  1. I think I'm immune to this after the astonishingly large number of times over the years that I've found myself eating during the opening of a Bones episode. But yeah, Pacci always sticks with me because of how gruesome his death was.
  2. I just about vomited during the flashback of Jess getting turned on by sweaty, lunging Nick. Yes, it was funny, but oh so gross.
  3. It's not like this is a first or anything, but NCIS was WAY too far into CIA/FBI territory on this one. Even though I knew Dornie was gonna bite it ever since his return was announced, I suddenly started getting nervous for Abby when she insisted on leaving the office and was acting all obnoxious in the test bunker. Gibbs's memory apparently isn't as charitable to Pacci and Cassidy as it is to the others. But why no Lee and the poor guy she framed (I forget his name, but Gibbs was pretty upset about him)?
  4. That's the only thing I can say I legitimately hated about this episode. It was SO cheesy. I guess last episode's colossal amount of errors set me off because I've been nitpicking the hell out of this episode. As was already mentioned, there's no way Jackson would be watching the "National League playoffs" in early summer. Does Maggie live at the frat house now? She was over there more than the two women we know actually live there, combined. I keep forgetting that Arizona still lives there, but still. I don't know why I just started obsessing over this last week, when it has been an issue since Derek was living in the trailer, but there's no way Owen could surprise Amelia at the dream house by appearing a matter of minutes after she got there. They have to take a freaking ferry to get there, which means being grouped together in close proximity for at least the good part of an hour. Or did Owen make the two-hour drive from Seattle to Bainbridge so he could surprise her?
  5. I think she was a little smaller than Charlotte's giant preemie triplets on Private Practice. That and be weirdly intimate with Maggie. I swear, I thought by the time they flashed to New Years we'd see those two kissing at midnight. Then she'll visit her mom and aunt Maggie in the home for Alzheimer's sufferers. I liked it overall. My only real problem with it is that there's no way in hell Cristina would ditch Meredith right after the funeral. She'd let Shane run billionaire's hospital into the ground before she'd abandon Meredith at a time like that.
  6. Depending on how much they mess with the timeline in the next few episodes, I wouldn't be surprised to see Calzona back together, Catherine and the Chief sealing the deal, and Alex and Jo either engaged or outright married. Even though I think Owen and Amelia are still on a collision course, they're probably going to be dealing with a shit-ton of industrial strength angst before they get together.
  7. I would be shocked. I think Shonda learned her lesson from Gizzie, and Meredith and Alex are in that same boat. Besides, that would be hella unfair to Alex to have him break up with somebody who genuinely adores him to be with his friend that could never possibly love him as much as she loved Derek.
  8. So Kris is going to get a gun. Remember when Bruce got a gun and she and Kylie teamed up to destroy it?
  9. It would have been less obnoxious if Derek had died because Larry Cedar was busy operating on Popular Kid, but why go for the bad luck story when you can just have the guy be a jackass. Derek's death is sort of reminiscent of Dr. Drake Remoray's death in that Drake died from a brain injury that only he could have fixed.
  10. Apparently this "shortcut" took him someplace east of Enumclaw. But then, this is a show where half the surgeons live on a piece of property that requires them to rely on the ferry system to get to work. Good luck getting to the hospital in 20 minutes!
  11. No, Meredith will sue the hospital out of business so that Redhead Doctor can move to Grey Sloan Memorial with its new wing, the McDreamy Memorial Center for Trauma. I agree that the episode was pretty good up until Derek arrived at the hospital. Then it turned into this weird polemic where Shonda railed against ER protocol and sexism in Medicine. It made me realize that I'm glad Shonda doesn't write for the show anymore because I think the last good episode she wrote was the shooting. I did like the young girl, but I feel like the cool kid in a crisis is a cliche, especially after the earthquake episode not too long ago. I also agree that Meredith was played right. Meredith is often a cold person and this time she wasn't overwhelmed by danger the way she was in the shooting and the plane crash.
  12. If Derek wasn't already McDreamy enough, every other noteworthy man/boy in this episode was a stupid jackass.
  13. I'm sure it won't happen for numerous reasons, but I'd honestly like to see Elizabeth Olsen appear as Michelle. She's less alien-looking than her sisters and could pass for Michelle just as easily as either one of them could.
  14. Vicki ran away from home when she realized that Captain Stubing was her father. When he returned her to the Aunt, he learned that she was getting divorced and she sort of implored him to take in Vicki. That's how she came to live on the Princess, They had some child welfare worker visit to check on Vicki's situation sometime later. I've been watching seasons four and five recently and it's unbelievable how much action Captain Stubing is getting during this period. Practically every story dedicated to him is about a woman, that I'd say is out of his league, falling in love with him. He hooked up with Pat Crowley and she became his sorta girlfriend. Then he bangs one of the models from the fashion cruise. Then he has a love affair and short engagement with the daughter of some woman he wanted to marry when he was serving in the south Pacific. He hooks up with the woman the line hires to paint his portrait. Then Pat Crowley comes back and he's poised to propose to her (I guess he had to do something with the ring from his engagement less than ten episodes previous). Pretty impressive for a middle-aged bald man with a fupa. It must be the dress shorts.
  15. He'll be too busy consulting on the movie about his life story. Just imagine somebody with Derek's life story gaining national attention for singlehandedly saving the lives of half a dozen accident victims only to fall into a coma and wake up just as his wife with the hostile uterus is giving birth to their third child.
  16. That was totally a Lexie plot. The way Stephanie made it all about herself reminded me of the time Alfre Woodard was playing an author and dropped a bunch of Mark/Lexie anvils on Lexie and us.
  17. I'm pretty sure the joxygen mask is a crime against humanity.
  18. I liked the podcast segment. It brought back the jerkier version of Wil Wheaton, which is always more entertaining. I don't necessarily want evil Wil Wheaton back, but he's been pretty boring ever since he made his way off of Sheldon's enemies list. My one gripe is that I thought Leonard should have made a Silent Bob reference instead of just telling Kevin Smith to shut up. I also liked the segment with Howard's brother. Raj was hilarious and I loved the joke about Howard talking about going to Space. Boring Shamy is boring. The only thing I liked was the Leonard joke. Community ruined all other blanket forts for me.
  19. It boggles my mind how crazy expensive new technology was before the nineties. I remember my family not getting a VCR until the late eighties because they were too expensive to justify for the longest time. A CD player was completely out of the question, though I did know people who had them. Apple prices don't seem so outrageous by comparison. I bet the real Murray would have appreciated that the investment he made in buying his young son an expensive video camera truly paid off.
  20. I wonder if this show will pull a Romano
  21. Gah, please tell me they're not going to repeat the "Where's Derek?" trilogy again. One episode after the last one ended and Meredith gets another phone call at the end of an episode causing her to freak out about Derek? Speaking of repeats, oh how I love this show making light of violent male genital mutilation. At least the guy in the second episode ever was an evil piece of shit, but this guy was just a poor fool who got it twice. I don't know what the deal was with Alex and Maggie, but I find it hard to believe that he'd ditch Jo not long after he vowed to marry her. The only way I could see it is if Camilla wants to leave. Meredith would probably freak if Alex went for another one of her sisters.
  22. I'm not sure which is less believable: that Kris can sincerely cry or that Corey has sex with women.
  23. It's too bad that Kim and Kanye are a perfect match, because the post-breakup take-down of Kanye would be epic with all the legitimate ammunition Kris could use against his psycho ass. Look at Kris Humphries, he is easily the most normal guy Kim dated post-sex tape and he was eviscerated by these jackals.
  24. It wasn't featured all that much in this episode but I'm enjoying the new group of Meredith, Alex, Callie, and Maggie. It's kind of like a poor man's MAGIC, much more so to me than all the times they tried to resurrect that dynamic with the old attendings or the fab 3 + Jackson and April. I can't believe they spent 3 episodes teasing that non-event in the annals of MerDer. It was so boring.
  25. Yeah, Kourtney wouldn't hesitate at the first opportunity. Kim would never pull the plug and probably have Kanye brainstorm some way he could incorporate komatose Kris into their home decor. I'm not sure Khloe or Rob would act much differently than Kourtney.
