British especially, but they use that T word that would insult us terribly here too and it's not meant with the heft of insult as it is here.

But he did mention Whoopi and Mika purrred, "ooh I love her!" Blergh.

Aside from the fact that Joy only does stale.

Paint a great big ole bulls eye on the beleaguered Debbie Wasserman Shulz,, Michael Bennet and Steve Israel. I really hope that Howard Dean comes back to the DNC leadership position with his upbeat messages and 50 state strategy. Remember 2006? About Ro and her attention to the lid and side-tracking the political conversation, I'm with Dreamboat Annie any reaction that she had to the election would have been twisted and fodder for Fox, NewsBusters, and whacked out looney Right Wing radio folks. p.s. Nicolle is on Morning Joe this morning so there goes that theory.

It's sad, realistically? I didn't need to vote, all my folks won handily but I'm old fashioned I guess? I believe that voting is not only a right but my civic obligation,it's beyond my understanding really that folks take their right to vote so lightly. We get the government, that we collectively deserve, sad to say.

I fell asleep pretty early due to the overall depressing nature of the evening, wish I hadn't missed angry Rachel, though for a Progressive, there is a lot to be angry about. Good to hear the gun thing worked out in Washington! -
Brokaw has cancer. Well that was predictable. Three hours of Joe crowing and bloviating.

It will be really interesting to see if/how Nicolle shifts (or not) with the second great mid-term shellacking of Democrats since Obama's election. Things went well in my state, but I know that doesn't help y'all or the country.

Laughs about Bernadette Peters appearing in the middle of that Page Six piece for no reason...

Who knows what's going on. At least amongst the insults we didn't get "Fat Rosie".

S19.E10: Week 8: Dynamic Duos
NextIteration replied to truthaboutluv's topic in Dancing With The Stars
I was struck that she's very thin, against her memories of being called too chubby for ballet. Not one other person in this cast, could have pulled off the beautiful lift that she did in that dance. That, is totally dependent on the type of lift executed. IMHO that is a terrible insult to trained dancers. -
All that chuckling and the fact that Nicolle was nowhere to be seen at her usual appointment time this morning on Morning Joe makes me wonder if her gig is up over there... given that she'll be part of the team covering the elections this evening on ABC. We'll have to see? I'm not familiar with Barbara Comstock but Joni Ernst has what I consider some pretty extreme views as well, but as a Republican, (did you know that Nicolle is a Republican?) I expect her to support her party on a day like to day. And I'm free to disagree with her, just as everyone else is. She was supposed to name four female Republicans and stuck with Joni Ernst today. She also very softly stuck in some other Republican talking points, I don't remember what they are but I deleted the show from my DVR. On any day, I would still prefer her to the shrill, uninformed, rapid (or is that rabid?) repetition that we got with Bitsy. She also expressed some really moderate opinions too. I'll continue to contend that she is a moderate Republican. There are so few around anymore, laughs, they are hard to recognize them in the wild anymore.

S19.E10: Week 8: Dynamic Duos

I certainly hope not given that Sadie has not trained in dance for a decade and a half like most kids that audition for SYTYCD have. You may not like Mark's choreography but I consider his piece more in keeping with Contemporary whereas Val's was more Lyrical, which generally is more balletic and follows the constructs of ballet, which include pretty pointed perfect feet. It was for last night, which is why they weren't below for the elimination - I think it's going to confuse a lot of folks because it wasn't really thoroughly explained. -
It's been the two weeks that she was originally slotted to be off, I really hope that it isn't breast cancer. Can't find any new "news" about it, except broad speculation about breast cancer.

That's what I thought. -
Live it up at that desk Joe, you won't be anywhere near it for actual election coverage. Happily a lot of the guests I enjoy, will be.

S19.E10: Week 8: Dynamic Duos

I'm staying on the black peeking out of her shorts and the modesty issue. 98% of the population will not know what they are and will assume they were her panties, and that goes to the subject of the modesty thrown in our faces factor. I'm not slamming Sadie, her's was my 2nd favorite dance of the night. What I don't like is the silliness we get from Bristol, Candace and now Sadie (though I'm much more sensitive to Sadie's case because she is also only 17) based on some arbitrary fundamental "Christian" rules of modesty. Look at how Mormon ballroom dancers dress and move, all the time. -

Oh they could have been black lollies too (gymnastic trunks) the point being though, they peeked out of her shorts. -

My bad, I thought it was supposed to be a Samba, lol. I miss the announcer telling us what the dance style is - and yes, now I'm exposed, sometimes I find it difficult to sort a Samba from a Salsa without Samba rolls.... -

Not only wearing short shorts in practice, but having her black panties peek out. So I see where Lea was called out for being too light on her feet, but her form was excellent in what Atem gave her (and the music was frustratingly slow) so here comes the bus. I counted, really I did, Janel's fifty some steps on the floor during her piece, that was one big lift and her feet looked awful, so why did she get a perfect score? More bus shenanigans going the other way. Mark's choreography had Sadie actually dancing, and it was a much more compelling piece - where was her perfect score? Loved Alfonso and Whitney! Why did Derek and Bethany not get dinged for a lift by CarrieAnn? Tommy and Michael should have been long gone based on dance, but Michael definitely deserved to go before Tommy. Michael is creepy, Tommy is charming, and Tommy can actually manage to move his hips. It's very difficult to watch the judging shenanigans on this show, or any show for that matter. -
So, predictably, she's just jumping on the controversy of Chris Rock's performance on SNL. ::eyeroll::

I have a Comcast DVR, it stalled at the conversation about right to die and Rosie P's acquaintance and just kept rewinding and then didn't pick up anything else.
-
How long does it take for them to load up the show? My dvr ate it, lol.
-
Good, I want to see it renewed, it's been on my DVR the whole time. (Should have done that with Lisa's last show!)

It is more complicated than that, you are right. But if you are logged into Google or from the same IP, it's unlikely that repeat viewing will increase view counts. Monetizing YouTube is based on reaching the most people, so there is an algorithm involved. My point is and remains, that one person repeatedly watching the same video will probably not increase the count. There are also bots that have been programmed, which you are most likely referring to that falsely increase counts - which Google/YouTube tries to ferret out.
