  1. Are they trying to revive Gunne Sax? Those were all the rage many years ago. I remember them being very Little House on the Prairie.
  2. I managed to figure out "teeth" in French, but couldn't connect that to the name of any country, so no FJ for me tonight. It made perfect sense when Ken explained it, though. And I only got the TS of lava tube, amicus, synagogue, and Children's Crusade.
  3. Grover is an idiot. He's lucky he had any hair left at all.
  4. I should have gotten FJ, having recently watched "Aladdin", but alas, nothing would come to me. "After dinner" did not clue me in at all to nights. The only TS I got were out of hand, carefree, and index.
  5. The wand Grindelwald was using looked like the Elder Wand Dumbledore had (before Voldemort acquired it). I agree with that! I loved the crab/scorpion scene. "Swivel your hips more!"
  6. Instaget FJ for me tonight. But the only TS I got was cede seed. Also, Ken, Tracy Chapman didn't need a fast car. Her useless boyfriend/husband(?) had a fast car. I love that song, even though it breaks my heart every time I hear it.
  7. I enjoyed the Secrets of Dumbledore a lot. Like all of you, though, I am glad they sort of wrapped things up, just in case. I mean, yes, Grindelwald is still on the loose (and he has the Elder Wand), but if the series ends now, it'll be okay. I would like to see how Dumbledore ends up with the Elder Wand, and it might be interesting to see how he comes to have the Resurrection Stone as well. I'd also like to know how James Potter got the Invisibility Cloak, for that matter. I haven't delved too deeply into Pottermore -- maybe those questions are answered there. But I'm glad that Credence gets to go home with Aberforth, even if it's just for a short while. And I'm very glad they recast Grindelwald. I can't imagine Johnny Depp having that kind of chemistry with Jude Law. Mads and Jude were great together. I couldn't help but think of The Thomas Crown Affair (Pierce Brosnan version) when they each had a case to carry. I loved that each person's case reflected who they were -- Jacob's filled with pastry, Lally's with books, and I guess Theseus played Quidditch? Anyway, I got a kick out of it. Of course, Newt and Theseus imitating the crab/scorpion things was awesome. Did everyone notice that the jailer was missing his shiny silver tooth, too? I think my only quibble was that it was a bit on the long side. Oh, and that there wasn't enough Tina.
  8. I also got the family right, but didn't pick the right stepmother, so no FJ for me. I can never remember which of Henry's wives was when. The only TS I got were Eveready, Indiana, and plate tectonics.
  9. We had those, and later we had the plastic version. My parents still use them when they use paper plates.
  10. Never ever threaten to quit your job unless you actually mean it.
  11. I knew as soon as I saw the category for FJ that I was unlikely to get it, and I was correct. I had no idea what war that might have been. I could barely do the math to figure out when it might have been. But I did get the TS of hand off, filigree, 98, DOS, a sandwich, The Celestine Prophecy, Eastern Shore, and rabies. Man, I begged for the 64-crayon set with the sharpener, and I was just thrilled when I finally got it. That was the best ever crayon set. I actually laughed out loud at Mattea's "Porcelain Gorilla" story.
  12. Catching up from last night -- I had a brief bout of dyslexia and initially said "El Nino" for FJ, then re-read the clue. Right. Southeastern not southwestern. Then I thought something to do with Cuba, but discarded that quickly and came to the correct response in the nick of time. I also got the TS of lymphoma, charcoal, and Carrie Nation.
  13. I loved this movie! I kind of want to see it again to see what I missed the first time around. The continuity between universes was great -- Deirdre Beaubeirdre had a carpal tunnel brace on her ankle in the hot dogs fingers world! Although, I have to say, hot dog fingers world kind of creeped me out. But I'm sure there are so many other little tidbits like that that I missed. And it took me a little bit to really get into it, so I think a second viewing would be so worthwhile. Raccaccoonie was hilarious!
  14. I honestly haven't noticed if she's worn the same articles of clothing more than once.
  15. Instaget FJ for me -- helps that I've worked with vaccinia virus, I suppose. Bov was an interesting guess. TS I got were purple finch (purple robin? just no), Sir Walter Scott (thank you, Authors card game), poodle, and George Kennedy.
  16. I missed Season 1, but really liked Season 2 a lot. I think Season 3 (the clip is from Season 3) suffered from the pandemic, but it's still worth watching.
  17. I love this. When I first saw it on Miracle Workers, I had to rewind and watch again immediately.
  18. I recognized her, but her name didn't come to me in time. “As you all know first prize is a Cadillac El Dorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired.” “Put. That coffee. Down. Coffee's for closers only.” "Will. You. Go. To lunch."
  19. Instaget FJ for me tonight. I also got the TS of scale, Columbia River, and Glengarry Glen Ross.
  20. I prefer jeans that sit at my waist, and cover my poochy belly and butt crack, and I will die on that hill. I always feel like low-rise jeans are falling off.
  21. But the infuriating Dixie plates one is back -- the one where the guy is trying to carry a metric shit-ton of spaghetti and meatballs on a paper plate and drops it all on his date. Dude, if you had, oh, I don't know, REAL plates instead of any kind of paper plates, that would never happen. Also, if you're trying to impress your date by cooking dinner? Use REAL plates!
  22. I hope y'all mean "geezer" -- geyser is something else quite altogether. 😄
