Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
suomi replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
IIRC one home sold, which probably brought in enough to stay current with mortgage and associated costs in Vegas and rental and living expenses in Flag. But ... it has taken/is going to take so long to sell all four homes that having to use the Vegas money for current living expenses is draining the build fund month by month, before they even get their griftng paws on it. -
Loved the edit Robyn got when they arrived in her new neighborhood. Smile-talking like a ventriloquist and pretend-friendly waving at the neighbors. She was saying smile and wave, wave and smile, we want them to like us. Was one person sorta snippy? I didn't quite catch it, Robyn said I agree or I'm the same way. The one neighbor was horrified - Who are all these people?" You know she meant kids. If only one person on that street has the homeowner's contact info she is the one - and you know she used it ASAP!

Joy should have stood up, smiled sweetly, said "You will see me again when five mature adults are sitting at this table," blown a kiss to the audience, and calmly walked out of the building without another word to anyone.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

They don't have the "build" money until the Vegas homes sell. And when they sell, they still won't have the build money if all four homes don't sell for the right amount. -
Why are her palms and her soles discolored? Her ankles and the tops of her feet are filthy! All flab, zero muscle tone. For someone who is nearly exclusively photographed in athletic wear she is one hot freakin' mess. "Yoga teacher training in Bali" ... ? But of course.

If you're against the morning after pill, don't take one. If you're against abortion, don't have one. They're called choices, Elizabeth, people make choices.

I think it's fine for an adult with a fully formed personality who is going through a rough patch but creepy for a baby. This is a popular thing now but it's for kids old enough to choose their affirmations, like 4-5-6 years old. I looked at a couple infant affirmation links but they were for mothers - because no one needs affirmation more than a tired, overwhelmed, maybe tense and cranky newborn parent who doubts her abilities. One video about affirming your baby/toddler was aimed at the humble brag crowd: I am a worthy and capable person; I am strong and at the same time humble; I am a caring and sensitive person; I master new tasks easily and have a very high degree of self-esteem; etc. All of which is way over a toddler's head let alone a baby. I think True's affirmations are mostly about Khloe, who is an odd duck, and partly about how she sees True. And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

That made no sense. Are we sure she went to big school?

Not sure where it came from but we used to call that "Let's make it snappy 'cause I got people to see, things to do and fish to fry." (It was optional to add something like: Hendrix, Clapton and Jagger are coming for dinner and I haven't dusted for three weeks).

Where you been? Vacation? Nice to see you back. 😉

Hadn't considered that. Also, re my pet theory, he would have to think long and hard about standing for election because the Equal-Time Rule mandates that radio and TV stations must provide all official opposing candidates with equal air time, for the same price. Documentaries and some interviews and discussing a news event on a newscast don't count. (Like a mayor or governor talking about an earthquake or a tornado, etc). MJ definitely would count, from the moment he announced his candidacy. He would need to make the jump when his contract expires or, who knows, perhaps his contract is written that way and he could leave without penalty under that circumstance. Can we even imagine his campaign being covered by MSNBC and CNN, warts and all? Let's throw that out to Universe!

I tend to agree but OTOH I don't think Robyn is the only Robyn out there and in their culture the woman makes the first move. If she tells Kody that the spirit told her to approach him, which she would do because that's how the concept is meant to unfold, he has an obligation to consider her proposal. I can see him taking another wife because doing so would ensure her salvation and increase his worthiness.

Nice touch! The Motown-adjacent smooth and mighty O'Jays. (They smile in your face) All the time they wanna take your place The back stabbers (back stabbers) My favorite O'Jays song is Love Train. Anyone who watched Soul Train knows Love Train. My little brother's BFF Mike had a fantastic 'fro. He came to my daughter's first birthday party and she liked him right away and keep staring at his hair. We were hippies and she was a little bit unsure around her grandpas because they had short hair but Mike was immediately OK in her book. I saw the little wheels turning in her head: I know this guy - Mommy watches him every Saturday when she turns up the TV real loud and pretends she can dance. That was the first time I saw her "get" something that wasn't related to herself. That was in '72 and he executed my brother's will when he died a few months ago. They were each other's executors and now Mike has to find someone else. 😞

Good to know, thank you. So they still got a healthy discount on out-of-state tuition because of the western states compact. These states participate: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Since we talk about food a lot because of Janelle I thought I would ask this here: does anyone have a Ninja Foodi? Is the commercial accurate? Is it worth the price ($200 everywhere: the website, WalMart, Amazon)? It has about 350 4.6 reviews on Amazon so I'm really, really tempted but, to me, that's a lot of money so I thought I should ask here first. The time frame is tight, it was a short honeymoon. The election was November 8, holiday pajamas MJ was December 23, the blowup was initiated on NYE, Trump initiated a separation well before the inaugural on January 20. Joe said he went alone to M-A-L on December 30, claiming that 45 asked why he came without Mika. If that part is true, perhaps her fillers hadn't sufficiently settled or she was still icing her neck. Vanity Fair reported that Mika told Melania on NYE that she'd had the skin on her neck tightened. Vanity Fair reported that Joe said 45 was impressed enough to ask for the name of her doctor. That was the "face lift" he tweeted about. According to 45 they had expected comped accommodations and were miffed at not getting them. Perhaps that explains 45's version that they showed up on three separate nights. After Maggie Haberman spotted them on NYE their story was that they were finalizing the details for an exclusive interview, which evidently takes more than three visits. Joe thinks the telling detail is that they weren't formally dressed. The only public photo is a head shot so who knows how dressed down they were. Joe said they got mixed up with party goers while trying to follow directions from the Secret Service, yet the photo clearly shows them standing with and talking to 45. They had no plans for NYE and were desperate enough to show up at M-A-L during what anyone knows is the time for a big bash to be underway? And you know Maggie hasn't regretted taking that photo because that's how it all unraveled. I'm guessing she was never a friend of the show? LOL I'm enjoying this new-to-me morsel that Joe wanted his band to perform at an inaugural function. It never ends with these two. There is some truth in all of their lies. Barnicle's plagiarism and Brian Williams' "embellishment" pale in comparison.

I tend to agree, but the media's take seems less sensational now. Forfeiting $10,000 cash on a $100,000 bond and agreeing to perform community service are the actions of someone who is tacitly admitting to the charges even though the matter did not proceed to trial. The outcome is a branch on the "Not guilty and innocent are two different things" tree.

Maybe she bought bananas first thing when she got home. We need to memorize this guy's face.

Not only that the houses aren't selling but each one still requires a monthly payment - and they couldn't turn off the utilities - and each house has an HOA payment every month. Be still, my cold, cold heart.

The head tilt and lean-in "tells" that the guy on the right is into her. Too bad she was leaving town when she handed off the rum.

Just spitballing, but maybe Day'un heard about NAU from a high school guidance counselor or from a friend. Also, Wiki says this: "As of fall 2017, 31,057 students were enrolled, 22,376 at the Flagstaff campus. The average cost of tuition and fees for a full-time, Arizona resident undergraduate student for two semesters is $11,059, and out-of-state undergraduates pay an estimated $24,841. NAU also participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program, which offers lower tuition rates for students from the Western United States. For 2017–18, WUE tuition and fees are $16,078. NAU offers Flagstaff undergraduate students the Pledge Program, which guarantees the same tuition rate for four years." Did they move to AZ in time to qualify as residents so he could pay in-state tuition? If not, $16,000 beats the hell out of nearly $25,000.

Wowzer. The camera caught her ripping up her cards. Four f-bombs from Little Miss Sunshine in how many minutes? Barbara was calm and measured. It was hard to catch, what did she say when Lizzie interrupted her ... "I barely started" ... ? Hoo boy, there's nothing as good as someone pulling their own covers - "It's one thing in meetings but not on the air." The twitterverse is gonna love this.

Bill Clinton, which would explain her many years of spite on the show toward all Clintons? Or the son of the president of Lebanon, in the south of France, when he made her sunbathe topless and watch porn later? You can't make this stuff up and you don't need to because they talk about it on national TV.

Thank you! I knew it was something good but couldn't summon the details. I wish we could pin your post so we can point to it when a newbie asks why Robyn is disliked by so many here.
