I think - because of the real estate market in LV at that time - the homes were thought to be worth much more than what was owed on the loans. Unearned equity, but still equity. (My understanding of this might be all wrong).

A few days ago, using the Fire Stick on my TV, I watched part of a music video on youtube. I was in the mood for Love Train by the mighty O' Jays and I chose a line dance on Soul Train video before I realized it had subtitles in Chinese. The subtitles popped up every time Don introduced the next couple and it got too distracting so I said fuck this and backed outta there and went to a better video. Those subtitles were less than a minute out of 30 or so minutes of music videos. I don't sign in to youtube but now 90% of my ads here are in Chinese. WTF is up with that? But I'm getting used to it and getting pretty good (I think) at deciphering what they're trying to sell me. Little do they know, I ain't buyin' ...

I think it went down like this: Kody talked to Robyn about the upcoming balloon payments on the LV loans and did some guesstimating about what a killing they would make because of their equity. She scoped out colleges for Day-un and decided that Flag was the way to go. She kicked back while Kody sold the move to the others, silently planning how she would spend her windfall. Then she got royally pissed off after she realized that she had been misinformed. And I don't believe that Kody ever intended to move to St George but by saying that he can spice things up with a little persecution. Because, undoubtably, the entire Utah legislature suffers from sleep loss because Kody Brown and his harem "got away." Curses, foiled again!

The three oldest are: Logan - May 21, 1994 (Janelle) Aspyn - March 14, 1995 (Christine) Mariah - July 29, 1995 (Meri)

The burning question is: What does Kody have to say about that post?

What is rarely mentioned when examining the circumstances and decisions surrounding the engagement is that Diana's intellectual/emotional age was far younger than her chronological age of 19. Charles' behavior was much more in tune with his actual age. It is not unusual to see well-educated and experienced men in their 30s bend to various pressures and expectations from their families, business partners and those in their social set. I think it is not stretching the truth to say that Diana, on the other hand, was the mental and emotional equivalent of a girl in junior high school. Once she was on the path she had "chosen" she became caught up in events and it was too late to turn back, especially after the birth of William. It is quite easy, and perhaps natural, for people who have the "normal" set of tools in their toolbox to judge and censure those whose toolbox (through no fault of their own) is not similarly stocked. Because they were much older than Diana and experienced in the art of subterfuge the behavior and strategies of Charles and Camilla were not far removed from those who function as pimps. There is no excuse for what they did, in this day and age, and to say that I do not wish them well is an understatement.

It's come full circle. Kody spent time talking with Meri privately because she's the only wife who isn't "over" him, tired of him, pissed off at him.

JFC, the man-spreading Janelle was doing on the edge of the chair when they were talking about selling the homes in Vegas was beyond unappealing, it was revolting.

Meri: I'm careful to say what I think until I find out what the others are thinking. Huh? What dumb shit means is: I'm careful NOT to say what I think until I find out what the others are thinking. Somewhere along the way Kody was trying to say "the elephant in the room" and it came out as "the pink elephant." (He made another wrong turn on the elephant path but, as a self-protective mechanism, my mind has blanked it out). These freakin' hillbillies! Whether you're reading what they post online or listening to them speak, you need to constantly be consulting the Rosetta Stone to figure out WTF they think they're saying.

Place your cursor (or tap your finger) at the very tippy-top left corner of the unwanted quote box and a small plus sign in a box will pop up there. Then hit the back space key and it should all disappear. That usually works the first time but it might take a few tries. As an added bonus sometimes the deleted quote reappears the next time you start a post, even in a different topic. Fun, fun, fun!

I figured. The brain is a trippy mechanism, innit? I can't even begin to remember the last time I thought of that adage and then someone said something that flipped a switch to the "way back" file. LOL

I'm pretty lucky, all of my cats over the years (except one especially timid gal) have allowed me to vacuum them. Done quickly, and done right! I think they enjoy the pulling of the suction - and I always throw in a little brush action just for the affection aspect. -

My take on it in italic. -
In that top photo Maddie has the exact same sour expression Axel usually has. All she needs is a binky. Since noticing it, I've seen it in quite a few photos Ah, so, that's where he gets it. Sad.

Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet - General Discussion
suomi replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Vet
I'm bummed because it seems like forever since I've seen the show in the lineup at all. Days and weeks of Tanked and My Cat From Hell and Pit Bulls and Parolees but no Dr Jeff, and very little of The Vet Life. Sad. -
I might get some flak for saying this but hating pets is very common in LDS culture. It's one of the first things I picked up on when I moved to Utah in '85 and nothing I've seen and heard since then has ever softened that impression. Yes, some people treat their animals well but there is so much neglect and abuse that it boggles the mind. Here is a recent example: I moved from Logan/Cache Valley to St George four years ago to get away from the harsh winters. (About a month after I moved to Logan I read in a book written by a local that Mountain Man Jim Bridger scouted the valley and reported to Brigham Young that it was unfit for human habitation, hence the migration to the Salt Lake Valley instead. WTF, that's when I knew I was in for it!). I had to leave St George after the fourth summer there because, with my emphysema, it became too difficult/life-threatening to breathe the hot summer air. My first week back in Cache Valley (Thanksgiving week) I was in Home Depot and was having what started out as a nice conversation with someone as we waited for a clerk. Then she mentioned that her kids had gotten old enough that they were yammering about letting the cat and dog live in the house during winter. There was 14 inches of snow on the ground and the storm had passed so it was really/really cold, single digits cold. She said the dog could come inside but not the cat, nuh uh. "It'll find somewhere warm." Ignoring the look on my face, she added "Gah. The dog was tolerable when it was a cute puppy but now I can't stand even looking at it. And it always wants attention." I couldn't trust myself to say anything civil so I just walked away ...

Ha! It's on at 11pm for me. (Xfinity/Mountain time). I am so grateful for the live chat thread so I can find out what goes on from everyone who can watch it much earlier than I can.

Most likely: something went amiss during their bishop interview. They said something he didn't like or they didn't say something he wanted to hear. For example, they refused to renounce/bad mouth their parents' lifestyle and/or they didn't agree to cut ties with them. There are basic guidelines for membership, yes, but each bishop also has a certain amount of autonomy re how he runs his ward* (congregation). If he said their attitude was lacking in some way that would be the final word. *You can't attend just any ward, you have to attend the one that's in your neighborhood. It's a good way to keep track of people's spiritual inventory when just one ward evaluates them. A singles ward (made up of never marrieds of a certain age, widows and widowers, those who have divorced, college students or soldiers living away from home) is an exception to this formula because it is allowed to draw from surrounding neighborhoods.

IIIRC Kody and Meri first encountered Robyn when they were at someone's house and Robyn showed up there to pick up her kids from a play date. Meri noticed that sparks flew and quite soon afterward the Browns were at a dance/a party and Robyn was there also and that's when Meri started the ball rolling.

Me too. I thought I would like to have 2 or 3 but after I became acquainted with something called Labor And Delivery I said "Fuck. That." They say you forget the pain. Ha! I have no idea how some women decide to have more than one kid but I do tip my hat to their vaginas. Their poor, poor vaginas. Gah! I hope no one tries to pressure or shame Maddie and Caleb if they are stopping where they're at.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
suomi replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Oh, FFS! That mascara is yet another sad example of white trash with money. Her home in Vegas was filthy and beat to shit because her kids (and Janelle's) have no respect or appreciation for nice things and they seek attention by performing ridiculous stunts, as if they were wild apes. Pffftt.
