  1. Nah, I'm fine with it. Sharon having to compete with Phyllis Jr. for a man is hilarious to me. Only this time Sharon can't get pregnant to lure the guy back to her. Whatever, I always say the person in the middle of a love triangle holds the power in the situation. If Chance wants to alternate between two women bouncing on his junk, I'm not gonna be mad at him. Both women have been around enough blocks to know better.
  2. Given their ages, I doubt Diane and Jack were using any kind of protection. So, going to pee after their intimate activity would be advised in order to head off a possible UTI. Instead, I imagine the real issue was having a certain delivery made to the Abbott Mansion without setting the neighbors' tongues wagging:
  3. ^^^<jinx; I didn't log on fast enough ☺️> No, he hasn't, not even when Adam was portrayed by an actor who was noticebly older than the current one. Phyllis hasn't gotten with Tucker either. It's odd because IMO her cooch has usually been her default weapon.
  4. Lol, Tucker was staring at Traci like, "Where did you come from?" Right there with ya, Tucker. Traci must have a space portal no one knows about except her and NASA. Adam, you were not born yesterday. You knew Victor wasn't going to keep any info related to NE away from Victoria. Stop trying to make him choose you over her. Oh please, Kyle, you didn't push Adam out of Jabot. You're so cute trying to impress Audra with your mad bizniz skilz. Ruh roh, Billy. Tucker might be onto your double-agent ploy. Hope you have Machiavelli's private number in your contacts list because Tucker is a master schemer. Yay, it's another Flashback Friday! 🤡 Nah, Abby, I think your mommy's problem is she's jealous of Diane. She knows Diane's man actually does love her, heaven help him. Holey moley, with all those candles Diane and Jack's bedroom looked like an 18th century brothel to me. And not in a good way. Hey, did EB accidentally say a word not allowed on broadcast TV? It sounded like Victor yelled, "I'm tired of this sh!t!" to Adam but the camera cut away so you couldn't see his mouth when the naughty bit at the end was snipped. Meh on Diane's ersatz wedding reception dress. Again with the stretchy, sparkly fabric. 😒 Adam the Harvard MBA forced to work under TGVN's tutelage. Sure. At one time Adam was a wolf of Wall Street. I don't think there's much he's going to learn from Victor at this point accept how to function with daddy's thumb up his a$$. "OR WHAT?!!!???" Lawdamercy, the Abbotts about to start throwing hands in the middle of the GCAC! Whee! Seriously though, I think JT and PB really brought their A-games for that scene. Re the previews: the room Phyllis and Adam were in looked like Lily and Billy's former condo. Interesting. Is Adam moving in there or is Phyllis?
  5. It was so silly. Does JG think having Ashley scream something like that is shocking? Geez, maybe it was back in the 80s when Krystle said it to Alexis on Dynasty. Now calling someone a stupid b!tch is almost a term of endearment. OMG, that book absolutely enraged me. And then I later I read the two sequels hoping it would get better. Yeah, no. I think someone needs to run 50 Shades through AI and see if that mess can be fixed, at least all the grammar and spelling errors. Heh, including the part where she wakes up and Gina Tognoni is playing her. Right? Nothing about them reads as romantic to me. It's as if they settled for each other because neither of them had any other options. I think having Chance mention Dom staying at his place was JG sending a message. All the people who complained on the soap forums about Dominic being used as an excuse for Devon and Abby to move to the Chancellor Mansion? As far as JG is concerned you can go eff yourselves.
  6. Kyle in a three-piece suit, outside, in the middle of summer. Oy, how was he not drenched in sweat? Audra. Giiirrlll. Even the GC bowling alley doesn't have the balls you've got. Maybe when you walk up on Summer and Kyle talking about their separation you should shift into reverse. Um, Billy, you probably don't want to be discussing your big undercover mission to save Jabot from Ashley and Tucker in a public place. Loose lips sink cosmetics companies. Diane still hasn't learned when not to gloat in someone's face. I could see Ashley doing something to try to stop Diane and Jack's marriage ceremony since she now has advanced warning of where it will occur. Why was Phyllis lowkey smirking at Jack while he was chewing her out? I'm thinking she needs to work on her poker face because Jack was not buying her iffy apologies. Every party needs a pooper, Kyle. Why couldn't you just be happy for your parents' speedrun to wedded bliss? And using fake NM meetings as an excuse to avoid the sudden nuptials was kinda tacky IMO. Chelsea told Summer she has tons of ideas to help Marchetti "maximize its potential." Lol, did she have a flashback to 1975 with that old cliché? Wait, what? Was Chance putting a move on Summer?!?! Do it, Summer! Climb that hotness like a tree. Bonus points if Kyle finds out within 24 hours. Audra and Kyle and more of their bedroom antics. Okay. Has Tucker ever met OG Phyllis? My guy, you better buckle up because Red--just this once (🙄)--is about to go HAM on your hiney. Whee! Bleh, not a fan of Diane's wedding dress. The sparkly, spotted fabric was not working for me at all.
  7. When Victor gave Nate that reminder I almost saw a thought bubble appear over Nate's head which read, "Challenge accepted." Even without Audra's urging Nate seems determined to prove he can do the impossible. I still don't see how he's going to use Victoria though because she's not going hand her daddy's company over to Nate, not for good sex and not for a wedding ring. Ashland Locke already tried it and look what happened to him. At the end of the day the Newmans are always going to protect NE.
  8. Yep. I was a fairly solid supporter of Sally when she came over from B&B but this thing she's running between Nick and Adam has me struggling. If Victor were 15 years younger I'd wonder whether she'd go after him too. Ehh. I stopped watching B&B a while ago but when Sally mentioned seeing Coco and their grandmother back in LA I wondered whether it was a continuity error. I didn't even realize Sally had gone to LA until today.
  9. Jill simply accepts it when Victor decides to snatch one of her company's contractors. Not sure why JG has decided to turn her into a tool. FFS, who answers the door in their underwear? Oh yeah, Nate does. Audra didn't seem fazed though. I guess seeing her boss in a state of undress falls under "other duties as assigned" for her. Billy's going deep undercover in the Jack vs Ashley war over the family business. Oy, what could possibly go wrong? Jabot becomes toast, with Billy supplying the butter and jam. Real talk from Nick to Sally about accepting Victor's sudden job offer. He knows Victor is probably working her but she pretty much sees nothing but dollar signs. Sigh. Wait, Nate got a brand new suit because he gets to sit in Victoria's CEO chair while she's out of town? Aw, Olivia would be so proud. All it took was him dickmatizing Victoria to within an inch of her life. 🙄🙄🙄 Thankfully Sally's sister and grandmother were able to get through to her about blaming Adam for Baby Ava's death. Perhaps now she and Adam can stop agonizing over it. Sour grapes Nick showing up at NE to rag on Nate to his face AGAIN. Nick, either let it go or find another approach because Nate's ego is impervious to a frontal attack. Not sure why Sally keeps tolerating Adam's inability to accept their breakup. I'm starting to think maybe she enjoys swatting him down. Lol, Nate trying to go mano a mano with Billy. Sidepart, you don't even know. Billy truly gives no fcuks; he's never had to. You might want to stay out of his lane before he brake checks you. And then Audra comes in to cheer Nate on in that sly way of hers. What is she up to? 🤔 Sally, selling your self-esteem to Victor is a chump move. You're gonna wish you'd listened to Nick and Adam when Victor decides he's done owning you. Jack, Jack, Jack. A quickie wedding? Let me tell you what's going to bring you & Diane down: Diane! You're playing right into her hands.
  10. Not only that, Ashley was cheating on Neil when she first got with Tucker. AFAIC Abby needs to stay out of grown folks' business.
  11. OMG, even Worn on TV was throwing shade on Sharon today. Look at this photo they posted of her outfit: I'm sorry but I think she looks like a drunk call girl after a busy day at the airport NoTell Hotel. Why is SC letting someone do this to her?
  12. Too brutal, lol! 🥳 Yeah, Sharon and Chance aren't working for me either. It's simply not believable IMO for a guy Chance's age and with his looks. He's being used to prop Sharon for some unknown reason.
  13. I liked Sally's silky minidress. Cute style for her. Chance wasn't looking so great to me in his sloppy shirt and sports jacket though. He should probably just go topless. And bottomless. There seems to be a war brewing between Adam and Chance. Ehhh. Sharon doesn't need Chance playing White Knight for her against her ex. She can handle Adam. So was Victor slouching in the GCPD dining room just to do his Don Corleone routine with Phyllis? Now she's got both him and Tucker holding axes over her head. Oh noes! Leanna Love. Okay. But come on, are these GC people really worthy of a gossip show's "breaking news" broadcast? Bet Tucker put her up to it. Sally, TGVN giveth and TGVN taketh away. Your current and most recent boyfriends are prime examples. Don't get caught in his web or he'll make your experiences with $Bill Spencer feel like a sunny day at the beach. Not Malibu. Hmm, I didn't know Leanna and Jack had a thing back in the day. Adam offering to hire Phyllis as his lead IT person at Adustus. Didn't see that coming. Talk about inviting the fox into the hen house. Now we're getting flashbacks of scenes which happened five minutes ago. This show's budget must be stretched tighter than Sharon's face. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Sure hope Chance brings the heat in bed (or on couch) because IMO he's a sad dancer. Meanwhile, Sharon sure was a cheap date, shuffling around in her stilettos next to the coffeehouse jukebox after business hours. Chance couldn't even take her home, or to his place? Gah.
  14. Neither of these posts appear to have anything do with the topic of this thread, Unpopular Opinions. There's a thread called The Way We Wish It Were: We're Writing It Over Thanks! which is perhaps the appropriate place for speculative imaginings about past and future Y&R storylines.
  15. Hee. MS has been known to ad lib lines sometimes. I want to believe no one actually wrote Phyllis to say that of herself. Especially when they seem to trying to move her into a redemption arc. Trying. Yeah, she's been wearing her lipstick like that for years, at least since back when she owned the Garnish Pumpernickel, which is when I first noticed it. The flashback scenes don't do her any favors because you can see back in the day she had a normal-looking mouth. I wonder if it relates to whatever she's doing to cause the duck lips?
  16. What have they done to the Chancellor Mansion set? It looked way smaller to me, and like a basic tract house instead of the centerpiece of a a huge estate. No wonder it got handed off to Abby and Devon. Low-rent digs for two people with more money than class. And they can trot out the Jabot conference room set but we still have no idea where Billy sleeps at night. Or Chance. 😏 Tucker got to make a big emo speech to declare Devon's moving into his grandmother's home the realization of a long, poignant dream. I see you, JG. Whatever. 🙄 I thought defense attorneys didn't want to know if their client was lying about their alibi because it could put them professional jeopardy? Maybe I skipped class at Law & Order University the night attorney-client privilege vs perjury were discussed. Boo hoo, Phyllis. Since when are you letting the likes of Tucker hold their foot on your neck? He's fairly thin so you could probably run him over with an electric scooter versus a whole car. Just throwing an idea out there. Phyllis kept on lying to Heather. But I feel like Heather basically insinuated she didn't want Phyllis to come fully clean about EMT Carson. I hope she got a huge retainer because IMO this case is sitting on quicksand and might end her career. Was Tucker supposed to look thrilled and honored Abby and Devon want him and Ashley to have their wedding at the estate? He wasn't quite giving me a happy vibe. 🤔 Smarmy Billy rolling up on Phyllis and Heather to cast some cold snark. Dude, you had an ugly public affair with Phyllis when she was still married to your brother. 'Member dat? You lost the moral high ground years ago. Shut up. Oh dear, I'm still kind of squicked out to hear Phyllis and Billy discussing Summer. Lol, EMT Carson is missing. Oops! Slippery little devil.
  17. I decidedly don't watch Lower Decks so the cartoon opening immediately put me off. Ensign Boimler's feet looked huge when he was lying down on the examination table. Was that a cartoon thing? Pike has a bit of pride about his high hair it seems. I just love how game Anson Mount is to have Pike look silly despite being a Starship captain. The Orion ship captain had some great swagger. He had really mastered the "unbothered" attitude. Spock making jokes with that cheesy grin was hilarious. In Lower Decks world TOS means Those Old Scientists. Of course. The actual meaning would be too meta. 🙄 Not my favorite episode but the amount of Pike was more than adequate.
  18. Meanwhile, ditto to all the other praise, NinjaPenguins you were on fire yesterday. I'm still laughing at Grand Theft Schmatta.
  19. Seriously! Tucker's non-verbal reactions are usually the highlight of any episode in which he appears. On the stupid audio-only Y&R podcast the listener would have no clue what he was doing. Why even bother? Hee, it wasn't even that deep. The guy was the king of Media. Y&R wanted to use "Howard Stern" as the name of Ashland Locke's company but he wouldn't let them. So we got Cyaxares instead. Yeah, that's the ticket. 😏 I guess the supposed all-powerfulness of Newman Media must be an inside joke behind the scenes since Y&R is produced by a division of Sony. Sony is indeed one of the biggest media companies in the world and it's not located in some sleepy 'burb in WI. Honestly, whenever the Newmans start going on about NM I want to scream at the TV, "Um, Disney, Warner Brothers, Paramount, and Universal would like to have a word, you morons." Gah.
  20. This reference is not to the Bible but instead to an encyclopedia set called Cyclopædia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature, edited by John McClintock and James Strong. McClintock and Strong were 19th century Methodist theologians. The references listed in the above quote are from that encyclopedia, not the Bible, and per Google SEO magic they appear first in a search on the words "Cyaxares" and "bible." Furthermore, the citations in the McClintock and Strong encyclopedia are from a seminal work collectively called the Histories, written by Greek historian Herodotus around 430 BC. Per my research on the Bible Gateway, there are no specific references to Cyaxares in any of the 200+ officially published versions of the Bible it has documented. And in other news, I think one of Y&R's most blatant efforts to jump on a trend was with podcasts. All of sudden Billy, Chelsea, and Elena were hosting them and apparently C/W had a whole division devoted to producing them. Y&R even started producing its own podcast, though I use the term "producing" generously. The Y&R podcast is nothing more than each episode's audio track, provided with zero context. The people in a given scene don't always refer to each other by name so unless you recognize the voices you might have trouble figuring out what's going on. Also, in some scenes the characters don't talk; for example, when they're getting it on there's nothing but the music. IMO the Y&R podcast is a joke.
  21. Gee, I really liked Chelsea's dress today. I'm scared. Apparently it's Flashback Friday. 🙄 Bees are good luck? Okay, Obi Wan Billy. Do continue to bless us with your apiary wisdom. Summer, stop acting brand new. You know how adultery works. Dang, I gotta give Audra points for tossing Summer"s attempts at shaming right back at her. How was Adam the Harvard MBA sitting there listening to Sharon and Nick spout their business buzzwords without laughing in their faces? So much synergy! Harrison is not your son, Summer. Stop using him to prop up your failed marriage. I would so love it if Audra tracked down Tara and finagled to bring her back to GC to reclaim her child. Give me this, JG! I want it! 🥴 Nick needs to ease up on the spray tan. And hit the gym. Standing next to svelte Sharon, he looked to me to be heading into his second trimester. 😼 Adam, Sharon, and Nick working together. Will the three of them become the NE Cerberus, the NE Hydra, or the NE Three Musketeers? Now they're calling it Adustus-Kirsten? I can't. Oy, I don't know what's worse, taking marital advice from crazypants Chelsea or letting psycho Phyllis guide your life decisions. Summer is straight fukt, she's just refusing to accept it. Adam sure is going hard against Audra. What's that all about? Re the previews: Kill. Me. Now. I don't see Ashley being particularly excited about her and Tucker getting married at the Chancellor Estate. I don't see Jill being thrilled about it either since it's her house.
  22. Yeah, I'm thinking TPTB were quite surprised by the huge negative reaction on the soap forums to Abby and Devon taking over that particular legacy set.
  23. Loved that color of dress on Diane today. And the matching bag. Perfection. I wish I understood why Tucker is putting all his eggs in Phyllis' basket in order to get rid of Diane and take down Jabot. He should know nobody backs Phyllis into a corner without risking her attacking them. Wow, Diane sure showed a lot of grace with Phyllis, even if it was mostly a cover for her true feelings. I bet eventually they're going to work together to stop Tucker since he's a problem for them both. Yikes, Phyllis' hairstyle in that flashback with Christine was so awful! I thought she looked like an over-aged prom queen. Who would've been calling Christine to give her the 3rd degree about Phyllis' case? Would it be the state governor? Either way, I don't see a reason for that person to care. Phyllis isn't like Al Capone or some other big time criminal. Christine, you're already professionally compromised due to your bad personal history with the defendant. Stop talking to Phyllis about the case. You're just tipping her off to how you'll present the prosecution at the trial. Clean up on aisle four! I just coughed up a lung from laughing so hard. OMG, I wish JG would write this. The ratings would shoot right to the stratosphere because the audience would be stuck on trying to parse the insanity. (Seriously though, hasn't B&B sorta already gone there? Some of those Forresters are actually Marones.)
  24. Was reading on another soap site that there have been a lot of shenanigans going on with Y&R scenes filmed but not aired, or scenes airing on different dates than the show gave to the media for spoilers/publicity. For example, Abby and Devon moved out of his penthouse on July 12 (US, Wednesday) and scenes of them having moved into Chancellor Mansion were to appear on July 14 (US, Friday). As of today Abby and Devon have not yet been seen living in Kay's mansion, at least not on the US broadcast. These are images of scenes which were to appear last Friday in the US: I suppose the show could still air those but as of today in the US, GC's day has finally moved forward. Now those Abby and Devon scenes would only make sense if shown as flashbacks. What is going on? For a show so cheap in other ways, it's strange that they'd spend the money to film scenes which they then don't let the audience see. BTW, I wonder if our friends up in Canada got to see these missing scenes? If so, that means the US viewers are no longer receiving the same show as the Canadian viewers. Not sure how CBS would get away with that.
  25. Aw, Summer, begging Kyle to save your marriage when you know he's been boinking Audra? Have some pride, hon. They took jailbird Phyllis' passport. Oh noes! Guess she'll have to skip that around-the-world, yay no prison tour she had planned. 🙄 I'm not sure being able to justify everything she's done means Phyllis was right to do them. Doesn't everyone who commits wrong believe they were justified, at least in the heat of the moment? 🤔 Sharon willingly going up against Victor in business is odd to me. This thing with merging KI and AI/MU seems like a pure plot-driven development IMO. JG is having to write a lot of almost OOC dialogue to make it work. No, Tucker cannot be even the tiniest bit jealous of Audra's relationship with Kyle. It will not stand! Kyle. You've been around enough blocks to know better than to admit you screwed someone behind your wife's back. You pretty much leaned into that slap from Summer. Pshht, Sharon giggling like a school girl and batting her eyes for Chance. Act your age, Grandma Cradle Robber. AFAIC he is so out of your league you might as well live on Neptune. I think someone needs to explain to Summer and Daniel the difference between "innocent" and "not guilty." Because their psycho mommy is many things but innocent is and will never be one of them. Chance lowkey ragging on Adam was unexpected. Why should he care what Adam does? And why has he appointed himself Sharon's cheerleader and advisor? Hmm.
