deal about the GoFundMe project? Hadn't heard of that one.
  22. Grrr, that was such an annoying episode. Though I do remember another network covering the case as well as I remember the part about Michelle and Jeremy going to a concert and breaking up right after it. Even in this episode itself Jeremy gave two different versions of what he was doing when Michelle supposedly shot herself. At the first of the episode when he is being interviewed by the police he said that he was sitting on his motorbike in the garage with his head down when he heard the first gunshot. Later on in the episode when the official cause of death is changed to homicide they show a report. I freeze framed the report and in it Jeremy says that he was going out the front door of the house when he heard the first shot. Usually the only time one gives different versions of where someone was during a rather important event is when they are lying. So many annoying people in this episode including Jeremy's lawyer, and the person who chastised the family for exhuming Michelle's body. WTF? What nerve!
  23. Thanks for posting this. I just watched the documentary and loved it. I thought the format was brilliant - JM talking with his concert playing in the background. So many insights into his music, life, background and evolution as a musician and song writer. Though I have been a fan since the early 80s, I was blown away by how much I didn't know about him. And though I have always thought of him as a pretty deep person, the documentary brought even more into focus how shallow Erika wades in the musical pool in relation to the depth that JM has achieved. No wonder she doesn't like Teddi - she is embarrassed by her lack of talent in comparison to Teddi's dad. BTW, I just bought tickets to see Mellencamp in concert in November. It has been several years since I have seen him live - I am looking foward to it!
  24. Not to mention (bolding mine), Tom had a girlfriend within a few weeks of Lu announcing she was divorcing Tom. (Though more than likely he had her while still married, since he didn't stop seeing women at any time during his relationship and marriage to Lu). Lu announced in early Aug/17, Tom was photographed happy as a clam with a new girlfriend the 1st of September. Heck, all of last season was devoted to all of the women talking about Tom's side pieces. I was actually surprised that Beth apologized because on a list of 1-100 of things that might be surprising, the fact that Tom had a girlfriend in December would not be in the top 1,000. I loved the scene when Lu was all in Beth's face saying she didn't care what she thought of her, and Beth asked if she cared that she had lipstick on her face. I loved them both laughing over that, and instantly the whole scene turned funny. Lu is so much more fun without TomCat.
  25. To me, the most interesting thing said in the whole episode was when Luann turned to Sonja during the dinner at Dorinda's and said of Adam "He lived with my niece for 6 months on our couch". Wow. Now Luann sometimes plays fast and loose with the truth, but if Adam really did crash at Lu's for 6 months - WTH? Does ManBun just move from woman to woman depending on what they can offer him? Operator seems kind. Carole is exhausting. Beth seemed to realize that friendships ebb and flow, but Carole doesn't seem to grasp the concept. And twice in this episode Beth told Carole she loved her, to which Carole replied with silence. Ramona's party to celebrate Carole's marathon run wasn't good enough. I think Beth said something about sending Carole two care packages when she was training for it (though with everyone talking over everyone else I wasn't sure). Then Carole claims that she is perfectly happy, but was mad at Bethenny for not pulling her aside to make sure she was OK over her breakup. Carole is giving me whiplash. During the party at Dorinda's everyone was having fun including Bethenny. Even Tins didn't seem to be holding Carole's hand when she went upstairs. Everyone but Carole was downstairs having fun. I liked that Beth led the group in a joint thank you to Dorinda for making it nice. Regarding Carole being unable to donate due to being under 110 lbs - she seemed positively giddy about that. I have a niece who has never weighed more than 100 lbs (and can eat whatever she wants to boot). She hates it when people call attention to her weight. Carole has obviously weighed more than that before (certainly when she was married to Anthony she was heavier) so she appears to be proud of the sunken face, boney look. Finally I had to laugh at Luann saying she was a loser for not being able to donate blood. Not for making a fool of herself for the last two years over Tom, mind you. Though I don't know why she was upset that he had moved on so quickly after the divorce when he never stopped seeing other women during the marriage. SMH.
