  1. Haven't watched today's show yet but I did catch a couple of moments as I was channel surfing. Two observations: Natalie Morales apparently got some acting lessons since the last time she was on Y&R. She seemed to me less like an animatron and more like a human being, hah hah. And then there's Audra. Her conversation with Noah sounded more natural to me and not like she was speaking her dialogue phonetically. Golf claps for them both.๐Ÿ™‚
  2. Yep. Which was dumb on Nate's part because unless he's going to be working undercover at NE/NM, Lily and Devon will know who hired him. And then they can guess who Nate was in cahoots with. Lily had been looking to Victoria as her "CEO of a family company" role model and Vikki had no problem knifing her in the back. Gotta love it! Right? He was barely qualified for the nepotism position he had at C-W. How is he going to handle a real job where they'd just as soon dump him as look at him? Unless Victoria's still planning to use Nate to go after C-W, I don't see him lasting long with the Newmans as a business executive.
  3. In that dress I think at best she was wearing a thong, and at worse she was going commando. ๐Ÿ˜ผ Most of the spumors say Audra is Tucker's daughter. If she's meant to be Devon's love interest I'm gonna need her relationship to Tucker solidly clarified real soon. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Yeah, MiMo's status as Amanda has been a real curiosity. I know she's had several serious issues to deal with in her personal life. Behind the scenes gossip has it though that TPTB were ready to let her go but then she won the Daytime Emmy and it would've looked bad given what a landmark her win was. Allegedly she wanted a contract with more time off but the show wanted to keep Amanda a front burner character so buh bye. The ultimate result is that she's gone on recurring status and no one even mentions Amanda anymore.
  4. WTAF did Lily, the CEO of a major international company, call herself wearing today? Between the eff me shoes, the exposed cleavage, and the dress so tight and short if she leaned over just right you could see forever, I bet the local cadre of sugarbabies is preparing to get a cease and desist order issued against her. Because no one wants to see a 40ish mother of college-aged twins trying to look like she's still 22. Nate Natey Nate Nate Nate. There's been no indication any of the people who work or have worked for Devon have any trouble with his management style. You were just throwing crap at the wall to see what would stick because it's all about your widdle fee-fees and not any actual facts. It sounds like Lily is now pushing Billy out the C-W door. That's interesting. So Connor lied to Chelsea to get away from her when she dropped him off at the coffeehouse. I bow in his general direction. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ehhh, Jill barely knows Nate; of course she didn't see him as a threat when he first came on board at C-W. I think his relationship with Ashland should've given her pause though. Seems like Nate wants the glory and the glittering prizes without doing the real work to achieve them. Look at the mess Chelsea has made. She and Adam can't tell Connor she did something really bad to Johnny's father and that's a big part of the reason why she had to give Johnny up. And Connor's too young to understand why a mother would hand off her child to someone else for his own good. Oy. Sally, stop talking to Nick about Adam! He's no more objective than Chloe on the topic of his brother. Meanwhile, two's company, three's a crowd, Nick. Stay off Sally and let her go be with the one she loves. Jill! Noooooo! The Fates already gave you one chance to escape a takeover via the IPO. You need to kill the IPO idea and let it stay dead. Also, why didn't Lily mention to Jill that Devon is no longer down with it? IMO whoever wrote the scenes with Devon and Nate arguing today deserves some applause. That dialogue was fire. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ. I think for the most part BJ was carrying SD though, as he is a stronger actor while SD tends to come across as a bit self-conscious when Nate has to show heavy emotion.
  5. Why were the detectives acting so embarrassed by the woman who answered the door in her underwear? She wasn't showing any more skin than what you could easily see at the beach or a swimming pool. A black Tesla is kind of a high profile vehicle for a perp to be using near multiple crime scenes across multiple states. The killer must've wanted to get caught since he was being so brazen. The prosecution will lose on appeal, I bet.
  6. Funny how the hotel's rooftop balcony has replaced the lobby now that the lobby set's been converted to Noah's nightclub. And Adam spending the night up there? In WI. In mid-October. Sure, Jan. ๐Ÿฅถ I liked Vikki's high pony. It made her look younger, IMO. Well gosh, Nick, one way to avoid having Sally mixed up in your feud with Adam is for you to bow out and let them get back together. You caused the situation by assuming your wee peen was the answer to their relationship problem. Summer. Your daddy is a growna$$ man. I'm surprised Sally didn't laugh in the silly little girl's face, right after she reminded Summer the reason why her in-laws now own Marchetti. So Nick has deemed himself Sally's protector. KMN. A month ago he was still losing his marbles because he accidentally killed Ashland. Sally has created quite a convenient distraction for him. Just noticed Victoria's wire choker necklace. I have one of those that's probably 25 years old, though mine is stainless steel and hers is probably 18k gold. Every fashion comes back eventually, huh? Who peed in Kyle and Summer's cornflakes this morning? She decided to get in Sally's face and Kyle climbed up Adam's behind for coming to work with a hangover. The second honeymoon seems to be over already for Mr. & Mrs. Abbott because they were both grumpy. Had to enjoy Lily's cracked face when Devon reminded her that he's the co-owner of C-W with Jill and the IPO is not going forward without him. You're just an employee, sweetie. You may be a CEO but you don't own ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ. Sally "dangerous"? What has she done since moving to GC that could be classified as dangerous? Gee, Summer, it's not as if Sally tried to hold you hostage by tying you a radiator. FOH, you snooty princess. Connor was the last person I'd've expected to be friendly toward Sally. Maybe he isn't a total demon child after all. (Or perhaps it's a case of game recognize game, lol.) I thought it was nice of Sally to sit with Connor after his mommy apparently abandoned him at the coffeehouse. And then to text his daddy while they chatted. Puhleeze, Nate knows as much about media as Sally did months ago when Adam made her his COO at NM. Here comes SuperNickMan to save Sally's job! Or try to, anyway. I'm feeling like that's the least he could do after he basically #metoo'd her. But Victoria, your degree in art history didn't make you much more qualified in business than Sally was. She just wasn't born TGVN's favorite daughter like you were. Shut up. Ehh, Devon, do you really want to stoke that fire again? Nate's takeover plan disintegrated and he's out of the company. Accept the win and get on with your life.
  7. Stretch a budget like a big-headed baby stretches a--๐Ÿ˜ฏ Why did Jacob make a wine blend sound like something cheap and unpleasant? Seems like he just bought some bad wine period. I didn't realize white onions were problematic. Or is that just a Melissa thing? I think Ava had a slight point about not wanting to kick a kid when they're down but that assumes all kids have a sense of shame. What about the ones like Micah who are too self-involved to notice others aren't enjoying their disruptive antics? Nana Schemmenti's turning over in her urn. Must be a pretty big urn, hah hah. So, according to Mr. Johnson, the way to discipline kids is to talk like Darth Vader. Good to know. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  8. I'm no longer watching B&B but during Y&R today they showed a promo with Carter and Katie flirting with each other. WTAF? Carter with Katie of the permanent Resting Stink Face? Quinn & Carter was the hottest thing going on soaps in a long time. I think Katie & Carter has hail nah written all over it. Seriously, Brad Bell?
  9. Decided to watch the show live today. Here goes... Two soap opera vets 100% engaged in their scene and getting it done. Loved watching PB and TSJ together. I thought Sharon knew about Nick and Sally? Guess not with that WTF face she made when he told her. Daytime Emmy-worthy work from MG in Adam's rooftop scenes with Sally. I wanted to reach into the TV and give him a hug. OMG, Sharon stays gossiping! I understand why Nick trusts her but Sally sure shouldn't. Sally, of course Adam cares that you're screwing his brother on the rebound. Are you dense or just a cold-blooded skank? I'll accept "both" as an answer. What about Sage? Why do they keep forgetting Adam and Nick shared Sage too? And she's Christian's mommy FGS. ๐Ÿคจ Lol, Jack gets right to the messiness inviting Diane to join him and Tucker at their table. Hope the two suspects have their stories straight because Jack is on the case. How much do I hate Sally having to answer to Chloe about who she sees on her own flipping time? THIS MUCH!!!!! Chloe is not your friend, Sally. She's a c-blocking busybody. If Tucker and Diane don't want people to think they're scheming perhaps they shouldn't have their heads together in a restaurant where any of their naysayers could show up at any time. Duh. What could Diane be on the hook to Tucker for? So now Sally has to cover her tracks with Nick about her unexpected dinner with Adam. Ugh. Wonder why Adam hasn't figured out that Nick has her jammed up and she's mainly trying to keep her job? Summer. Another buttinski. Why isn't she at home with her husband and stepchild? Tucker & Victoria, sittin' in a tree? Huh. I don't hate the possibility. It might be fun to see Tucker wreck Victoria's bony self and steal the C-W IPO deal too. AFAIC, more than two trips is too many. She's looking wishy-washy to me and that is not a trait one wants to see in a doctor. At this point, I think Elena needs to call Tryone.
  10. My enjoyment of that sketch was diminished by my recall that Key & Peele did an arguably better delivery of the concept with their "OK" sketch. (YouTube link, possibly NSFW due to profanity.) And 20 years ago the police drama series The Wire did a similar scene with the word "fuck" and the scene is considered a classic. (Dailymotion link, likely NSFW due to nude images of dead women's bodies, as well as profanity.)
  11. Quoting myself from last Thursday to say: I have to take back the shade and offer kudos to EH and the Y&R wardrobe people for the outfit she wore. I just found out (from SNL of all places?) that every year, October 13 is No Bra Day. Who knew?๐Ÿค”
  12. Lol, I might would watch Bridgerton if MTS was on it. Love her energy. H-town represent! The deer pulled a knife. (Seriously, all I could think about when the deer was inside the house was, "and now you all have lyme disease."๐Ÿคข) So I can skip the October 29 episode. Thanks for the advance warning, SNL. Meh, I don't think Devon Walker was ready for WU. His nervousness was palpable. And he could've done more with the TX versus NY thing. Sigh, the term they were looking for in the Sgt Cake sketch is "long back." MTS did a good job of bleeping herself during her second music performance, hah hah. I didn't realize how much of her lyrics aren't safe for broadcast TV. My stupid local NBC station cut off the women's charity skit to play political ads which run 98 gazillion times a day as it is. Now I gotta go watch it on YouTube. Yeah it's sad there's such a teacher shortage that several states are no longer requiring college degrees to get certified to teach at high school level and below. I'd be surprised if that were happening with honors STEM classes though. And dang, sometimes it be your own people. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I was really hoping they'd do something with the M3GAN movie trailer that set the internet on fire this week, especially since Tina Snow officially liked it on twitter. Maybe they're waiting until the movie is released next year.
  13. The podcasts storyline seemed to start waning when Billy decided to quit doing his. The writers left a big potential plot line hanging when Nate apparently overpaid Newman Media to get Elena out of her contract. Sally's disbelieving reaction to the dollar amount Nate offered was too pointed for the audience not to notice. (Maybe when Sally hears Victoria's bringing Nate into NE she'll mention that transaction as an example of his questionable professional judgment.) I think the main indication we've had that Elena works for C-W is how comfortable she is rolling into Lily's office whenever she wants. ๐Ÿ˜ How does it work with doctors? Would they be expected to give more than two weeks' notice? Whatever, I thought part of the reason Elena took the podcast job was so she could ease up on her hospital and clinic work. But then we kept seeing her coming in late from or leaving early for an extra shift. (Which IMO was Y&R's subtle way of nodding at the healthcare workers who were overwhelmed during the height of the pandemic.) Next we see her meeting Nate several times a day to discuss his whiny issues with Devon at C-W, so her doctor job must not have been as busy--or not her first priority. Who knows? The fools writing this show don't seem to. Yeah and I'm wondering why she doesn't just hire a moving service because all these trips back to the penthouse when she keeps saying she's done are getting ridiculous to me. At this point Nate should tell her, "How can I miss you if you won't leave?" ๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. FFS, Chloe why are you discussing Sally's personal business with her boss? Don't you have actual work to do besides managing Sally's sex life or helping Nick dig himself a bigger #metoo hole? "I get that you see it that way." Nate, you are hopeless. On her way to the airport, Elena should send his mommy Olivia a text and suggest she come get her egomaniac son. Okay, IMO Nate did have a small point about the way Elena busted in on the C-W meeting. She could've left him a message instead but she opted to be super dramatic at his job. Tucker was sly the way he was trying to position himself as Devon's solution instead of a potential problem. He knows Audra will likely be able to tell him what caused the IPO blowup regardless, and he can maneuver around it. Nick's unbothered attitude toward Sally and Adam's dinner bothered me. He keeps saying he's putting the onus on Sally to determine the direction of her "friendship" with him. However, they both know her job is on the line and Nick's her boss. It's like he has his foot hovering over her neck while she's acting like they're simply dating. Elena, stop acting brand new. Nate is the same guy who stabbed his cousin and your ex-boyfriend Devon in the back by helping you cheat on him. His sense of morality has been hinky for pretty much the whole time you've known him. Gah, Adam was doing so well with Sally until he mentioned Nick. Darn! ๐Ÿ˜• Dafuq, Ashley? "You can't ruin someone if they haven't done anything wrong"? What kind of hazy understanding of "ruin" do you have? It doesn't appear that you and the other two witches are going to stop until you have indeed created found a way to ruin Diane. But Sally, you didn't have to move on with Adam's BROTHER. That was a choice, hon. You can no longer claim to be the innocent victim of Adam's machinations. Re next week's previews: Victoria must still be up to something if she wants to hire Nate at NE. Meh.
  15. Was able to watch today's preempted US episode on CBS.com. Hmm, Audra kinda looked to me like she knew what Nate was going to confess. ๐Ÿค” I don't remember Adam and Tucker being so chummy. Wow, Nate does love Elena enough to do the right thing wrt his insider trading scheme. This is my stunned face. Nick's already a bad influence on Sally. That outfit she had on today was atrocious. She looked to me like one of the girls in the NE steno pool--circa the 1970s--versus an up and coming CEO in the media world. Loved Billy's "this mutha-effah" expression after Nate ratted himself out. Like he hasn't pulled similar moves against the Abbotts and Jabot for equally pathetic reasons. Chloe has certainly embraced the leather look lately. And today I think she also needed to embrace a padded bra because her nips were on high alert, lol. Audra rolling her eyes at Nate like she isn't Tucker's spy on the IPO team. Heh. Shut up, Chloe. Nick IS somebody's rebound and he knows it. That's the point: he's trying to screw Adam out of Sally's system. You and your whacky interpretation of Sally's dating options is not helping. Ehhh, Devon, your prodigal daddy would not be the only business mogul with the resources to attempt a takeover of C-W. You may want to remove your blinders and consider other possibilities. So is the dreaded IPO kaput now? <fingers crossed> Wonder if Nate has enough knowledge of the inner workings of C-W to be a problem if he gets hired by one their competitors? Elena sure does take a long time to leave. Breaking up is a multi-stage process for her, apparently. ๐Ÿ˜ Wait, what? Adam is back in the Sally game, baby! Yay! Snooze, lose, Nick.
  16. Our Allie is not here for Audra's less-than-subtle snottiness. But geez, Noah hardly seems worth these two intelligent, capable women sniping at each other over him. How many years has Kay been gone? It makes no sense to me that Tucker would just now show up to try to snatch CI back. Nick and Victoria are grasping at straws, IMO. If anything, I bet Tucker's probably protecting Devon from exactly what NE is trying to pull. Did Nate and Elena both throw in on the purchase of that penthouse, because if not, technically it's only Nate's home. Elena has nothing holding her back but the depth of her feelings for that selfish clown. Boo hoo, Chelsea. You are stalking a child and trying to force him to interact with you. People have gotten arrested for doing that kind of stuff. You better stop pushing it. Talk about being hella pushy. Allie should have told bossypants Audra to insist herself out of the coffeehouse and into another dimension. ๐Ÿ‘ฟ Whatever, Victoria. The main reason Kay left CI to Victor was spite. You aren't doing anything noble by trying to steal the company out from under Devon and Lily and Jill. The feds won't care about your sense of entitlement or fate. TMW your co-conspirator's ex-girlfriend cracks your face with surgical precision and leaves it in a million tiny pieces on the floor. Ouchies, Vikki! How are Lily, Devon, and Billy missing the possibility of one of them dumping their shares so a corporate raider could scoop them up? It seems like an obvious risk to me. Oy, the ghosts of Neil and Kay are tsk-tsking that sorry bunch so hard. So much for Esther being the C-suite gatekeeper. Elena barged into Lily's office like she had zero effs to give, lol. Please, Nate isn't going to confess his sins to Lily and Devon. Elena's ultimatum was barely a minor ding to his ravenous ego. Stupid cliffhanger. ๐Ÿ™„
  17. Reconstituted eel portions. Yum. Anything can be a garnish if you're brave enough. (On Archer a character recently said, "Anything's edible if you try hard enough." Why is this a saying now?) Haggis in a condom. Which is the bad part, the haggis or the condom? The captain is still switching between accents. Oh, they really are heading into the sun! At least that'll solve the food problem, lol.
  18. That was not my point. I thought perhaps Kenya put the kid on Juke to test whether she'd be willing to fornicate, which is also bad with those types but not as bad as being gay. The show didn't really explain how or when Kenya figured out Juke was gay. Maybe Marvin told her or maybe she just assumed it from the first time she saw Juke. Or perhaps she was ignorant enough to think Juke just needed a boy to "fix" her.
  19. Oh wow, I think ED may have had one procedure too many on her face. She's starting to get the pulled-back look around her eyes. Must be nice to be able to leave work whenever you want to go do some aging mean girl yammering. Summer was dressed for winter already. Huh. Meanwhile, her mommy doesn't ever seem to leave home without bare arms or shoulders--or both--regardless of the season. Michael Baldwin back and looking like a straight up zaddy. Looks like he got rid of the ponytail. ๐Ÿฅณ IMO Kyle is a jerk. He expects his mommy to prove gossip told to him by her archenemy is wrong? Way to be supportive, you ungrateful brat. Lol, did Nikki teleport over to Crimson Lights or did it take Audra that long to get her coffee? Had to laugh at Nikki using her sex kitten voice with Audra. She usually saves that ish for Victor. Jack said watching Kyle, Summer, and Harrison grow as a little family gives him hope for the future. And I there I was, having just been debating with myself: who's a worse dresser, Summer Newman or Hope Logan, the designer of the Hope for the Future fashion line? (Also known as Tragic Clothes No Sane Woman Would be Caught Dead In.) ๐Ÿ˜ผ Whee, Audra dead eye staring at Nikki like, "You think you're slick, Miss Ma'am, but you are getting way too up in my business for this to be a grandma's innocent curiosity. Buh bye." Either Tucker is a good actor or he really was showing his vulnerability to Ashley. I thought he truly looked remorseful and in pain. I can understand Ashley not buying it though. FFS, Phyllis probably thinks the moon landing was faked and the earth is flat. She's a freaking conspiracy theory loon. Ashley seemed to be biting her tongue while listening to Phyllis rant at the three witches' tรชte-รก-tรชte. Audra in Tucker's hotel suite. Okay. So is she merely his investment partner, or as the spumors are saying, actually his daughter? ๐Ÿค”
  20. Palomar should've done her homework better. Bet she wasn't planning on having a gun pulled on her over some underaged boy toy. Plus, Raq is not trying to be a grandmother yet, especially when the baby mama would be the same age as her. Oh Scrappy's mother. You don't even know. Was that actor playing the radio guy Lou pulled a gun on a Wayans? Poor Juke. Kenya is evil with that "pray the gay away" intervention. I wonder how long she's known about Juke? (On reddit they're saying it was when Juke didn't get with the church kid who's been hitting on her. Who I had already figured Kenya deliberately put onto Juke to test her.) Whoa, that was underhanded what Howard did to Burke. Guess he put a bug in Nicole's father's ear that Burke had been trying to seduce his daughter. Play with fire, Burke, you might get burned. Famous kept calling it a "daddy test." Fewer syllables than "DNA test" I suppose. Do singers actually have sex to their own songs? That seems weird to me. Zisa is a mess and Lou is the perfect tool. Kanan is so over Raq and she's finally starting to accept it. And Marvin is so dead now that the mafia guys are onto him. Good on Marvin for standing up for Juke to Kenya. He's come a long, long ways on the acceptance front. Lol, Unique was struggling to contain his glee about how much trouble Marvin was in. And by association, how much trouble Raq and Lou were in too. Raq, you do not want to go to war with the mafia. They've been at their game for hundreds of years. You won't win against them unless your intials are FBI or IRS. Lou Lou can't even get rid of a dead body right. Raq's brothers are her biggest liabilities. OMG the Italian gang who couldn't shoot straight strikes again. I bet Marvin isn't dead but Renee is.
  21. Hmm. I haven't been picking up a Spanish accent but there's something quite deliberate about the way she pronounces her words and for some reason it annoys me. PB does the same thing in his portrayal of Jack but the audience knows that's part of Jack's characterization, at least as PB has long interpreted it. Maybe the show should have the actress do some press to explain if the way she speaks is due to her cultural background or if it's an attribute of the character. Clueless me is still wondering why Audra doesn't have a British accent since I was under the impression Noah's girlfriend was a London local. Whoo, I love learning more new words. This has to be one of the most literate forums on the Primetimer site. Nah, I think it's just Kiwi basic black shoe polish. ๐Ÿ˜ผ
  22. Heh, Audra's boobs enter a room at least 5 minutes before the rest of her does. Lol, Nikki the Newman Family Enforcer was in full effect with Tucker: "Yeah, we killed Ashland Locke, and took all his money too. You best be careful we don't have to do the same to you." Tucker wasn't much fazed though. Not only can I not see Audra and Noah as a couple, her still carrying a torch for him seems bloody unlikely to me. What would they ever have had in common besides being American expats in London? Huge misstep with this turn of events, MWTs. Now they're going to put a rush on the C-W IPO. Oh come on. ๐Ÿ™„ And don't they need to run that idea by Jill first since in some ways it's increasing the risk? Ashley, while you're out here acting so offended by Tucker's return, did you forget that when you first got with him you were cheating on Neil Winters, your boyfriend at the time? The way you get 'em is the way you lose 'em, sweetie. Nikki accusing people of being malicious, morally flexible, and apt to do shady things. Girl, bye. Apparently you've never looked in a mirror. Or at your husband and children. Sorry, Elena, but the only thing I want to hear from you is the 4-1-1 you need to be giving Lily and Devon. They're your employers and you owe them a solid for getting you out from under NE/NM. Ashley still has Tucker's phone number after all this time. Interesting. Phyllis told Jack she always hangs onto the hope that forgiveness is possible. Riiiight. Except if your name is DIANE! Shut up, Phyllis. ๐Ÿคฌ
  23. I don't understand why Price would run to the shooting. He's not an EMT, cop, or firefighter. And he wasn't armed. He risked getting killed himself for no reason. I didn't realize NYC had seemingly condoned homeless encampments. Not judging, it just seems unlikely to me given the weather in the winter. Loved the way Price eyeballed the defense attorney after the verdict was read. Not sure he should've been proud though. He's probably had time to get back in shape.
  24. The podcast You Must Remember This did an episode on Errol Flynn and it gets all into what a POS he was while also being considered a Hollywood heartthrob. He was next level awful.
  25. What is "white yoga"? Or is there some significance to being a yoga instructor who's White? Wasn't Willow Smith just on a few episodes back in the spring? They must really like her at SNL. Okay, this time I had no idea who the host was. Ditto comments upthread, I'm thinking Colin Farrell should've hosted instead but maybe he couldn't make the time commitment or he's waiting until closer to awards season. I don't get the whole Try Guys thing either. It seems like a poorly conceived PR stunt to me. The fellas trying not to break during the skit was good though. Even Bowen was getting a little twitchy and he's the one who usually stays solidly in character. "Pumpkin-scented trash bags." Gotta save that one for future use. These new cast members getting their WU segments are killing it. Marcello Hernandez was as funny as Michael Longfellow was last week. Watching someone spurting fake blood is almost as awful to me as someone spewing fake vomit. Ugh. The joke went by me so I spent the entire episode waiting for that moment so I could destroy my TV and set my hair on fire. Darn. ๐Ÿ™„ It confused me because I thought the big controversy with the movie was that Marilyn wasn't Hispanic/Latina and didn't have a slight Spanish accent. Guess SNL decided to go a different way. I wonder if they chose not to acknowledge it as a way of saying Anna de Armas' accent as Marilyn needn't be commented upon either. Essentially, "it is what it is."
