  1. Yesh, this episode could've been 20 minutes shorter without losing much context. David was scum just for trying to take over Cliff's life, but was he actually going to sexually assault Cliff's wife? I don't understand why she didn't immediately tell Cliff what happened. Cliff understandably reacted by getting obnoxious in David's face but he also overplayed his hand. I saw him as kind of naive on top of being a scared jerk. Did not see that ending coming. Guess NASA didn't do sufficient psych evaluations on these guys. Or perhaps being replicas only worked as long as there are no problems back on Earth. (Ditto comments upthread, I too was surprised the astronauts' homes weren't better protected from potential intruders.) Also, once Cliff's family was murdered too why wouldn't NASA have aborted the mission? My favorite comment from reddit:
  2. Neera was an amazing attorney. She should get her own Law & Order spinoff, ha ha. And she might be the second best-dressed woman in space, right behind Chrisjen Avasarala.
  3. Hee. I think Mulva Diane would have to say Kyle's hair is "breathtaking," and then Jack would react like Elaine did. Yep. I'll allow for what Sally's going through now to be mostly due to hormones but other than that, nah, not buying her "you should've saved Ava instead of me" act. I think once Sally realized she was carrying a Newman anchor baby, she foresaw at least the next 18 or so years of financial security for her and the child. Bonus points if she could become a Newman wife.
  4. ^^^Those are wonderful scenes. We rarely see Ashley and Victoria having a moment together anymore, much less hugging each other. One question though: who was the person both Colleen and Abby called "Grandma" on the phone? Was it Brad's mother or was Dina around then?
  5. Nikki said Nick tore out of the office looking none too pleased after Victoria essentially fired him. Gosh, hope he didn't pop a tendon or something. Clueless Nate didn't even realize Tucker was shining him on. And again with the "they didn't appreciate me at C/W but I was the bomb!" crap. I think Nate's head is so far up his own a$$ he probably snorts his own poop. Just before the first commercial break PB's voice spoke a tagline for CarShield. KMN. 😑😑😑 Uh oh, Nate, looks like Nick has your number and he's reading it back to you. Nothing like getting called out in the middle of a restaurant, huh? Loved Tucker sitting at the bar enjoying the indoor fireworks. I've started to nod off during Adam and Sally's scenes. All week it's been the same basic dialogue, over and over and over. Yawn. Chem test between Audra and Adam? Yeah baby, let's go! (Thumbs up for Audra's curly locks today. I think she and Diane are winning the ladies' hair game on this show,) "If Victoria needs my input..." Well, you've certainly made sure Vikki craves it, right Nate? You've probably left no orifice unfilled. 😈 Lol, Tucker c-blocked Audra. Looked to me like she was lowkey moving in for the kill with mopey Adam until Tucker showed up. Oh well. Sorry, Nick. Sally's not trying to have to deal with unemployed you and your mostly abandoned child Christian's issues right now. Re the previews: mess-seeking missile Audra full on flirting with Kyle and him being ready for it. Oy. Audra, I hope you've done your research on Kyle's psycho MIL.
  6. I think it would've been even better if Abby had been present but then maybe Traci wouldn't have gone there. Too bad nobody brought up Colleen's heart now living inside Victor. How many times has he screwed over an Abbott? Traci rewarded him for bad behavior at the expense of her family, to put it kindly.
  7. Or maybe Zelda read them off her phone like Victor does. Wow, responding to my own posts seems like an interesting way of getting my post and reputation counts up. 🀨
  8. Happy Jackie giving PR instructions to this new Emily person. I thought Mariah was in charge of Jabot and Marchetti's PR and media. πŸ€” Tucker "Love 'em and Leave 'em" McCall and Diane "Not Dead After All" Jenkins. Cute but those nicknames don't exactly roll off the tongue, lol. I think Zelda had to read them off cue cards. Pshht, one of the Abbott kids trying to muscle out their siblings for control of the company isn't unprecedented. Outsiders worming their way into the Jabot C-suite has been done before too. I'm with Billy (heaven help me); worries about an attempted coup are a lot of overblown panic for nothing. Lately it seems like Traci spends more time in NYC than GC anyway. Go ahead and hop on that plane back to Manhattan, Traci. The rest of the Abbott family is used to carrying on their lives without you around. Holy moley, Ashley has become a shrieking banshee! I couldn't believe the vicious way she was talking to Billy. She went in, scorched earth his hiney, and then salted the remains. Or tried to, anyway. Looked like Summer expected brownie points from Kyle for being nice to Diane. Maybe don't be so frigging obvious about it, StuporGirl. πŸ™„ Geez Saint Traci, climb off your high horse and go sit down. Nobody likes being preached at, especially by someone whose life is as vanilla as yours. Wonder how much Nintendo paid for the timely Zelda reference? I think every Abbott sibling said "Zelda" at least once today, and Traci must've said it 20 times, ha ha. It was heartwarming to see those flashback scenes with John Abbott. I think the show lost a lot when they killed him off. Rest in peace, JD.
  9. Don't worry, he will. 110% guaranteed. Yep. I hope Victoria is utterly destroyed when she realizes how easily Nate played her. Nate's not even a billionaire "Loch Ness monster," he's just some guy who's apparently good at tossing her bony a$$ around in bed. But then I want Victoria to rise from the ashes and vaporize Nate. He's overdue for a takedown IMO.
  10. Wonder if Faith has talked to Moses about what happened with Cameron? Chance checking up on Sharon, shiny and clean and in a new shirt too. I see you, detective, making your move all sneaky like. How you doin'? Geez, Victoria can't get Nick out of NE fast enough and now she has not one but two convenient excuses. This bish. Lol, Nikki bringing the receipts. She knows Victoria is operating on a glaring double standard wrt Nick. Vikki was almost offended anyone thought she should take time off after the Ashland debacle resulted in her becoming an instant widow. Poor Adam. Rebuffed by Sally in her extreme grief and next ready to start swinging on Chance. But wow, what a bad time for Sharon to have to do her coffeehouse therapist thing to calm him down. Nate, have you met Nikki before? She was dealing with smooth-talking snakes like you when you were still playing with Tonka trucks. You may have Vikki under your spell but her mommy is another story. Loved the little eye roll Nikki gave Nate on her way out of the office. Now Nick invites Sally to move in with him? Now, after all these months of using her hotel room as his free fcuk pad? Well, all it took was Sally losing a baby to be worthy of Nick's generosity. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ "...get a job near campus." What? Faith doesn't need to work; she's a Newman trust fund baby. Hey Show, stop trying make it seem like Sharon and her kids are middle class. They're so not. Ugh, please tell me Victoria and Nate weren't about to have office sex. Again. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. It smells like...Nate getting warned by Nikki to proceed carefully or he's gonna FAFO. After that fool had the nerve to namedrop Victor to her. Whee! Executive Producer Josh Griffith fired the existing writers before the strike started. He's now also the Head Writer. He's not participating in the writer's strike.
  11. Heh, first of all, Christian's a goner. Nick already puts his sex life ahead of the poor kid. Second, somewhere Noah is saying, "What am I, mashed potatoes?" So that leaves Faith and Summer to fight it out. I'd put my money on Faith.
  12. Ehh, I'm starting to think maybe Sally needs to be 5150'd. Grief can make people say regrettable things but her blaming Adam for the baby's death is kind of loony to me. Adam should stop trying to reason with Sally while she's in this state. Meanwhile, useless much, Elena? You basically set Adam up as a scapegoat when it sounds like the the baby stood a poor chance of surviving regardless of the decision you forced on Adam. Cameron's leather duffel bag was still sitting in Sharon's living room. Seriously? It didn't occur to Sharon that Faith wouldn't want to see it, especially after its owner kidnapped her and tried to kill her? Whatever, some luggage company must've gotten a great product placement deal with Y&R. The bag practically had its own spotlight. Ava Hope Spectra. Okay. πŸ˜• Would the nurses have put that tiny cap Sally was crying over on Baby Ava's lifeless body? I'm not understanding the significance of it. Plus, what if the parents didn't intend to adhere to the standard pink or blue colors? Seemed a bit presumptuous to me. Lol, was Victor just wandering the streets of GC tonight? How did he end up at Society after the big drama with Cameron? Maybe Nick texted him to go comfort Adam. All it took was stabbing a guy to death to make Sharon feel alive and "activated." Yikes. Please, JG, do not give us a scene with Sally cuddling a baby's corpse. Nobody wants to see that, you cat-killing m.f.-er. 🀬
  13. Sasha Calle (formerly Lola Rosales) has made the New York Times: In a Flash, How Sasha Calle Became Supergirl Apparently when she auditioned she had no idea it was for the role of Supergirl. Warner Bros. even had her sign a contract before telling her what character they were hiring her to play. The latest Flash movie is considered a huge box office flop but it looks like WB wants to do more with Sasha and Supergirl. I'm so glad because Y&R didn't do right by her IMO and the risk she took by leaving has paid off amazingly well.
  14. Yes! And Adam should dye his hair blond to make sure everyone knows he ain't playin'. SD is rather self-conscious, IMO. In almost every scene he's in I feel like he's posing for the camera. I mean, he looks okay but he's not "everyone stop and stare" handsome. His body is kind of puffy to me, as if the muscles and fat are jockeying for position. Yeah, I've thought about this too much...
  15. Christel Khalil (Lily Winters) is pregnant and has announced it on her Insta. One of her fan groups posted the video on their Twitter account, here: This had been reported on several soap sites and I had to laugh at the ones which were likely mostly written by AI. Some wondered whether CK's IRL pregnancy would be written into the show for Lily. That would a miracle since Lily has had a hysterectomy and no longer has ovaries.
  16. Victoria trying to act like she half cared what Nick was going through with Cameron. Ugh. Wait until she finds out how bad things got with Cam while she was busy riding Nate's joystick in the NE Secksay Times Hotel Suite. A year or two from now I bet Faith and Chance will be a couple. Going through intensely stressful and dangerous situations together often leads people to continue the connection romantically. Sharon doesn't have to get taken to the police station for questioning? Even if it was self-defense I don't see Chance having the final word. Plus he should take statements from Faith and Nick. A relative of Cameron's could claim he was murdered and Chance helped the Newmans cover it up by shutting down the case prematurely. Oh sure, Victor said he would've been at Faith's side in the sewage drain but the police wouldn't let him in. Since when has TGVN ever been held back by the GCPD? And geez, enough with the security team guarding the cottage! Fat lot of help they were when Cameron was tunneling into it right under their noses. I think Audra needs to find something better to do than monitor Nate's boudoir activity with Victoria. She may be good at corporate gamesmanship but Nate is someone who likely isn't going to carry his weight when the going gets rough. Now both Victoria and Victor have spied Audra and Nate publicly behaving in ways which could be interpreted as conspiratorial. Ruh roh. Guess today was Emmy reel day for CH and MG. They both got to do a lot of Acting! and it looks like more is coming this week, especially for CH. Yay? πŸ˜•
  17. I'm sorry she died but Pia just seemed too eager to gain money and fame from other people's tragedy. That didn't make her a lot different from many in the media world (especially in the true crime genre) but the mercenary aspect of her personality put me off. There's a fan theory afloat that Pia already knew about the mysterious disappearances and intended all along to manipulate Davis into switching their documentary to be about them instead of the egg man. Davis was mostly a means to an end for her, and the end unfortunately became a literal one. I think instead that Davis suspected but he didn't realize the full horrific extent of what had happened. He follwed Pia and Stuart's lead to put together the film because he knew they both would charge ahead for everyone's benefit despite his emotional hesitation. Ultimately I don't think he was prepared for what he learned about his parents, or for Pia's fatal accident. However, I guess there's another audience theory that the entire thing was a cover story Davis created so he could market the overall tragedy, including Pia's unexpected death, without looking craven and heartless. The experience took a lot out of him though, as evidenced by the final scene. Re comments upthread regarding Pia's appearance, she read as some kind of space alien to me, specifically Star Trek's Borg Queen. I think her severe look was deliberate, to make her seem more detached from the awfulness of her film subject.
  18. I liked the new opening. Juiced up Chapel and M'Benga kicking ass and taking Klingon names. I thought it was hilarious. Yeah, nice homage to Nichelle Nichols before the end credits rolled. I teared up. Okay season opener, needed more Pike IMO. And I think a little bit of Carol Kane's character goes a long way. A way long way. I'm already tired of her.
  19. Selma Hayak bouncing to Saweetie was not something I ever expected to see. "Selma Hayak's anus" was not a phrase I ever expected to hear in my entire life. Quam-puta. Wonder if the Cate Blanchett version of Joan said that? Seems unlikely since Spanish isn't her first language. I didn't hate this season opener but thought it was too Inception-ish.
  20. When Sally first knew she was pregnant the writing did not allow her to mention the option of not continuing with the pregnancy. Chloe sort of alluded to it but the discussion was extremely vague and brief. Today Elena specifically said it was possible Sally and/or the baby would not survive the emergency surgery. In several states now if the baby dies it's assumed such medical intervention was the deliberate cause. The doctors and hospitals involved could be charged with doing something now deemed in those places to be illegal. I was surprised TPTB allowed the latter scenario but the not the former since the show is broadcast in places where what happened today would be frowned upon--to put it mildly. Many doctors and hospitals will no longer treat women in Sally's situation for fear of putting themselves in legal jeopardy. I figured the show would take the safe route and just have Sally miscarry. CH really didn't seem into wearing the fake baby bump, IMO of course. Yep and apparently among his other problems, Cameron had poor eyesight.
  21. Chance letting Sharon and Nick go through Cameron's duffel bag meant it and none of its contents could be used as evidence in a court of law, assuming things ever got that far. Geez, Chance, do better. Adam joking about Baby Girl Newman dressing up for Halloween was kind of iffy to me. Hope Billy never hears him say that. Hey, JG? You need to abolish the word "cat" and all its synonyms from your vocabulary as far as Y&R is concerned. I'm not joking. Guess Cameron forgot about Noah and Mariah when he was waxing lunatic about creating a family life with Sharon and Faith. DESTINY? Oh FFS, Cameron must've a watched a lot of B&B when he was in prison. Half the characters over there use "destiny" as a handy excuse for their bad deeds too. πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’©πŸ’© Victor acting all tough yet being of zero help in Sharon and Faith's dire situation. Meh. What happened to the special ops guy he said found on the internet? AYFKMWTS???!!! How did Faith not know there was a bomb strapped under her hoodie? She should've felt it. The stupidity; it burns. Wow, Sharon's wee little knife slid right out of its duct tape holder, easy peasy. It didn't seem big enough to kill someone instantly though. She must've been pumped with adrenaline when she used it to ventilate Cam's chest. I am surprised this show went with surgical intervention as a plot point for Sally's pregnancy problems. That's basically illegal now in several parts of the US where Y&R likely airs. The doctor and hospital could be brought up on charges. Yet the writers wouldn't let Sally even mention the possibility of not proceeding with the pregnancy. Hmm. Re the previews: will Chance have to decide whether to snip the red wire or the green wire as the bomb's timer clicks down to 00:00? Tune in next week on The Trite and the ClichΓ©d.
  22. Why was Sally sleeping with all the lights on? "Time hasn't touched you." Lol, Cameron, even Sharon knows that's a load of b.s. Did she have a double chin when you first became obsessed with her? 😼 Man, Cameron is 110% nucking futz. He's way beyond Sharon's meager skills as a coffeehouse therapist. You can't reason with someone determined to live in an alternate reality. O hai, Phyllis. I can't stand Nate but I have to admire the smooth way he is working Victoria. He has d!ckmatized the eff out of her. Yet she thinks she's the one in control because she's the CEO of NE. Girl, bye. Aw, Victoria, you may think Adam is the weakest link but Nate is no match for Adam on his best day. You go right ahead though and send your lover in for the slaughter. Elena! I was wondering if she was still around. She had time today, hah hah. Time to crack Vikki's face AGAIN. Fat lot of help you are, Billy. That's what you get for trying to insert yourself into Connor's life as his substitute father. Stay in your parental lane, moron. Hope as Baby Girl Newman's name. I vote Nah. Guess Adam isn't considering what Sally dealt with back in L.A. Seems to me she'd want to avoid a lifetime reminder of the bad old days back with the Logans, Forresters, and Spencers. But Elena, hon, ya gotta know when to walk away. Victoria and Nate aren't worth so much of your continued time and attention. Did Connor roll his eyes at Billy? 😏😏😏😏 Sounds like Connor is over Johnny too. Good job, Chelsea. You blithely complicated Connor's sibling life for your own satisfaction and now Johnny's treating you both like an afterthought. Oh come on, Cameron tunneled under Sharon's house and made a hole in a wall? How would no one have noticed that? Sigh, I wish I cared more about Sally's perilous pregnancy.
  23. Hee, it'll probably help if your legs are sweating a lot. But even still, hope Sharon shaved her legs recently or ripping off the tape is gonna hurt extra badly. Frankly I think that dress is a tough one to pull off on most women. It probably only works on extremely thin body types. Diane or Tessa might could wear it but the dress doesn't seem to be a style either of them would choose. The dress reads as "GC Junior League" or "Ladies Who Lunch" to me. Yes! I've been enjoying the heck out of Chance and Cameron wearing the same shirt in different colors. This cheap a$$ show has to save money wherever they can I guess.
  24. Chance was born in 1998 and Abby was born in 2000, making them supposedly 35 and 23. Now that math ain't mathin", at least not if you go by their looks IMO. CF's birthday is in the fall and IRL he's just now sliding into 30. M0 is 40. I think both characters look closer to the ages of the actors who portray them versus what they should be going only by show history. Lol, Erica Kane's jumpsuit was fitted too, in order to accentuate her tiny waist. I imagine Red's version would only have one sleeve and she'd be sporting a cold shoulder.
  25. Daniel acting so blasé about his sister and mommy likely being headed for jail didn't sit right with me. It isn't as if he doesn't share some culpability for not turning Phyllis in when he had the chance. The Newmans are one of the most powerful families in the world and they can't deal with Cameron. It's up to mama bear Sharon to take him down. BWAH HAH HAH HAH HAH! In theory I like the idea of Audra moving on Kyle. However, I don't see what's in it for her besides a quick lay with a married man. If she's no longer working with Tucker, using Kyle for an inside track to Jabot or Marchetti wouldn't seem to me to be a worthwhile play for her. Diane, you might as well have been arguing with a toaster. Summer has fallen completely into the victim delusions Phyllis has created. You're not the one to pull her out. Victor said he found the number of a special ops guy whose specialty is rescue missions. Where was Victor looking, on Craigslist? Special Ops R Us? Is Liam Neeson's Taken character (who has a very particular set of skills) moonlighting in the Upper Midwest? I cannot with this silliness. You're wary of Audra, Kyle? Bouffant Boy, you don't even know. Audra was holding in her claws and playing with you like a cat does with bugs before it chomps them. Mariah coming in hot! No way Snowflake could stand up to that blowtorch of truth, lol. Nice try, Summer. Cameron bought property in GC in his own name and is apparently holding Faith hostage there. IMO that is beneath his usual level of deviousness. You'd think he would've created multiple holding companies so the deed couldn't be traced back to him so easily. FFS, Summer, the main reason you exist is because Mariah's twin sister Cassie died (and Nick couldn't handle his grief). She's always going to feel a way about you, even if it's just a tiny amount. Get over yourself. WHAAAATT!!!??! Cameron was IN THE HOUSE!??!!? So, will he immediately pat Sharon down for weapons or start feeling her up because he thinks it'll turn her on? 😱😱😱
