  1. Point taken, but, does Ted Cruz even identify as Latino?
  2. Kelly has definitely ramped up the loud, hyper, obnoxious behavior. And, it's just the beginning.
  3. Solid start! There was absolutely no mystery as to who the first two singers would choose as their coaches. Man, Jennifer looked so hurt when Adam blocked her for that singer (I can't remember her name). I did laugh out loud when Adam asked the singer if she would have picked Jennifer if given the opportunity, and she said, "Probably...." Jennifer looks gorgeous this season, and I love her confidence. I think she'll be a strong competitor as a coach.
  4. From your mouth to God's ears. What season was Zendaya? How did I miss her?
  5. I'd heard this age for Big Bird before, I don't know from where. According to the Muppet Wikia, he was originally envisioned as around 4.5: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Big_Bird Spinney described him as "He was the too-big kid, much as I had been the too-little kid when I was his age. I suggested that we think of him as a child first learning to read and learning the alphabet, like our audience. That made him about 4½."[9] Apparently, as the Sesame Street audience has gotten younger, he has been aged up to 6, and there he stayed. This information has been brought to you by the letter V. ;)
  6. That is her view, and it is a view that millions of Americans share. It's not a view I share, but, I am OK with her having it and expressing it.
  7. I think Hannahlie's reaction was completely appropriate. She was enjoying her moment. I was really pulling for her to win, and I'm so glad she did! She danced beautifully all season, and expressed the emotions of the dances well.
  8. Maybe because this was a truncated season, the reprises of performances didn't feel as fresh or exciting to me. I feel like we had just seen them. I did like seeing Yummy, and I thought that the execution of Bump was tighter from the original three this time around. It was fun when the other two female contestants strutted out in the white suits, but I don't feel they really added anything. Mr. rollercoaster isn't really into the show, but he will half watch/listen while he does other things, and he enjoyed the music from throughout the season.
  9. @Stuffy Thanks! I actually did see that series, and I didn't remember her in it, heh. Seems like a theme for her characters, her husband cheating on her with her best friend.
  10. @Stuffy: Betty Gilpin was in American Gods?
  11. That whole set up with Ruth and the head of the network was giving off some serious Mad Men vibes. The actor playing Tom even kind of resembled a Don Draper type. Also, I loooooooooooove the wardrobe on this show! Debbie's fringe skirt, Carmen's jumpsuit at the gay club, and Ruth's meeting dress are EVERYTHING.
  12. I feel this especially from Sunny. She's been wonderfully passionate and outspoken these two days, and I love it. I am think her hair extensions are fine. I enjoyed very much listening to John Kerry speak, especially the way he contrasted his and John McCain's Vietnam experiences.
  13. Jay Jay and Darius. He realizes that a terrible, terrible mistake was made in the keeping of him.
  14. I am absolutely loving Harriet's evolution. I don't find her to be any more calculating or villainous than any other character on this show. She, like every other woman, is just trying to make her way in this world and take care of the people she cares about. I'm intrigued to see how her story unfolds next season, and I'm glad she found a community of color to set up house with who are supportive and hopefully trustworthy. Here's to her becoming a more well-drawn, complex character.
  15. I am NOT a Roller fan, and I laughed out loud when the crew picked up Desna and slammed the van door in Roller's face. PTSD or not, I really feel nothing but loathing for him. No pity from me. Juanda was badass! I love Dale Dickey, and I'm sad we lost her character. "Yard onions and conditioner." I'm gonna need to meditate on that for a while. Lol at the Husser men fighting like animals in the strip joint, then weeping and making up. Desna's face was priceless. Toby did NOT like being called an idiot. I wonder if he will stick around. Sooooooo many patterns on Uncle Daddy and them when they strolled up for the sit down with Riva. OMG! Old ladies with guns!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa!!! Riva is a BOSS BITCH!!!! Uncle Daddy being at the mercy of a woman and having to go to POC for help seems like poetic justice. That scene when the ladies all opt to go with Desna was awesome! I really love these characters. Pushing forward to season 2! Well, I was, until I realized that it wasn't yet available on Hulu. Damn!
  16. The tightness of this crew and their complete loyalty to Desna makes me really want an episode devoted to how they all got together. I would especially like to know more about Quiet Ann. She is very protective of Desna. Two moments stuck out for me this episode: When she grabbed Jenn by the throat and slammed her against the wall after Jenn threatened to tell on Desna at the party--while obviously feeling bad about it and talking about how much they all love each other; and her telling Desna she should have told her about the Coombs and let her take care of them, as that was her job. Quiet Ann, who are you? And just what exactly is your skill set?
  17. Oh. Well, I'll always have Troy James. :)
  18. I will admit it...the zebra trampoline guy made me laugh out loud. I was pulling for him, and the contortionist. Hopefully, they both get snapped up by a circus, or some kind of entertainment venue. I would love to see the contortionist in a horror movie, he is practically a special effect already. The father/daughter act and the scorpion/alligator man did nothing for me. Glad Flage and the comedian made it through. I am very disappointed that the body noise duo made it through over acts that took actual skill.
  19. I was put in the mind of an 18th Century Joker and Harley Quinn. Also: A strange question. Does Margaret employ any servants to do mundane chores like cleaning, helping the women get dressed, do hair and makeup, etc? Or do they all just help each other out and take turns doing chores?
  20. The treatment of and discussion of children this episode, and throughout the series is very interesting. I fear for Jacob's emotional well-being. I felt so bad for him when he was sitting alone on the steps after Nancy's flogging last episode. He has seen so many traumatic things and no one really seems to comfort him, and it was so sad when he begged his father not to go. He just seems at loose ends so often. I was glad to see him spend some time with his dad at the pub. guess all the women of the house look after the kids. Then, Mrs. May scoffing at the innocence of children and molesting Charles in front of his mother, and Lydia saying the "pleasing" her father as a child was the making of her. Breaking of her, in reality. She doesn't view herself as a victim, but a survivor, so doesn't see the ways she victimizes others. Seems like life is so rough that no one really thinks to shield children, especially poor children from the harsh realities. Margaret does try, in her way, and so does Harriet and Fanny. Also, I'm really enjoying see more people of color in the cast. London of that time was very diverse and it's great to see it portrayed for a change. I love Violet calling out Justice Hunt's friends hypocrisy. Hunt is getting quite an education about the realities of life for other people. Maybe he had the privilege of some sheltering as a child.
  21. @Bossa Nova On this board, RBM is a reference to Meghan. I think originally it was Rich Bitch McCain, but sometimes it's Raging Bitch McCain. I don't remember who coined either brilliant term. If we are lucky, they might raise their hands for credit and to explain further. ?
  22. I left my feedback! This is what I wrote: I have an issue with this show because you only have Meghan McCain to represent the conservative/Republican viewpoint. Please hire Ana Navarro or Tara Setmayer to provide balance and a different conservative/Republican viewpoint. It would provide much needed balance to the panel. Thank you for your time.
  23. OH. MY. GOODNESS! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS BACK!!!! Time to fire up the old Hulu and get my binge on.
  24. Thank goodness for Ana speaking out about this. I hope that audience members do as well. It was a wonderfully pleasant show today! The ladies were warm and friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with one another. I love how they hugged and celebrated Paula at the end, and how Paula commended Whoopi for her generosity.
