  1. That was a damn satisfying episode. My 14 year old son had a half day today, so he was home while I was watching, and he was team Queric just from today. Kept telling Pam and Charlie to get out.
  2. Yep. He pulled the trifecta of screwing over his sons. A little something for each of them in that grossness.
  3. It probably wouldn't hurt to try tweeting at him, maybe?
  4. OK, I know these are all English words you've typed, but they make no sense. None. None at all. What the hell is wrong with people????
  5. This is totally the early McBain/Natalie stuff from OLTL. Except those two had better chemistry and it was a better written "oh woe is me, I have a dead chick in my past but I'm really into this girl" story than any of the other versions of it ME has done since then. Actually, it's a little bizarro world sometimes when I glance up at the Dr. Michael Easton/Greenlee scenes, because it's a similar story line, and, from the back, RB's hair has this reddish hue to it under the lights, so it's like "wait Natalie and McBain?" And damn if I can remember who killed him (or even remember that he existed until someone mentions him). I just want to see Julian figure out that, if it weren't for Ava fucking with Morgan's meds, his ass would have blown up in that car, instead of Morgan's useless ass. Then he can just high-five her, teach her how to better dispose of evidence, and never speak of it again. Oh, God, they're going to do a "The City" thing, aren't they? They closed GH, and everyone's talking about moving... Hey, as long as neither one of them ever says "time to meet Grandpa!" Either Grandma is fine, but just say no to the Grandpas. Well, unless Ned becomes an honorary Grandpa. That's fine.
  6. She'd look so good with a nice bob that hits about halfway between the chin and collarbone.
  7. I think it's one of those things where he knows he can rage at his mother, because she loves him and she'll take it, but he loves her, and he is actually happy for her that she has someone like Eric who loves her like this. I think a lot of people tend to take their pain out on people who they know can take it, and who will love them just the same after the venting.
  8. Are there like a half dozen writers responsible for the Claudette crap who rotate writing each day without even taking a passing glance at what anyone else has written for her? Because that's the only way this shit makes any sense at all.
  9. I think there's something to that. And it may not specifically be that the engagement is solely to shoot the bird to WWE, as much as their being against it (along with her family, and, likely, some of her friends and fans) makes it all that much more exciting and romantic. I've said before that, for a lot of people in her age range, movies have kind of given them the impression that, the more opposition or hurdles your relationship faces, the more romantic it all is. So, to her, all this drama means it is just meant to be. And WWE definitely seems to be not OK with this whole relationship. I know I saw a story not too long ago about them not wanting her going out to sit and watch his matches. And, I believe they split them up in the brand split, where they seem to have made a point of putting other couples on the same brand. Even if they were tempted to just look the other way and wait for it to play out, the changes in her behavior would have convinced them that this is not good and has a detrimental effect on her performance and career. Of course, factoring both of those positions in, I think that, if WWE wasn't strongly opposed to it and her friends and family didn't oppose it, the relationship likely would have fizzled out by now. But, having said that, I still think that WWE wasn't wrong to be against it, and you certainly can't blame her friends and family for not being thrilled about her getting involved with a guy who's married with kids, has a habit of cheating, and is practically old enough to be her father. Not many people would just ignore all those red flags when they see a loved one making that kind of mistake.
  10. Agreed, They're completely ruining all of the potential this story had. It should have been that Ridge was thinking Brooke was completely on his side and only marrying Bill for the shares, but, Brooke actually loves Bill, this is just pushing up the timetable on when she would have eventually married him, anyway. Then, she would have been the one who saw that Quinn and Eric really love each other, so she wouldn't have sided against them. It could have all culminated in a board room scene where Brooke is voted in as the new CEO, with the support of Bill's shares, Eric, and, eventually, Rick. Instead, our big climax is probably going to be Brooke screwing over Bill because she's inexplicably wildly in love with Ridge again, despite all evidence to the country over the past few years. Pass.
  11. It's such crappy story telling that Quinn doesn't have a single person on her side (other than Eric). We should see someone - Pam, Brooke, Rick, Maya - who sees how much they love each other, who sees that her presence helps Eric calm down and feel happier and healthier. That person should be starting to push back on the rest of the family a little bit. Instead, not only does she not have a single member of Eric's family who is willing to see their relationship how it is, but not even her own son can have her back. This sucks. They could redeem themselves if they had Waffles accompany Steffy to visit Eric, and he sees Quinn and Eric together and starts to think that Quinn does genuinely love Eric, and vice versa.
  12. The fact that Steffy is going to go back to Wyatt after having her night with Waffles just confirms to me that, compared to his brother, Waffles is a real dud in bed.
  13. This is exactly what his "get rid of the IRS" talk is. He knows that "smaller government" is a big buzzword for not only the Libertarians, but also the Tea Party. And, since some portion of those groups see taxes as the government stealing from us (and the ones who don't still resent how much of their money is paid into taxes that don't, in their minds, directly benefit them), what better campaign policy than to eliminate the IRS? Two birds, one stone. He has no idea how he'd accomplish that or why it's completely not a feasible thing. He just knows that it's a great rallying cry for the voting base he's aiming for. Stein is basically the same. She knows what plays to her base (AKA the disgruntled Bernie voters) - get rid of student loan debt being the big one. So she says she'll do it, but, again, she has no idea how to do it (because it's not something that could be done without having huge ramifications on the economy). Instead of going for something more realistic - like easing back on the interest on student loans - she goes over the top, for something that is just not feasible. Then, to cover that she's in over her head, she pretends to understand a concept (one she clearly does not understand), and condescendingly tells the rest of us "you don't need to understand it, it's like a magic trick." No, no it's not. It's also not something that you, as President, would just be able to do. It's like they're so afraid of losing their "outsider" status that they can't risk being known to consult with any policy experts who could explain to them whether it's possible to implement their ideas and how to do so, or how to adjust their ideas to fit reality.
  14. God those two insufferable asses patting themselves on the back over not actually engaging in intercourse while they express their fake concern over Wyatt's pain. So gross.
  15. I seriously snort-laughed a her "something that's unbreakable" line. Oh, honey, no. Literally every single line of that caption screams unhealthy obsession.
  16. I could swear I remember him getting memories back. Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Wasn't there some point where he was able to do something medical that Jason Q knew how to do?
  17. It's weird, because I saw her on a rerun of a Disney Channel show the other day, in a guest role, and she had way more life there than she does here. I mean, it's not like she was Heather Tom there, but she wasn't so flat, like she is here.
  18. I was so glad to see John address Jill's "it's a magic trick" thing. When one of her supporters told me on social media that "she's going to erase all student debt!" I asked "How do you envision her actually doing that? Because I'm not comfortable placing my trust in someone who can only describe her policy as 'a magic trick'." They promptly blocked me after telling me to fuck off for being negative. Those "most patient man" clips always crack me up. I really don't know how he maintains that calm expression through all that shit. Joe Exotic is less insane than Drumpf. And infinitely more honest.
  19. In the writers' room: "why would Laura's boyfriend care about the hospital closure?"
  20. I know that's how it would work in the real world, but I could see a soap taking liberties there to get to a plot point. Maybe say that someone in the administration stopped cutting checks to the insurance companies for premiums when they closed, so the insurance companies put a halt to any outgoing payments to hospital employees. (Again, I know that, in the real world, it wouldn't exactly go like that, but in terms of how much this show mucks up insurance in general, it's less egregious than some of the shit they've pulled. Like a police officer and nurse going broke when the officer was injured in the line of duty.)
  21. It's weird that we're not getting an acknowledgement of that, because isn't that same situation how we got Jason Morgan anyway? He eventually recovered his Jason Q memories, but he never really felt fully connected to those memories. So it would make sense for the show to acknowledge that it was happening to him again - that he remembers all of this stuff, but he hasn't really found that connection to some parts of his old life. (And this is where him having more scenes with Monica would work, or maybe some scenes with Robin the next time Kim pops in for a couple days. They are the ones who had relationships with him as Jason Q and Jason M, so they'd recognize some of the similarities.)
  22. If the hospital is closed down indefinitely (and possibly sold soon), is anyone getting paid? I know there should be short term disability insurance in place that would be paying her at least a portion of her salary, but, depending on the hospital's status, and whatever story line liberties the writers feel like taking, they may be saying that since the hospital is closed, she's out of luck.
  23. It actually occurred to me when we saw Zende telling Sasha about them asking Nicole again that Sasha may step up and volunteer to carry this baby, so that Nicole won't have to. She may figure "I just broke things off with Thomas, and Nicole and Zende haven't had much time to enjoy their relationship yet, so this is something I can do for both of my sisters." And she sees how smoothly things went with Nicole, in terms of being able to happily hand the baby over to Rick and Maya, so she doesn't think it will be any different for her. But, given her own issues around family (and not really feeling like she's ever had much family for most of her life), she might end up finding it much harder to part with her baby after carrying him/her for nine months and giving birth. Maybe by the time she's close to giving birth, she's back with Thomas, and he's recently found out that he's not Douglas's father after all, and the two of them end up squaring off against Rick and Maya over custody of this baby.
  24. That's what I was thinking. I'm guessing that someone within his camp or the party has drawn a firm line on the lawsuit thing, so his work around is having Melania sue. Her threat to sue over whether or not she exchanged a cordial greeting with a reporter on the street one day was so bizarre that it has to be the case. So, in this case, yeah, he'll have Melania sue over the various Melania appearances on the show instead of him suing over Alec's impersonation. In both cases, we know what he's really pissed about is his part (the assault allegation and Alec's impersonation of him), and he likely doesn't even give a shit over the Melania stuff, which is all relatively harmless fluff, but it's a way to sue them regardless. I think a part of it is also that there's just more material to work with in the Trump camp. I noticed on this week's WU that Colin (and, to a lesser degree, Michael) seemed to be staying away from a joke-y delivery on the Trump stuff. Colin seemed genuinely disgusted with some of the Trump stuff he was covering. I wonder if that was a conscious decision, to not treat the really awful and serious accusations against him as just one more "oh that wacky Trump!" thing, or if it's just his natural reaction to it all. Loved Bruno Mars. They could have him on multiple times per season, and I wouldn't get sick of him. He's one of the few musical guests that I never FF.
