S06.E13: A Frat Party, a Sleepover and the Mother of All Blisters
Browncoat replied to Bort's topic in Young Sheldon
I have to say, I LOVED Dinosaurs. It was a great show. Also -- trackers on kids = cellphones. -
I had an exceptionally bad night tonight. I also couldn't figure out what exactly the FJ clue wanted -- team? organization? individual? If team, NBA? College? Not that I would have come up with the correct response even if I knew! Although, once revealed, it made perfect sense. As for TS, I only managed to get Tangled, Swami, Alabama, and Oslo.

Different Browncoat than me! 😉 -
I can't believe I missed FJ. I saw BOTH movies, God help me. TS I got were intestate, moon, and Jenny.
-
I thought this episode felt a lot like Old School Night Court.
-
I also said Venus for FJ! So no FJ for me. But I did get the TS of John Singer Sargent, shillings, Socialists, clay, Brazos, Oklahoma, and cylinders. I didn't miss any in the Tom Joad category -- surprising, since I hate Steinbeck and never actually read The Grapes of Wrath.

Heart Eyes: Actors, Characters, And TV Personalities You Love

James Garner, yes, please! And I'm going to add Richard Chamberlain to that list. -
Aww, poor Marty. But major props to Calvin for getting his money's worth.
-
Instaget FJ for me. I'm surprised that former champ missed it, but I'm happy Kendra won! I also got the TS of angiosperms, Mr. Tambourine Man, and Priestly.

In that commercial, that dog nearly does. It's got to be close to 20 years old, which is forever in Lab years. I like the commercial, but it's unrealistic for a Lab to be around more than about 10-12 years.

I thought maybe she's the George Lazenby.

Why Grammar Matters: A Place To Discuss Matters Of Grammar

Not a TV-related one, but something I just read on another message board, and it took me a few seconds to figure out what the person meant: "Another wards" -
Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"
Browncoat replied to Betweenyouandme's topic in Everything Else
Even worse, people have shot other people over a parking spot -- happened in Durham, NC on Black Friday one year when I lived there, and I've heard of it happening near where I live now, too. -
3/5 this week.

I knew when I saw the FJ category that I would not get it, and sure enough, I missed. I also said Chancellor, even though I knew it was so very wrong. But at least I did get Terry Bradshaw and Pat Benatar -- my only TS. It made me sad that none of the contestants knew Pat Benatar.

Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

We have three newish roundabouts on the street where I work, and it was comedy gold the day they opened. No one could figure them out, and some people tried to go around them in the wrong direction. We don't get that so much anymore, but we do still get the ones who treat the roundabout as a four-way stop. Drives me nuts. -
I did not recognize Laraine Newman at all. And I thought Isaac's accent slipped a bit while he was shouting. Otherwise, a great episode.

FJ was such an instaget for me, I was sure I was wrong. I am shocked that two of the contestants missed it. I also got the missed clues of Domino's, hermetic, Derringer, and voltaic. Congrats to Mira, but oh, the vocal fry.

I got FJ, although I was hesitant and unsure -- I thought I might have heard of a city named that, but wasn't sure if it was in Germany or somewhere else, or if I just made it up in my head. Good to know it's a real place. Of course I got Williamsburg, having lived there (and I still visit regularly), and I also got balk, A.A. Milne, and John Hancock.

Oh, good god. While I didn't hate Toy Story 4, I didn't think it was necessary to the franchise. I can't imagine a Toy Story 5 will add anything of value. However, being Pixar's bitch, I'll see it. However, I wouldn't mind a Zootopia sequel at all, assuming it's a reasonable story. Frozen? Eh.

Perhaps, and I suspect in time we'd get used to it, just like we are used to tiered pricing for concerts and plays.

It depends on whether or not you think Alex's "accents" were hints. In some cases, they absolutely were, even if badly done.

No joy in FJ-ville for me tonight. It's one of those that I could have sat here all night and not thought of it. Also no TS for me, although I did get the missed DD of sauna. It wasn't a hint. Wilde's name was in the clue.

The seats at the movie theater I went to in Edinburgh, Scotland had tiered pricing. The less expensive seats were generally the ones toward the front and on the sides, and mid-range priced seats were toward the back (where I generally like to sit). The most expensive were exactly in the middle. It didn't seem to bother anyone, and my "cheap" seats were fine. I would not have minded in the slightest if I'd gotten a bargain price for my front-section seat for "80 for Brady" this past weekend. (All the upper section was sold out!)
