I believe Jill must truly be a master at brainwashing like no other before her. The older kids don't exhibit a shred of evidence that they may breakout. I know their stories have not been told yet and I sincerely hope I'm wrong. Maybe somewhere down the line, one of them will escape. The Turpin children were locked up at home, barely ever let out, never talked to a stranger, and still, the oldest girls knew something was WRONG. If anyone watched the 20/20 episode about them, I can't shake it and I can't stop thinking about them when I read about Jill's crew. How has she so effectively brainwashed her children? These poor kids make the Duggers and other fundies appear almost normal. She's used the same tactics (isolation, fear, ignorance, hell and damnation, superiority) as other families we've seen, and yet she's done it with an entirely different level of horrifying success.

She is! She's been wearing a lot of these high-waisted, pleated trousers too and they look awful on her. They are just literally hanging on her. I imagine she did some big drop for the wedding. Hopefully, she can ease up and put some weight back on now.

No, I agree. He appears to have a very calm (and humorous) demeanor which I think is necessary with how high strung she is. He can probably shrug off or laugh off a lot of her antics. He looks like he's wearing a big sign that lights up "NORMAL" when you stand him next to any of his VPR counterparts: Jax, the Toms, James, Big Rand....... I think the biggest criticism (other than his "just rolled out of bed" look) is that he's lazy when it comes to being career driven. But do we really know? Stassi choosing Beau actually makes her look better. She can see a good egg and overlook his (possible) shortcomings. He also seems totally devoted, involved and sweet with Hartford. I know there was concern over how they were going to pay for that beautiful house that they bought but based off of the overseas gorgeous wedding (although admittedly small), they don't seem to be hurting for cash.

If you can believe it, those are just the rehearsal dinner photos. It totally looks like Stassi is wearing a wedding dress. I will say, all of the pictures have been stunning. Although, Beau always looks so unkempt and messy, even at his own wedding. Me too! I'm not even a baby person but she is so adorable!

I follow an instagram account that posed a similar question. Although, it went off of the guys being generally o.k. but that it's the girls who need to be injected with some new blood. The poll was would you rather see the group of Lindsay/Danielle or Amanda/Paige/Ciara/Mya stay? The results really went for keeping Amanda/Paige/Ciara/Mya. There were polls too for the individual castmates that were just a general vote if you like them or not. I don't think anyone was voted as being primarily disliked, most of the results seemed of the 70/30 variety (in favor of liking). I think Lindsay's was the closest to 50/50. But Andrea's was overwhelmingly in his favor! Over a 90% approval rating! What do we think about the guys? Do they need to stay or go? I'd like to move on from Carl and I don't think Alex contributed nearly enough of anything to be asked back.

I appear to be in the minority but I don't mind Paige. I think she's pretty but yes - something was different/off with her mouth! The whole look, combined with the never drying hair, I thought she looked pretty bad. And what the heck crawled up her butt and died? There must be some off-screen things we aren't privy to because she was just over the top with her disdain towards Lindsay. It was uncomfortable and seemed out of place and unnecessary. Carl looks like a schmuck with his defending of his "lady" **cough cough. Lindsay would fall for Ronald McDonald if he crossed her path and make him out to be the biggest love story of her life. You're not special, Carl. Why in the world do you think you're going to have any different outcome with this psycho? And frankly, who would want to? I'm sorry, maybe because I've seen it with a friend up close and personal, but what dude watches a girl throw it around and then wants to be the next in line and acts like he's won some coveted prize? No slut shaming. But it's not like this is some random next conquest of Lindsay's who only has to hear about her Hot Hubbs Summer. Carl has had a front row seat to all of her antics. I still don't understand Danielle. At times she seems like the calmest and sanest of this group and I want to like her. But I cannot get over her rabid defense of Lindsay. Is Lindsay blackmailing her or something? Lindsay is a grown woman who has shown she has no problem sticking up for herself. Any comment directed at her and Danielle is falling off the couch ready to go to battle. It's odd and extreme. And I understand violence is never the answer, but are we taking wine-glass-gate a little bit too far? It left a bruise? You're filled with hate? It's not like Ciara pulled a knife on her and in the footage, Danielle clearly throws something back at her. Time to get over this one.

I sat and rolled my eyes so hard throughout this episode I'm not sure they're coming back down. The repeated narrative by everyone, with the bride and groom leading the pack, is that if you have the most God awful, hateful, drama and cheating filled relationship but for some insane reason, you refuse to break-up and you end up at the alter, you are somehow SUPERIOR to others because you soldiered on!! Are you kidding me? Relationships suck because you need to part ways, not because you need to double down and continue the nightmare. One of the reasons I knew my husband was the one was because it was so gosh darned easy. So shut up Amanda and Kyle and we all look forward to your very special divorce episode once Amanda grows up. I'm typically a sucker for weddings but there was nothing sacred, loving or touching about that circus. I really felt for Amanda's parents. It was especially visible with her Dad. She's a grown woman so what can they do?

House Hunters International - General Discussion
Vivigirl10 replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in House Hunters International
It's funny that you say that because I thought she looked eerily like Alison! I got the feeling that Jenny and Adrian kind of hated each other. Adrian made a few digs (get over it!) and they would both look at each other and do that big, open mouthed laugh all the while wanting to roll their eyes. It was kind of funny watching it through that lens! That elevator - yikes! My first apartment in Chicago was a studio with baby -sized appliances, a kitchen in the wall that hid behind folding doors, and a bathroom that you had to walk through the closet to get to. It was glorious. But such is being young - couldn't (or wouldn't want to) do it now! -
Cruz is a cute kid but it's not like he has some stunning head of curls that would pain you to cut off. It's pretty average, wispy hair of the baby variety. And it generally looks quite messy, even pulled into a baby manbun. I'd like to know what reason they give too.

Cameran Eubanks: The Greek Chorus for Y'All
Vivigirl10 replied to methodwriter85's topic in Southern Charm
I liked that Cam voiced her concerns over having a child and it seemed real to me. It was something that definitely resonated personally with me. I'm sure it does with a lot of women, but society really frowns upon vocalizing it and certainly upon those who make the decision not to have children. I stayed single for exactly the reason of avoiding the situation that Cam found herself in; with a husband you love who wants to have kids. I got married after the option was pretty much biologically not on the table anymore! RedDelicious, I feel every bit of your post. When I was 40 years old, still unmarried and childless, the women around me treated me like a freak from another planet. I had moved from a major city and it was a big shock. If you didn't have kids to talk about, there was no conversation to be had. Doesn't anyone have hobbies, watch t.v., read books?? Lord! I'm gauging I'm a little older than you and I promise, it DOES get better!! Kids get older and parents find themselves in a much different state that you will benefit from. Sorry to get off topic but this subject always pulls at my heartstrings. Snarts - Great post and yes, join the party! -
Amanda needs to stop with this "giving away pieces of your heart" stupidity. Is she a fundie now? Because that's the same stale line the Duggars use as to why they don't date. I'd be more worried about Lindsey's likely collection of STD's than her heart. Also...."Grandpa's trust"? Interesting. I have no understanding of the scramble to complete the wedding activities. By the time you're this close to your wedding date, you're finally coasting because everything's done. And as other's have mentioned, they have a planner! If the florist did indeed pull the plug on their wedding, someone must have done some MAJOR asshole move. What vendor is going to cancel on two influencers that would provide a ton of free social media advertising? No way. Are we supposed to believe that Paige , who just like a million trillion other little girls in NYC dreams of working in fashion, just randomly landed a gig on Access Hollywood on her own accord? It's obviously because of her being on reality t.v. but that never fits the narrative of these shows. I'm honestly kind of surprised they showed it. For being such a fashionista, I was super surprised at the extremely lackluster outfit she chose to wear for the segment! I thought that must have been for some kind of rehearsal but no, that's what she really wore. At this point, I'm expecting to hear Craig explain that he's giving Paige a diamond ring and wants to spend the rest of his life with her but please......you are NOT my girlfriend so don't get the wrong idea about this!

Cameran Eubanks: The Greek Chorus for Y'All
Vivigirl10 replied to methodwriter85's topic in Southern Charm
Cam just released an ad campaign for a capsule collection she partnered with Tuckernuck on. The pictures are dreamy and supposedly reflect her daily activities. You know, here's my special dress for dinner with my husband and another special dress for walking on the beach. And here are some pants for bike riding....wheeee! Did you know I like to crab too? Meaning, it paints a pretty idealistic life. The spread reflects what a lot of women wish their life would look like but realistically (and I include Cam in this) I doubt anyone's does. I've liked Cam since her Real World Days and she's always appeared spunky and bucking the norm a bit. I have to wonder what really goes on with her behind closed doors? Is she content with a life of domestic bliss? Are she and Jason really happy together? I don't know why I don't completely buy it with her. -
I assumed with those two that the whole thing was sponsored/comped? Everything was "themed"! Jax always looks so fake in pics, acting like some perfect 1950's husband and Dad. We see you. We know who you really are Jax. He's not going to be able to keep the facade up forever.

And what about that investigator?!! "He told me his story, why would I not believe it"? Are you kidding me? That was all his investigation was! I too had to look away from all the dead animal pictures. There was absolutely no reason to show those. They could have cropped the dead animal out of the photo. The pictures of the hunters alone with their triumphant smiles was sickening enough. Her unattractiveness was clearly the result of elective cosmetic surgery(ies). I'll comment on her appearance because she chose to make herself look like that. I honestly kept thinking there would be a twist with the daughter. She was constantly mentioned but wasn't interviewed. Was that just to lend credence to how much of a saint her Mother was?
-
Ok - I feel exactly the same. No real noticeable difference in her weight. Her major problem really has nothing to do with baby weight....it's those unholy giant boobs she (or Jax) chose to curse herself with. If she didn't have the implants, she wouldn't look so out of proportion and heavy. I follow her on Instagram and she does appear committed to working out with a trainer. I have no idea what her diet consists of though (or booze intake).

I'm sure many can counter this statement but I find it a little odd that as an adult woman, your new best friend and deep confidant is a man you are not romantically interested in. It just seemed a little weird and makes me lean towards Tim and Becky together identifying Linda as a "mark". I think Tim was in on the embezzlement (or at least knew about it). Even her kids said they were like "who are these people" when they started showing up as "best friends" and no one had ever heard about them or seen them before. It just struck me as weird. You had Rendell, who lived in the boonies with no cell service (he probably wasn't that much different in his younger years?), and a well-off attorney to choose between. Yeah, I chuckled at why she made that choice too! Thank you! I didn't care about the arrest but why didn't they tell the family after the service?

Christina On The Coast - General Discussion
Vivigirl10 replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Christina On The Coast
I really feel for all her children, but probably Taylor the most. She's old enough to understand and take in every single thing her Mother is doing. She also remembers when her parents were still together. Taylor and Tarek seem close so I hope he is there for her as she navigates growing up with this dysfunctional woman as her Mother. Sadly, I'm not sure I have much hope that Heather is any better than Christina in terms of being a role model for Taylor. I think Heather performs for the cameras, but I've never sensed any real warmth exuding from her towards the kids. I don't know how old Brayden was when the divorce happened? For Braydon and Hudson, this circus of instability that their Mother has provided is sadly what they have known for most of their lives (really all of Hudson's). So maybe they will be able to adapt and navigate it better. Which is sad in its own right. Give it a few months and we'll get yet another social media post from Christina asking that we all respect her "privacy" as she navigates yet another divorce. Well lady, maybe you shouldn't be putting all your business so "out there". Apparently, she hasn't learned that lesson yet. -
Just caught up on many pages of posts! Please Jill, don't ever stop being you. You are my source of entertainment during slow times at work. I get sick over the thought of Tim getting married. He may not be physically abusive (who knows though) but I 100% believe he will be emotionally abusive. He'll view a wife simply as something to order around and who needs to do whatever he demands. I don't have any confidence he will figure out how to relate on any level to a woman. He's one creepy dude in a really bad way. I'm sad about Nurie being pregnant. Too many kids and not enough money, next stop. I tried to find Nathan's church online but I'm thinking it's too small and doesn't have a website? There are other Anchor churches and I found it super enlightening to read about the Pastors. Most have doctorates and one wife even had a Master's degree that was highlighted! Her husband was just pursuing his! But in the fundie circle if you're a dude you can have a "calling" and that's the only qualification you need. Infuriating. Jill's massive post on the evils of social media just boggles the mind. Jill, if it's so evil, why are you posting ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA about the EVILS OF SOCIAL MEDIA then??? She needs to turn the mirror around and look at her reflection. Every single thing she condemns, she herself is the biggest offender of. The niece's wedding was tragic. Beyond the sad state of the bridesmaid dresses, no one noted that the groom was wearing friggin' gym shoes with his mismatched coat and pants? I'm sure even Walmart sells dress shoes!! Go thrift a pair!

Agreed. I don't even know why they bothered to stage the whole bit where the police officers came to her door. Was she supposed to confess something when they left, I suppose? While I do truly believe she wanted her husband and the daughter killed, it pains me to say that you could view the whole situation as just "talk". An odd fail on the FBI's part. John made me sick. What father could even "pretend" to talk about having his daughter killed? He seemed more emotional over her little boy than his own flesh and blood daughter! I am still highly fearful that Isaiah and the daughter may come to harm when she gets out of prison. Isaiah because she wants custody of their son, and the daughter because it's the perfect revenge on John setting her up.

Was I supposed to feel sympathy for Sarma? Sad for her? Connected to her in anyway? Because I ended up hating this dull little idiot by the end. The fact that she didn't apologize to anyone and took zero accountability for her actions is mind-boggling. "Poor baby" seemed to be all that she exuded. Did she and Anthony ever have any type of real "relationship"? Their timeline and the progression of the relationship was very hard to follow. Indicated by their taped conversations, it seems they were rarely together. She was hateful to him on the phone, snotty, condescending and challenging, but then they'd always get together again. Why?? I found it interesting about how they never showed any full body photos of him during the time period they were married. The staff at the restaurant was dumbfounded as to why she was with him. Putting two and two together, it was easy to assume he was grossly overweight. The final reveal of the mugshot and the "Hamburgler" comment was golden!! I'll be honest, the way Anthony would scream at her and the repeated use of the "f" word at her would have made me run long before I even found out about his cosmic status and black ops job. Good Lord. What a winner. Totally agree that if she had been an unattractive woman, none of these breaks would have happened for her and none of these people would have been so drawn into her orbit. Goodness knows it didn't appear to be because of her glittering personality. Leon deserves immortality for being dragged along into this mess!
