  1. In the books I think JK made it pretty clear that Ginny was pretty perfect for Harry, one scene comes to mind in OotP, when Harry is in one of his blaming himself moods and Ginny is the one that snaps him out of it, with Ron and Hermione with no idea what to do. I loved Ron in the books, and he was perfect for Hermione there, but in the movies they gave most of his lines to Hermione which made him seem dumber and also made her fit into more of this 'perfect' character than what she was in the books. I
  2. I binge watched Castle recently, but gave up when I got to season 8. They should have ended it after season 7 tbh, so there really is no reason that they should carry on without Beckett. Yeah, the show is called Castle, but it was never really about him? The majority of Castle's character development was through Beckett, so I've no idea how they could carry on without her.
  3. I'm genuinely curious to see what this cake will be like. Not curious enough to smack 25K, but still curious
  4. I'm sorry, who are you guys talking about again?
  5. From the spoilers thread Honestly, for them to show Oliver in a present day relationship with someone other than Felicity would feel really dishonest to me. In season three it was pretty much Felicity or no one, and with Felicity very much in the picture (i.e. not dead or put on a bus) I have no doubt that Oliver would 'stray' from that. They've shown that Oliver has pretty much been in love with Felicity for over two years, to an extent that we haven't seen before at all with Oliver's other relationships. Theoretically they could put Oliver in an interim relationship, they could ignore everything that happened and call it Oliver's attempt to move on. But the problem with that is they very much based the break up as a way to induce growth in Oliver. The problem wasn't that they argued a lot, or that they never saw each other, or various other problems where both of the characters are at fault (or neither are at fault). If it was that case then it would sort of make sense that Oliver would attempt to move on (I say sort of because season three implies otherwise, but the writers could ignore that) because there's not really an easy solution to those. However, the problem was that Oliver lied and didn't let Felicity in, and there very much is an easy (storywise) solution to that, which will probably (read:most definitely) will be Oliver not lying or keeping secrets from Felicity. The way I see it, Oliver has mentally been in a relationship with Felicity since the beginning of season three, and he still believes himself to be in that relationship. That's why we didn't see him with anyone after the date with Felicity, because, whilst he wasn't actually dating her, he subconsciously viewed being in a relationship with someone else not only something he couldn't do but also as an act of infidelity, because he's in love with Felicity. Now, I don't think that it's subconscious. If we learnt anything from Broken Hearts it's that Oliver hasn't given up on having a relationship with Felicity, and even with what he said to Laurel in Beacon of Hope, I don't think that he has given up on reconciliation at all. It's Felicity or no one for him, because if it was anyone else in Oliver's mind it would very much be him being unfaithful to Felicity, despite not actually being in a relationship with her.
  6. Nope. It's giving on the BBC right now so I'm actually not sure if you can get it in the US, and only two episodes have been released. Maya and her husband Nick are the two main characters. This is the website to the show http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b076vdbc
  7. Is anyone watching Undercover? It's a new BBC miniseries and I'm really enjoying the first two episodes that have come out so far. It's based on the revelations that undercover police officers had been forming long term relationships with activists, and even having children with them in some cases, since the 80s. It sort of takes it a step further in that the couple have been married for twenty years and have three children, and Maya (the wife who is played by an amazing actress) is in fact a criminal defense lawyer who's been approached to be promoted to a really public position, meaning that the fact that the husband isn't who he says he is may be revealed. I highly recommend it because I'm loving what I've seen so far.
  8. That and scrolling through Felicity's Facebook page.
  9. To your first point, To your second point, yes. The show was very faithful to the books, it didn't really take any liberties and it certainly didn't change any of the storyline. I'm not sure what the landscape of the show will be even after season two ends, so I can't accurately state how it's going to be in a few seasons time, but I do think because they've stuck so close to the books so far, it's unlikely that they'll change any major storyline.
  10. Yep, which is why they can't avoid it
  11. Spoilers for the book series,
  12. I've read the books which is why I started watching the show but after the controversial last season, I knew that the creatives wouldn't be able to deal with the with the sensitivity it deserves and I noped out of there really fast. Also, spoiler alert for future books that the series will be based on, The books get worse as they go along, The author is also one of the reasons I stopped reading. Her interviews don't paint her in any positive light at all, and weirdly she's repeatedly said that she hates romance, and belittled it as a genre, despite the fact that the most successful aspect of her first novel was a romance (and that that's pretty much what the entire book is based around.
  13. I, for one, am all for werewolf Oliver. Maybe this episode will be the catalyst for Oliver's true, and very hairy, journey. We'd get some weird fanfiction though.
  14. He could have had two separate tweets if he really wanted to make a point, but this way it's almost like he's congratulating KC on not sending him death threats, which is pretty shitty. Surely she deserves a tweet that's actually about her?
  15. I was gunno go for 'that time SA dropped KC' awkward
  16. So on a scale of 1-10, how awkward does everyone think the lauriver kiss is going to be?
  17. The cavernous space might have something to do with the flashbacks
  18. And likewise, if I know it's going to happen or I know there's no way they're going to die, I will stick with the show, no matter how long it takes.
  19. I don't consider it fan service if it's a major storyline. If it's something that's a joke, like the Olicity mention or boxing glove arrow, it's fan service. If it's an unnecessary shirtless scene that's fanservice. Otherwise, I don't think it counts.
  20. I think he should save writing a book until after the show ends.... so I can get all the goss.
  21. I wonder if KCs going to post that picture of her in a fridge again
  22. The last one killed me. "It's just... you don't look like my little girl"
