  1. He really does drive away. That's what makes that clip so confusing and had a lot of people speculating that she's telling him something about Megan.
  2. Then he immediately drives away, leaving her standing there in the parking lot.
  3. The problem is that Meredith isn't like Maggie, word-vomiting everything she's thinking at any given moment. Meredith has had conflicted feelings about Riggs ever since they first had sex, so if she's not even sure how she feels about it, how is it fair for Maggie to expect Meredith to move way out of her emotional comfort zone and make declarations about her attraction to him? That's not to say that Maggie is wrong and Meredith didn't make a mistake, just that Maggie expects other people to be like her and maybe she should learn to deal with it when they aren't.
  4. If the justification for turning this show into a couples comedy is that it would be unrealistic for all the guys to be single forever then it's only natural that babies would follow because that is what happens with most married couples. That said, this gives the lazy writers an easy storyline for Bernadette and Howard. The only thing I don't really like about it is how isolated they've been in episodes.
  5. Molly was around for at least two episodes.
  6. The more this show reinforces that Sheldon is a child and Amy is his mommy, the more disgusting I find it that they had that relationship go sexual. Otherwise, I was quite amused. Sheldon's observations about Bert and the similarity with Penny and Leonard's courtship nearly always delivered. All three people involved in the baby storyline had some good moments. Howard was good pretty much from beginning to end. Stuart was good when they broke Halley out of daycare and when talking about how his hair attracted birds. Bernadette was great at the end.
  7. It reminded me of the way Stephanie treated Cross last episode. I know this episode was filmed an especially long time ago and that's why I thought it didn't quite jibe with what I've seen recently. I had a good laugh when Meredith was talking about brain deficiencies and all that when trying to get Riggs to stop helping his guy. Wasn't she out for some ridiculous amount of time after she drowned only to survive with no problems whatsoever?
  8. Being on fire, the way they put it, could mean a lot of things. Maybe the show will go back to its roots and everybody will be doing it like rabbits in the finale. Maybe that's why Bailey is so eager to get Catherine and the Chief back together, so Richard will get out of the on-call room and BCB can make her triumphant return. I blame all the babies. They're certainly the reason why this Meredith and Riggs storyline is so protracted and why Amelia has been acting nuttier than ever. It's also probably why we seem to have had an inordinate number of episodes focusing on very small groups of characters this season.
  9. When Minnick has said nothing more than "morning" in three episodes, we can just forget about how horrible she was and the writers don't have to make the effort to write their way out of it. She probably won't even appear in the next episode, either. I doubt they would have emphasized their sorta-halfway-familial relationship if that were actually the case. I really hated how they had Maggie standing there like an idiot when the alarms were going off and then acting all put off because Arizona dared to question her. I know it was for suspense, but what are people supposed to think when you don't explain something that apparently is not common knowledge outside of the cardio specialty?
  10. I don't know how much interaction the various productions on these movies have with each other, but the last Murder She Baked followed by this Fixer Upper Mystery makes me think that somebody at Hallmark has an ax to grind with high school athletics. At least I enjoyed both.
  11. I don't know all the details about how adoption works in real life, but I'd think a drug addict and a head case who both have extremely time-consuming careers would have a hard time of it. Maybe Shonda would want to do a surrogacy story.
  12. So real Adam's prom date was the wacky polygraph examiner from NCIS.
  13. The sad thing about this episode being so boring is that it had so much potential with horrible Minnick nowhere in sight. But alas, I figure that's just the show's way of sweeping her horribleness under the rug so more of us will forget what a crappy character she is and they can keep building the case that "bitter old man" Webber is the villain here. I did get a kick out of Bailey ragging on Arizona. It's the first time I've enjoyed her this year. As much as it irritates me that we've got Meredith's ego on maximum sun-ness in this episode, I do somehow enjoy her relationship with Riggs. It's not as cute as I'm sure TPTB think it is, but it's good for now and I'm sure it will lead to nice drama on the Megan front. Someone please put DeLuca out of his misery. We were finally rid of Maggie's schoolgirl crush and now this fool is acting stupid. Maggie was a child again, but what else is new? Are we ever going to see her dad? Amelia is full of shit and, by extension, whoever wrote her stairwell screed is full of shit. That is all.
  14. Yes. I think it's also the case that Catherine's work has made the foundation more successful than it was when she married into the family.
  15. My problem with it is that the Avery Bozeman hospital has surgeons. Jackson wasn't requiring a specialist that only GSM could provide. Even if the argument is that he wanted to work with somebody with whom he could prepare in advance of the trip, it doesn't work because April was a last minute addition. Maybe it's just another case of GSM surgeons being so far superior to everybody else. It's not exactly a glowing endorsement of the Avery brand if its hospitals are full of losers like defunct Dillard.
  16. His hard living has aged him enough that I don't see any obvious difference in their ages. I actually don't see Robert ever returning. This episode served as a strong rebuke of the character in the same way Jackson rejected him. He didn't show enough guilt to make me think he'd try making amends or anything like that. It didn't feel unfinished. Add me to the group disappointed with the Jackson and April reunion. I suppose there's still a chance it was just ex sex brought on by euphoria and boredom, but I doubt it. I still don't understand how April ended up tagging along. I know Catherine manipulated it so April would replace Meredith, but I don't understand why Meredith was going with Jackson in the first place.
  17. At least he had a big part and wasn't relegated to corpse finder on Boner street like Jaleel White.
  18. I got the impression that Jackson was recognizing in her behavior towards Richard and himself whatever it was that drove his father away. It was never really spelled out clearly, but I had always been under the impression that he couldn't handle the pressure of being an Avery. The possibility that he was actually driven away by Catherine's unrelenting personality certainly makes all this Avery family drama orders of magnitude more interesting. If this is all some sort of evil scheme by Catherine, I'll both be impressed and roll my eyes at how ridiculous it is. At least it's making Jackson more interesting than he's ever been in 7 seasons on this show. I'll never, ever like Minnick if they're just going to act like she and her method are suddenly all perfect. It's disgusting how they've written this story.
  19. I won't miss Jenna "Lee" Flemming. She was written almost as annoying as M. Allison Hart. Even with the escalating gruesomeness attached to it, I'd still cherish living in that apartment if it's such a great deal. I'm just glad Kate and Ziva were never harmed. He was just like fat Bronson Pinchot in that Halloween episode a couple seasons back, both in creepiness and how shockingly aged they look.
  20. Hannah's the kind of character who would go through that whole process, give birth, and then decide that the parents she picked will be abusers and her kid needs to be adopted by people in Malawi or something.
  21. I was kind of disappointed that Bones getting in that ambulance was played straight. It was staged as a perfect setup for the medic to kidnap her.
  22. I'm curious about the justification for April going to Montana. Trauma specialty doesn't seem like something conducive to making planned visits to other hospitals.
  23. I just chalked it up to being some wacky "California" version of lasagna like a Calfornia roll or California pizza.
  24. You just might in Springfield, USA. That's how they roll. The prison episode was the latest example. At least this time there was some decent context for their unwanted moralizing.
  25. I've never felt so ambivalent about an episode before. I thought the transplant plot was a loser all around. It was such a heavy-handed parallel to Jo's situation that I disliked it right away but it just got worse with her getting overly involved and acting like a lunatic. Minnick and Jackson were jackasses. It irritates me that this show is blowing over Minnick's assiness because it just makes Jackson look like a petulant child now for failing to get on board. The only bit I enjoyed was the debate over kidney ownership. On the other hand, I thought the story about the schizophrenic woman was excellent. The make-up was good because I didn't recognize Samaire Armstong until her third scene. It wasn't too heavy-handed because I didn't realize it applied to Riggs's situation with Megan until he started talking about understanding how the parents felt. I loved that Maggie was acting like an adult for the first time in forever and that they brought back the psych doctor from the first season. It should have been the A story instead of the turd transplant. Yay, Cross! Seeing him and the psych doctor made my night, continuity-wise. Now I hate Arizona more than Minnick because she's suddenly a true believer in the cult of Minnick. It's like she swapped brains with Stephanie of two episodes ago. Seriously, stop thinking with your junk, girl. Just because she cried after breaking her car horn doesn't make her less of a smug asshole.
