What was said about the Phoenix Lights? I remember it so well. I bought the book and DVD about it. There was another incident in the SoCal desert around the same time.

Was Sam Stein there today? He's a repeat offender when it comes to sniffing/sniffling and throat clearing off-camera.

The extremely small round table in the breakfast nook looks like it came from the balcony of a teeny tiny studio apartment. The only way they could sit closer would be if she was on his lap. Watching the depth of their obsession with each other play out amuses the hell out of me. Their greed and arrogance played a huge part in a process which has resulted in the heartbreaking and perilous situation unfolding in Syria and Turkey. I laugh to stop myself from crying.

So, if hummus is made with garbanzo beans (and sorta looks like someone already ate it) - does that mean it's similar to refried beans which is made with pinto beans (and sorta looks like someone already ate it)? I LOVE refried beans. My hell, I've never tried hummus because I thought it was tofu or soy or ... something else scary. -
IA, it's confusing and I've wondered that also. Over the years I've seen some houses that increased by 15-20K over reno and a couple by 35K+. But those are exceptions to the usual very small rate of return. Is labor a part of what the show counts as being spent or does that figure refer only to materials? As a general rule, do cosmetic improvements bring a higher rate of return than health and safety and structural changes (because those usually aren't "seen")? I should've been keeping better track of that, obviously! As for Loving or Listing - it's the rare show when I'm not yelling at the screen "You better love it, you bitches" because I hate to move and I always like what Hillary does. She wins far more often than he does so that's a big part of why I watch. I'm not good with mathematical concepts so I wonder about one aspect: When the owners (supposedly) fork out 100K for the reno and David tells them the value increased by 110K so now they can easily afford the new home - they could have afforded the new home anyway if their 100K had gone straight to their buy-in instead of to the reno, right? Or no? I say supposedly because I have read that the owners and the show split the reno cost 50/50. Anyway, "Love it, you bitches."

Wait a minute - are you saying that we don't really know much about any of them but, because of how they conduct themselves in public, we come to our own conclusions and form our own opinions and then we type stuff related to those conclusions and opinions and we post it here, because that's a big part of what this site is about? Color me perplexed! -
Eddie Glaude demonstrated today that he has the temperament of a saint. Shall we take a vow that if any of us ever are within earshot of Joe we will ask him if Mica already signed an NDA and report on his response here? Or if the encounter is with her, ask her the question? I'm in!

The hag's kids have been baptized, ah, okay, I get it now. Except I don't. Just when I think this bunch can't get more hypocritical, they do. Hmmm, WWJS (What Would Jesus Say) about: The love of money (which is the root of all evil); constant, in-your-face hypersexuality; sex before marriage, sex outside of marriage, children outside of marriage; the display of rampant personal extravagance intended to inspire envy; adoration of material things; constant displays of barely clothed and naked bodies intended to inspire lust; using religion to peddle their wares to those attending the "service;" zero to extremely minimal acts of charity in comparison with their wealth; the sexualizing of children, which has already begun with North and surely will begin with Chi as soon as she reaches the appropriate age (4 or 5, evidently). Smite them! Saying all of that brings me to this point: DRC (Delusions with Religious Content), which includes the sub-category of grandiose/messianic delusions. Messianiac: a state of mind in which an individual holds a belief that they are destined to become a savior. The term can also refer to a state of mind in which an individual believes that he or she is responsible for saving or assisting others. https://www.verywellmind.com/religious-factors-in-bipolar-disorder-380485 https://www.mdedge.com/psychiatry/article/64584/schizophrenia-other-psychotic-disorders/how-care-patients-who-have Unfortunately, Kanye's wife and her family members are complicit in his delusions - plus, they have their own delusions related to their narcissism and greed - so they cannot be the least bit helpful in assessing or helping to manage him. Disclaimer: I'm an atheist and a reformed lifelong wild child who is reformed only because I'm so old now that I'm not interested in the only ones left who might want me. Also, I don't/never did preach my beliefs on street corners while peddling $220 sweatshirts and $60 socks. Come at me, LOL. -

All Episodes Talk: TRMS 2019 Season
suomi replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Rachel Maddow Show
Because it follows a "New" special called Trump & Ukraine: Impeachment Crisis, I believed it. Bastards! Good to know, thank you. -
Exactly. When they hide it and then give it back they're teaching him that they will hide it, tell him he can't have it/they can't find it and then they will give it back. Duh. So, what, Maddie has no experience with children? She was an only child who never did any babysitting, she lived in a little house on the prairie and the neighbors who had kids lived far, far away? I don't get it.

All Episodes Talk: TRMS 2019 Season
suomi replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Rachel Maddow Show
If anyone is interested, my DISH guide indicates that TRMS is airing a Special Report tonight which is captioned as "New." It's listed at 8 pm Mountain Time which would be 10 pm Eastern, 9 pm Central and 7 pm Pacific. -
Eventually, yes. Now, not so much. I'm not clear on how that isn't obvious. I'm not aware of rage-induced vomiting being a laudable concept in child-rearing.
-
Three hours of rage followed by vomiting is a big deal, to him. He's closer to 2.5 than 2. In baby years, when tracking the length of time his brain has been addicted, that's a big difference.
-
Either she uses the term "teacher" loosely or I smell BS. He was born in May 20, 2017 so he's about two months shy of being 2.5 years old.
-
Using those things becomes more firmly imprinted the longer they are used. That's how a young brain works. The longer the use, the harder the wean. You can make a small hole in them in the beginning to minimize the effect the child starts with and then gets used to having. It's much easier to quit a 5-cigs-a-day habit than a one-pack-a-day habit. Raging for three hours until he vomits was traumatic. Trashing the house - at his age? - illustrates his rage. He doesn't yet have an accurate sense of time - those three hours probably felt like forever to him. It's incredibly easy to educate yourself these days instead of relying on poor advice (old wives tales) that perhaps is well-meaning but ultimately the wrong road to travel. He wasn't getting something he needed when he was younger and she used the paci as an easy out and now he is paying the price. He is the firstborn and was an only child for two years and she did not work outside the home. He had her undivided attention and this is how she rolled? Wow.

"No serious red flags." Is she saying that red flags were noted but they are not considered to be of import? Then why call them red flags? Does she know that a red flag indicates a warning? Yay, home schooling. I am shocked to learn that social media isn't all glitter and rainbows and people blowing smoke up your ass.

WTF are they doing in Finland?! I hope some blunt and plainspoken peeps who have watched the show will offer their opinions out loud, to their faces. I guess I will watch my second episode ever and listen for the all-purpose perkele (pairrrrr' ke le) - evil spirit, bastard - and mita vittua (mee' tuh vee' tu uh) - what the fuck. Too bad it's only Scott's branch of the tree. Finns don't play. I would come off with big bucks to watch Kim And Khloe hauling their huge asses around Helsinki, getting heckled nonstop. (My dad was first generation American, didn't learn English until he started first grade and the way he swore in Finnish until his dying day was a thing of beauty).

Sittin' on Lizzie's porch. Whoa, she is ginormous. Is it the angle? I think that's the biggest I've seen her. She's too young to be that heavy and she's just getting into the big weight gaining years. I hope she has mortgage insurance.
