  1. Why are Mick and Lady Toni still alive?
  2. I lasted all of 20 minutes of Dirk Gently. It was just a bunch of random crap thrown at the screen, with no attempt to establish the characters or give me a reason to watch. There's mystery and there's being deliberately confusing. Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm a moron who doesn't appreciate good TV that makes me 'think'. Sorry, life's too short to spend that much time on a TV show trying to figure out what's going on.
  3. And only on TV is this seen as a righteous thing to do. IRL, it comes across as pigheaded stupidity bordering on child abuse if the mother chooses to live in dire poverty rather than accept help. e.g. Gilmore Girls. In that case, the teen mother who not only rejected child support from both the boyfriend's wealthy family and her own wealthy parents in order to work as a hotel maid and live in a shed. Again, IRL, CPS would have been involved and she would have lost custody.
  4. The only Emma I knew on 1969 was a Mennonite. That name really took me out of the show. She would have been called Donna, Debbie, or Susan.
  5. I love their auto fleet consisting of the eliminator car, the A-Team van, and Doc Brown's Delorean. I'm surprised the General Lee and Starsky's Tomato weren't in the driveway.
  6. Or the flat, square, blindingly white teeth. It's gotten to the point where seeing an actor or actress with natural teeth, i.e. pointed canines/different sized incisors/off white, looks jarring.
  7. It should be funny, it could be funny, but it isn't funny. The David character is despicable, the wife is shrill and annoying and Jim comes across as a lazy dolt. I gave up watching halfway through the 3rd episode this year.
  8. The old TWOP threads are permanently gone? Damn! I just caught a couple of eps of this turkey, and boy, is it ever bad! It reminded me of that hilariously awful spoof from SG1's 200th episode. I was hoping to find some good snark here, but no.
  9. He was generally pleasant and polite to people. He didn't go around announcing that he was smarter than anyone else while working at Walmart at flunking out of high school - he actually finished high school. He never pressured Rory into having sex.
  10. Set another place at the table for me. Jess was a mixed up, troubled kid who needed professional help and a lot of guidance, but Luke seemed to think that Rory could and should fix him.
  11. I think Sam deliberately provoked her because he doesn't want to live without Dean. Geez, Chuck, you couldn't have zapped Dean home?
  12. Why the hell was Sam concerned about Lucifer being tortured. You'd think that after all the torture Lucifer inflicted on him, he'd at least gloat a little.
  13. True, Cain had far more gravitis. I'm not feeling the Dean/Amara connection at all. Hey Chuck, if you didn't want Lucifer out, maybe you should have pulled Sam out of that church before he ganked Lillith. Just saying.
  14. Yeah, I didn't get the impression that Dean threw the Samulet away because it failed to help Cas find god. He threw it away in front of Sam to deliberately hurt Sam for having the gall to have a few good memories that didn't involve him. Ooh, how dare my brother feel excited about going to college! How dare he have dinner with friends!
  15. Of course he had a part to play, I'm just sick and tired of Sam getting the entire blame while everyone else's part is forgotten.
  16. Well I certainly didn't agree with Chuck on that one. Was Sam supposed to let Dean turn into an unstoppable, immortal killing machine? How about Castiel, Rowena, and Crowley's participation in that spell. Anyone of them could have said, nope, too risky, not going to do it, but they didn't. While we're on that vein, IIRC, the spell called for Rowena to sacrifice someone she loved, she told the others that the only person she loved lived 300 years ago. At that point, Sam left, having no idea that Oscar was still alive and 5 minutes away. Then Castiel kidnapped Oscar, brought him to the site, and turned him over to Rowena to be murdered. Sam had no knowledge of this. Last time I checked, Cas had a mind of his own and presumably had a moral compass. Meanwhile, Sam finds Dean, and instead of Dean or Death informing Sam that removing the mark would release the darkness, Dean tried to talk Sam into letting himself be killed, so I really don't get how it's all Sam's fault. As for Chuck being god, I have mixed feelings. It's about time he showed up, but it contradicts everything we saw in S4/S5.
  17. My bitterness: Sam's desire to go off to college was healthy, normal and appropriate. The fact of earning a scholarship considering his background and breaking away from John's control shows immense strength, determination and character. However, since this hurted Dean's fee fees, this has always been portrayed as a heinous act of malice and betrayal.
  18. Did I post this in my sleep? Except for the Veronica Mars guy, I agree with every one, especially Luke and Dean Winchester.
  19. Young Tim has really shot up this year. He also has quite an interest in science. I loved Sister Julienne and Sister Monica Joan, but I still miss Sister Evangelina. Trixie, you dumped Tom a year ago, so you don't get to be all butthurt because he's dating someone else.
  20. That's not an unpopular opinion with me! I never thought Dean was a great as some people did, but he was tolerable and somewhat amusing in the first three seasons. For the last few seasons, he's turned into to a massive jerk who's borderline abusive to Cas and Sam.
  21. I'd love to see The Adventures of Astronaut Mike, Sailor Pat and Phil The Worm. Seriously, I'm totally over watching the Malibu crowd bicker. Erica, honey, you're going to need all the help you can get with the baby, so don't be so quick to turn down help.
  22. I hate people who lick their fingers before turning a page or handling papers. No, I don't want to touch a piece of paper you effectively spat on!
