  1. You mean because he is currently in Rafe's shoes, since he's been covering for Nicole, while gently coercing her into doing the right thing, but when she immediately does the wrong thing, he doesn't correct it; he gives her yet another chance. I don't think the PtB meant today's Rafe/Daniel scenes to be an exercise in Daniel's hypocrisy, but that's just what they were to me. So what, Rafe is supposed to sell out his sister, but Daniel is free to coddle a proven-liar friend. I mean, cripes, Nicole once had Jen charged (and held in a cell, if I recall correctly) for the death of her baby who was already dead. Generally speaking, I have loved Jennifer for decades and liked Daniel for a few years (I missed his man-ho years). I mostly liked them before Jack was brought back a couple of years ago, then it all sort of fell apart. Still, I've held a fond thought for them, but Daniel refusing to show poor Rafe some mercy, while simultaneously icing out Jen, who was just trying to make sure the truth would be told (and I'm with Jen, I am in no way convinced Daniel ever would have told Eric the truth) makes me want to gag.
  2. Thank you, KAOS Agent! Amerilla, you can run, but you cannot hide. Also, I want to say that to all of you. No. Wait. What I actually want to say is that I'm not ready to lose you. If/when you post here, if you can somehow incorporate your TWoP name, I'll appreciate it, because my memory is crap. I am ever so grateful to those of you who have kept it the same.
  3. Well, that's mutual, aquarian1. I am so happy to see a trusted, familiar name at the helm. Thank you.
  4. I agree with everything you said about the rape, because that's what it was. I sort of love Adam and Eddy, but if/that they don't see Regina's actions (in re: Graham) as rapey means NOTHING to me. That said, while I loved this episode (and hated it) very much, on my own, if I recall correctly, this is THE episode that brought my recaps to the attention of Adam and Eddy. If I'm remembering right, Adam retweeted my links to the recap, even though I used his surname as an euphemism for the "F" word and Eddy's surname as a euphemism for the "S" word. Recap!
  5. shapeshifter, although this isn't what you were saying, your post reminds me of what I felt during (what I think was) the season 2 premiere. When Mary/Snow and David/Charming, met up with Granny/Granny, and Ruby/Red (and the Dwarfs), it put me in mind of what it must be like to meet our people in heaven. Shanna Marie, I hope your mom is doing well. I hope it continues. Does anyone know if Deirbhile made it to P.TV? aquarian1, thank you so much for moderating. I know it's a volunteer gig, and I know it's not an easy gig. It's nice to see a familiar name at the helm.
  6. Dave, moderators, and co., if this is against the spirit of your boards here, please feel free to delete my comment and/or warn me. Also, though, please know I didn't intend for it to be a problem. To me, what I posted didn't fly in the face of what I'd say at a party, and wasn't dickish (but we dickish often don't know we are). It's just (for me) I don't think 1-opinion threads foster healthy discussion. Peace.
  7. NOTE TO THE MOD: This topic can be closed (if that's something you do here). The show was canceled.
  8. Just as long as you don't forget who you are.
  9. Either I don't think he's that bad (this is in re the actor playing Nathan West/J Whoever, right?) or he's even prettier than I'll admit. Today, Nina was way more palatable than she was, yesterday.
  10. Yes, I knew that. it was the wording that confused me. When I read "Ava threatened Sabrina," I read it like Ava made the threat to Sabrina's face. I was just trying to make sure the original post meant, "Ava told Carols she would harm Sabrina," because otherwise, I missed more than I thought.
  11. My unpopular opinion is that I don't like "unpopular opinion" discussions. By default, they rule out dissent. I don't think they're healthy for a community or a board. I wish we would all feel free to discuss our opinions on all the threads, regardless of their popularity. That said? I like Henry and I like Jared as Henry. There. I said it.
  12. You're right about the sinuses, I tell you what! Although Lee, I have to say, I love when people from Arizona (and similar climes) say, "It's a dry heat," because then I get to say, "So's an oven!" Sharky, your husband is joking, but then again, he is not. My kids are 18, 15, and 14. My default is to still think of myself as a "new mother," until I stop and get a clue. "It goes so fast," is such a cliche that it needs a stronger word than "cliche" to describe it.
  13. Thank you for saying this, spidermiss2426. My heartbreaks have made me who I am, and while they did hurt, I'm a better person for them. While I understand any parents (religious or not), not wanting their children sexually involved with their dating partners, and while I don't want my own children to ever have their hearts broken, heartbreak is, overall, good for a person. At least for me, it taught me compassion, perspective, and a whole host of things.
  14. Marilla Cuthbert's friend. Sorry. Anne issues. Well, they basically are. He's a year or two older than she, not 10 years younger (at least actor-wise). I also don't think his character is supposed to be 10 years younger, but I've been wrong about this show more often than not, so who am I to say?
  15. I'm a little slow this week, so please bear with my questions. By the above, I am taking it to mean that Ava, while talking to Carlos, threatened to harm Sabrina, and Luke, while talking to Spenser, threatened to harm Emma? (Because otherwise, if Ava and Luke made threats to the faces of Sabrina and Emma, I am damned sorry I missed some episodes.)
  16. Welcome, FanaticalWriter. Glad you de-lurked. Thanks, WalkSoftly. Also, everyone, I feel like my grief killed the thread. Please resume your usual natter! I'll start. Sad parts of the week aside, my son's prom and graduation were great. Last night, we watched his "Moving On" video that some parents (who are better than I) put together, when they were "graduating" from elementary school. My word, his life has flown by like I was cursed and transported to Storybrooke, and held in stasis for 28 (well, 18) years. I had this infant and now he's a man. Suddenly, I empathize much more with Snow. How was everyone's weekend? Are you all getting this heat and humidity? I was looking forward to a few weeks of 60 degree weather, but it looks like that's not happening? Are you having a hard time adjusting to TWoP being gone? I still miss it. I'm a creature of habit, so even this slightly different layout can (and does, sometimes) throw me off, but these boards are pretty zippy, and pretty pretty. I'm grateful we have P.TV.
  17. Is this an in-show assessment, based on whenever it would have been that Maggie attempted in-vitro? I just ask, because the actor who plays Daniel is about a year and a half older than Missy Reeves.
  18. Do you think Morgan will forgive Ava for letting AJ take (or almost take) the fall for Connie's murder? I think Morgan might love Michael more than that. On the other hand, I guess there's more fodder for brotherly drama between Michael and Morgan if Morgan forgives Ava.
  19. To me, this all smells like a set-up so they'll marry so they can't be compelled to testify against each other. I really wish fake Luke was actual Luke, and that someone would take out both him and Sonny (or cart them off to prison). Couldn't we have a prisoner exchange -- those two for Johnny Z?
  20. I don't remember Luke and Ava calling Levi? I did miss some episodes, though. When did this happen? What were the respective conversations? I wonder if I blocked them out. The kidney thing is what makes me think it's Bill. This seems likely to me. In my head, Madeline hired Ava to seduce Silas in the first place. Next, Madeline's plan to make Nina miscarry backfired and ended with Nina in a coma, but she had a coma baby, which Madeline then paid Ava to raise as her own. This is how I make it work in my head that Ava was in love with Silas for all those years, but never tried to lure him back by telling him about their shared daughter: she was paid well not to do so.
  21. I had the same question about Dayton. In addition to a scratch or scar, there also seemed to be some bruising in the outer corner, in last night's episode. Discover Magazine agrees: I have a soft spot for Meri, so she hasn't usually gotten on my nerves. I was glad to see her drop her bomb. To me, their Sister Wives' Closet business is a non-starter, or at least, a finite opportunity, because once the show goes off the air (and how much longer can it continue?), how viable can it be? Although I suppose it's a better choice than a fitness center. Were I joining a fitness center, I would want the owners to be…fit. Maybe Janelle could revisit that option in a few years, provided she continues in her healthy lifestyle.
  22. Hi, everyone. I wrote for TWoP. Sister Wives is my guilty secret (or maybe just guilty pleasure, since I think I de-lurked in the TWoP thread, a couple of times).
  23. A weird thing happened today as we laid my mother-in-law to rest. http://cindymclennan.tumblr.com/post/88056396939/goodnight-dear eta… Scott's eulogy of his mom: http://cindymclennan.tumblr.com/post/88059317319/jean-marie-mccarthy-bossi-a-eulogy-by-scott-v-bossi
